To keep an good overview for the users and developers over the issues that have been reported.

The idea is to link to threads and posts that describe the issue.

For this I need your guys help. Please use this thread to posts links to issues that are confirmed by multiple users.

Do not report new issues here, use existing threads or create new ones if necessary.

Elmo. Recurring issues I've seen and I've experienced myself (Onlly happened on my Windows10, not My Win8.1 but it was reported on that too).

Sometime when game crashes, profile gets wiped and you'll start with a fresh one

On my note, Steam Profile is the one wiped, the GraphicsXML still OK

Elmo. Recurring issues I've seen and I've experienced myself (Onlly happened on my Windows10, not My Win8.1 but it was reported on that too).

Sometime when game crashes, profile gets wiped and you'll start with a fresh one

Those are three different issues described there. The one with switching between wheel and controller isn't a bug, since the game does not yet support multiple control settings.

When you find another person with the same problem than it is fair to say it is a bug. At the moment it sounds like a local problem to me.

Many 3rd party overlays (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22136-crashes-PC&p=887532&viewfull=1#post887532) are causing instability. MSI, Raptor, Steam

People having lots of crashes should try disabling these overlays and see if it helps.

Steering speed is missing. It is impossible to get raw output from the controller stick (even with custom steering wheel settings, game apply's some filters for steering speed). There is always default steering speed that is to slow for countering or competitive racing:

This problem is very common. A lot of people have that problem.

After JIP you often cannot drive - everything except the lobby is locked in menu (doesnt matter if free practice or qualy). Multiple-rejoining solves the problem.

There are many bug reports around this and Steam forums. If you rely on others reporting relevant threads in here, information here will be pretty limited.

There is a phenomena in replays that could be described in many ways: twitching, jittering, chopping or stuttering of camera movements and cars. It was included in almost every video review. WMD members said it is a known bug and it was addressed before, yet it is still present and not on your list here (render section I guess is the right place?). Is your list coordinated with WMD forums BTW?

Improper masking of effects I pointed in this thread is rather a bugreport than suggestion IMO, since light does not go through solid objects in our world as far as I'm concerned.

A suggestion is something like "add snowing" or "give us rally stages" from my point of view. I do not ask for that. I try to point out existing features where the game somehow does not meet today's standards, like this for example: the right hand collide with steering wheel while making a shift at the same time http://gifmaker.cc/PlayGIFAnimation.php?folder=20150421223OpKKtURSe4Top4MiOCcqq&file=output_v3fkC6.gif . I'm not saying it should have priority over game crashes or something. All I try to say is that it should be included on your list.

AI lights was a suggestion, as for sun rays not many people might have realized it due to varied graphics settings.
By the way I've added another "bug", intro isn't skipable with keyboard, only mouse or wheel buttons.

on G25 try the buton on the shifter. The bottom one of the 4 that are arranged like a cross (not the FOV, the one right above the UP FOV)

When I said wheel buttons I meant all of them, still I just use the mouse because generally the UI is badly optimized for anything else besides the mouse.

AI race pace in thunderstorms and sometimes in the rain is nearly as fast as the dry. Ai tyre temps up to tem1p quicker than players and sometimes player is unable to get up to temp at all in thunderstorms.

Hello all,

Glad to find this thread. I see that Race engineer rarely speaks in on this list which I thought was something that I was experiencing. Another thing that I would like to bring to attention, but I am not 100% sure is an actual issue, is related to the race engineer as well

I was racing Renault Clio's on Snetterton and the race engineer always seemed to be behind on weather cues. After a massive downpour he advised of "heavy rain approaching" but the sky was getting better at that time and the rain had stopped. I believe the issue may be caused by the increase of weather progression. I had it at 5x or 10x I believe. That was the main cue that I remember (mainly due to wet weather being quite challenging) but it happened a few times during that race.

I have since decreased the progression of weather to 2x so I haven't noticed any issues with this too much since. But I do feel I should be getting more updates from him. The last race he was pretty talkative though, so I am not sure what could be causing that issue. I want to say he may have missed weather cues all together in some instances.

I don´t know if this issue is the same of other steering issues. My friend bought yesterday the game (via steam i guess) When he plays on practice/weekend/career, all works fine, but playing on private lobby, i can drive my car with my 360 controller, but he, using keyboard, had all locked. No accelerate, no steering, couldn´t leave the lobby... It could be a bug for use different kind of controllers, and have all conditions in "the same"?

I just wanted to advise that I just did a 20 lap race at Mazda Raceway in the BMW Z4 GT3 car in a multiclass race and for some reason the engineer was a chatterbox. Every lap speaking/updating on the driver in front or behind. Needing to keep a solid pace or where to attack the car in front. It was amazingly fun to not only feel the pressure of him wanting me to do better, but praise me accordingly after a clean pass or dash down the inside of turn 1. This is how it should be... :)

I did notice as soon as I was somewhat alone on the track during a small point he was dead silent however. I feel proximity to others may be a factor.

Very interesting... So it sounds like he just stops caring haha. So we know he can do his job but he is just choosey as to when. I have had him be silent when around cars as well. Hopefully this can be ironed out cause it is impressive when he gets going.

I would definitely put the shifting issue on this list which various users alread reported, mostly regarding downshifting straight to 1st resulting in an engine blow. While it might be a hardware issue, a simple interrupter rendering the shifting button for some miliseconds (10ms as an example) in the software would solve this problem. There are racing sims actually offering this options to avoid too fast shifting, would be great to have it in pCars as well.

Yes i experience faulty reflections on the hood also from helmet cam, and i'm on PC.
To me it seems like there is way too much of the trackside reflected on the top of the hood, whilst the hood should mostly reflect the skies.

Pits in Bathurst are broken. The witches hats get run into as if they are a brick wall and the AI can't navigate them and eventually just gives up. I got caught behind a car which was obviously out of the race and the AI couldn't get around it. It was parked in front of the next pit box.

Car interior lit by headlights behind

Looks like car body doesn't stop a light emitted by headlights of car behind.
IRL car behind can't lit your dashboard because headlights are usually mounted at lower level than rear window. Only a small amount of bouncing light might fall on the dash.

It has been reported by me on WMD and right now is notified by other user in following post for even a car which has no rear window at all

Well i would guess root causes for the bugs need to be identified first, then they need to be fixed and then they need to be tested so it's a 100% sure they don't cause other problems. Makes sense no?

AI runs the same on track and of track.
AI sometimes ignores you and ram on you. (no blue flag for them)
Tires sound not enough. No possible to listen even when i am drifting.

A really strange glitch I found with Oulton Park Fosters and the Superkarts is the AI have a tendency of having their cars "explode" (all of their bodywork flies off) when hitting the kerbs in the first corner.

Steam does automatically detect and download updates when you open it.

UI issue, Soft Clipping (Half Input) defaults to 0.10 when setting 0, workaround is resetting controller defaults.


Note, UI bug!
Value Soft Clipping (Half Input) back to 0.00, the value resets back to 0.10 after saving the change. Controller reset is
the only way to get it back to 0.00.

This wreaks havoc on further FFB settings if it goes unnoticed. ( :disillusionment: ).

you can not save the camera position, I use the internal view and I have to move every time the camera position, even if I do races with the same car. I am forced to use ctrl + k and the pitch, every time I enter in the track with any car.

Added. Thought this was only the case in Online (were one could argue that this is a design decision), but in QRW the player should be able to finish his lap (as in the Career mode).

For example: I created an online race in Imola to start at 14h00 in the game with 15 minutes of Qualify and 20x time; the Qualify begins at 14h00 and ends at night, but the race starts in the NIGHT too instead of starting at 14h00 as it should be. =(

It could be a way to individually set the start time of each session (Practice 1-2 Qualify, Warm Up and Race)? Rather than do it all in the same day

The option "Time Progression" in event setup screen always resets itself to "Off" in singleplayer modes when starting the session. No time progression. Anyone else with this issue?
Seems to work in multiplayer sessions though.

Had a big problem.

When i want a to race a online race i get into a lobby. After about 10 or 15 sec the mouse courser went into the working symbol ( The blue ring ). Then the game crashes compleatly.
I mean next was i see is the desktop, game closed and steam too.

What can i do or can anybody help?

In TT the game works fine btw

Since the recent 1.3 patch I have not had this issue anymore and I have not made any local configuration changes so something in 1.3 seems to have solved this. I will mark it closed.

I discovered that turning Anti-Aliasing off improves the stuttering issue in replays slightly, but it's still there.

My op was perfectly valid. It's not 'whinging' but an observation as a customer who purchased said 'non beta' game. It's merely flawed. If I provided a service to my client base they would expect\question along the same trail of thought. ;)

Hi Elmo, do you have an update about the notorious white line in the FFB graph? I had it occurring again last night when i increased the Sop sliders in the FFB menu.
Had to restart the session for it to disappear.

All cars have specific tire choice for setup, but the "pit strategy" choice is comon to all cars and can give some strange résults, for exemple in group 5 , on heavy rain, if you get "maxi pluie" tires in pit, car is totally unplayable.
It seems woking anyway with lmp cars, GT3, but still a difference anyway with the possible choices in "car setup" and "pit strategy". You can apply a pit "stragegy" done for a formula 1, to a catheram car ... wich tyres will be mounted ont the car ?

This problem is really annoying for league races, (or just long races) with a necessary pit (wheater, heat changing etc .... ).

now that you mentioned this. Last time i've done a pitstop my strategies were done with the Oreca for a 2 hours event. But in a race last week i did stop and press close after a hit that make me stop due to damage.

After the pitstop i had this very harsh rumble going straight on my z4.... I wonder what tyre did I get along the damage repairs. I had to quit because it was like flatspots but the tyres were green in the minihud...

To add another problem with the pit stragegy setup.... when you do a car setup, it's a different one for each track, with some difference for tyre presure. But the pit stragegy is not "linked" to a track, so you need to change it each time !

"Car setup" is linked to a car and track (but only one ... not good for rain, hot temps etc .... )
"Pit strategy" is linked to .... nothing. :)

If this is modified one day ... could be good too to let the user choose the amount of fuel too needed, not at least the volume in the car setup.

This isn't really a bug that was design decision for release. But you will be glad to hear that this will be addressed in one of the upcoming patches.

i got an TC UK street car race today on snetterton and oulton park, can you randomize the weather a little bit?
always i got this event its starting to rain in the second lap of qualifying in oulton park, and always the race is in rain... *serious?*
i got the BMW 1M,choose one of the liverys and got the preset livery, only if if start a quick race i got what i choose.
the analog and the digital speedmeters are not equal (analog is around 15-20 km/h slower)

* stuttery, jumping camera, even with high FPS, especially with panning cameras
* hiccuping AI
* wrong wheel turn angle (much lower comparing to racing or even TT replay)

* no rain mask (may be intended)

For the newly released Old vs New DLC, what class is the 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback supposed to be in?

It has road car liveries but it appears in the Historic B class with Ford Escort, BMW2002 and Mercedes Benz 3000. Also, both BMW 2002 and Mustang 2+2 appear in the road cars tab in the game's car selection UI, instead of touring cars.

If it is possible, please keep the Mustang in Historic B. I personally find it a great fit in that class, except it needs racing liveries.

Pit stops give wrong tires. I have had this issue when racing with a BMW 1-series with any of the events in Road Euro TC Championship, select softs, get wets. Select mediums, get wets. I have stability control as a button so I can turn it on and off, and see if it's on. In the bentley GT3 after 2.0 patch I have no stability control in just this car alone, I have tried everything to get it on its nothing to do with race settings etc, it's definatly some sort of glitch, i can't really use that car now as when stability is on everyone else has it except me :/.

Two things I noticed in my last session (both not game breaking...):

1. I still have issues with my selected views. I usually drive in Helmet view, helmet not visible. However, entering the pit or switching from qualifying to race usually results in the "normal" cockpit view. Hard to explain, but if I am entering the pit in the helmet view, it switches to the normal cockpit view as soon as I leave the pit. Of course not, if I am only in the pit for changing tires in a race, but as soon as I really enter the garage (showing up the screen with times, edit setup etc.), the view is changed...

2. the symbols for the right tires are slightly bigger than those for the left tires in my HUD.

That's it for the moment...

if you make any adjustment to the event such as change the number of laps.

I thought at first it could of been I had spotfy on turned it off the same problem, then tried my pedals on gt6 they working fine, got back on tried a new car everything was fine got back in the audi same problem and I went to a different track to make sure still same thing. I reported this a while back but can't see it on the list (although I might have reported it on the old forum).

If you select any DLC car for time trial, it is reset to the RWD P30 LMP1 the next time you launch pCARS. Similarly, if you select a DLC track (currently only Ruapuana) then Dubai Autodrome International is selected when you next launch pCARS. With more and more content coming this is going to affect people more and more. Although it's only a few seconds to change, it is a slight irritation that is just going to get worse as more cars and tracks get added.

(this is on PC by the way, no idea if it affects PS4 and/or XBOXONE)

It's because at the time those cars have been raced integral helmets haven't been used. You have a helmet cam, but you'll not notice any difference to the normal cockpit view, 'cause the jet-helmets or even half helmets hadn't a visor at that time. Have a closer look at the Lotus 49. You'll notice the same.
Apart from that I'm slightly wondering about the screeshot above. The guy is clearly waering an Integral helmet.

Could you help me out with a few details - namely which car you were in, which game mode you were playing (Quick Race, Career etc), what Player Tailoring setting you chose (Novice/Amateur/Pro) etc?

Anyone noticed (online at least) that when you try to monitor other cars and then go back to setup, the car setup is a mess with different values?

You have to leave the session to "load" the normal car values.

Example, try an lmp2, spectate a gt3 (I actually tried another lmp2 but it wasn't an Oreca like mine and it also happens) and ten return to pits to check you setup.

I was in pratice mode BUT i'm nearly 99% positive it happens in qualify. Probably happens in other modes too.

It's all very well and good having AI lights on but if the game then runs at 10fps, nobody is better off as a result. If it is possible to do, then SMS will do it. Personally, I can't see it happening but it's not my call to make, I - like the mods here - don't work for SMS.

The lights issue could be solved by having it as an option.

I'm still getting the the wrong race results, demoted from 1st to 2nd after a great race sucks.

Race times and ghost times still don't match, 1:23.xx in the menus the when you load it and check it in on track it says 1:24.xx

Nearly every ghost is out by a fraction 0.02 or something close so you beat it by a couple of thou and when you go to menu you haven't.

Option or not, it will kill the fps, we're studying other possibilities but don't want to get your hopes up.

Can you provide more info on those wrong race results you had?

Pit tyre changes from wet to dry doesn't work all the time."starts to rain, come in to change tyres to wet, puts slicks back on".
Incorrect display of finishing position in league events. If i clearly finish 1st at the end of the race stats screen i'm put in 3rd or 2nd at times.
Hardware drops outs with wheels at start of race after skipping warm ups into race.
wheel clipping after leaving pits or at the start of the race.
race weather progress resets after each stage progression.
Server crashing, not allowing drivers to join, unable to access back end of servers, server kicking divers in race warm up before race making them loose there grid position"league events".
Incorrect display of sun or sunset according to time.
When you race in a default set event, your setup doesn't reload when you go to the same track again with no forced default setup.
Setor timing not displaying correctly in online lobby.

This thread is giving 100% false information, and because of this the developers will not fix it. THE REPLAY STUTTERING IS NOT RESOLVED. I have a high spec'd rig and this stuttering (on the tv cam) has not been resolved since the day this game was released.

Try to spectate one car. If it is not wrong jst keep changing the car being watched or use tv cams on the s/f straight.

Works every single time and I bet it is the same as in replays because it sounds the same.

sounds like the cars are always hitting the rev limiter and it shows on the telemetry hud as well.

I ran into a problem when playing singleplayer.When I enter the pitbox to refuel and change tires it works perfectly until I leave the pitbox my cockpit camera changes to the outside view.
The second problem is when I went to play career mode with touring cars (LMP2) I set the time duration to 10 minutes (18%),in reality I ended up driving for 45 minutes.

In MP (with DS camera set to "any" ) sometimes I still get the bumper cam (or another one) instead of getting my default helmet cam.

Actually, I THINK it still does this even if the DS is set to cockpit/helmet only but I'll let you know IF I can get the help to test from the admins.

I tried that, i signed a key to the steering assist, whit on it is slightly different, bud when its off and the cars back end slides it makes an opposit lock, to recover the car from slideing. Im useing a logitech momo forcefeedback if it matters

Self alignment is a normal thing. I think you noticed that much because momo has only 270º of rotation IIRC so everything is more sudden.

I'd love to know what is causing this exactly, most noticeable on the new Lotus 49C, but all cars seem to suffer from it now. Tried dialing it out yesterday evening but wasn't successful whatever i tried.

@Elmo is SMS aware of what is causing this already? Please let us know thank you.

Tried the lotus 49C before going out for the weekend and that car and it is undriveable at default setup at least on the CSWv2. Way too much oscillation and too strong as well, as mentioned by others.

Just confirming the issue.

I can also confirm that with my OSW - nearly breaks your wrists if you are steering atall whilst braking.

Another issue to add to the list is the PID.dll crashes seen with OSW: here (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?37137-PCARS-and-OSW-Wheel-now-completely-stop-working) I have also posted a solution to this in that thread (pCars needs to reset FFB after destroying all forces).

if it´s "just" two allowed to reflect (technically), it should be the left and right, not the center.
