As you guys can probably guess: I like cars, a lot. But in the recent years my interest in modern (street)cars began to fade. Back then, I could’ve told you the exact amount of power the Audi RS6 produces. And yes, the cars of today are more economical and capable of mind boggling top speeds. But they all miss that ‘feel’, the thing you can’t put your finger on. That’s why I started reading about the ‘golden era’ of motorsports, and more and more I started to appreciate the cars of the past.
Same goes for the BMW M1, until several years ago I didn’t even knew the existing of this beast. Let alone the circuit ready ‘Procars’. But a friend of me bought a magazine which featured this ‘kidney-shaker’. And immediately the special BASF livery caught my eye, and never left my mind. Needless to say, that’s the reason why I decided to recreate it for pCARS.

The car participated in races from 1979 to 1983, in different shapes and slightly modified livery. Team GS Sport also raced a M1 in Le Mans 1981, obviously sporting the BASF livery. This particular version is the ’80 car, driven by Hans Stuck.

I made this Iron Maiden Trooper Beer skin originally for my own game as I have been into Maiden since the early 80's & Trooper Beer since I 1st ever found it in Sainsbury's a couple of years ago, but thought I would release the skin so other Iron Maiden fans & Trooper Beer fans can race with their favourite beer livery.

As I progress through the game, I make the skin for the car I have to use & then race it. All my cars now have the same Trooper Livery (only slight differences due to car shape & panel sizes).
