Hi,

Anyone started tuning yet? It's quite different from doing from Forza and wondered if anyone had a good few base ones to get going with?

You can google the tuning setup guides from iRacing or other PC sims, the naturally translate over well to Project CARS.

Also some good physics readings here (http://en.pcars.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Physics) created by the community to help you understand some of the physics.

My first tip is to get very comfortable with the braking, most (road) racing is about good braking so you don't want to lose control of the car while braking and getting ready for a turn. I find that I reduce Brake Pressure in most cars to prevent lock-ups/spin-outs while braking and I also adjust the Brake Balance and Brake Duct settings so that the brakes temperatures are a little hotter front vs. rear. If the rears get hot first and lock-ups that will spin your car around and possible end your race. If the fronts lock up first then you'll just go straight a little but you might be able to navigate out of trouble and save your race.

I am tinkering, but have no finished products as of yet.

Thanks Umer

I'm using the R18 at the mo, finding the 55% front and 70 % pressure is holding up well.

Am defo going to give this a go for different cars and tracks at some point. At the moment, I'm just trying to stay on the track ;)

Same here, I find the set up options quite confusing.....

Ive tweaked bits n bobs such as anti roll bar, spring stiffness, diff settings etc. Only small changes to suit any circuit, to try and make the game playable rather than than full on circuit specific setups. The settings are quite simplistic, there isn't endless incriments of tunibility. Which I like.

Hey, might sound a bit lazy but to be honest I can't really be bothered learning how to set it my car. When I used to play gt5 there was sites that had lists and lists of cars and general setups that work. Is there any sites of anything like that I could try out and copy:) ? The game is so technically and I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to set up... I try to change things around and the car ends up handling like a boat. Thanks

not yet that I'm aware of there is a car setup sub forum you might want to check in there. But I'm thinking that it won't be likeep that around here people are going to be really competitive with there good tunes. I know gt planet forum had a bunch in the gt6 forum they may have some compiled by now. Everyone has a different driving style too so what works for you might not work for me. Wheel vs controller may also be a factor on some tunes as well.
