My pc freezes every time I play this game on varying places and I get BSOD, it happens totally randomly and usually approx within max 10mins of playtime.

Any other games I have run without problems and CARS does that aswell apart of these total freezes.

My rig:
i7 4790 4.0ghz
asus z-97 a motherboard
MSI GTX 970 Gaming
8gb 1600mhz memory (I have had a totally different set of memory sticks in and no difference in freezing)
250gb SSD with Win 8.1 pro 64bit
2TB HDD with the game installed on
Xbox wired controller

No previous probems with this setup.

The following info I got extracted:

---------

1: kd> !analyze -v

Hope someone can help cause I have never played a car game this perfect!! If I get this running then Logitech will be a few hundred euros richer with me getting the G27. ;)

All CPU, GPU etc. at factory clock speeds?

Yes, no overclocking or tweaking done whatsoever.

It seems your PC is being stressed well by pcars and you have a driver fault causing BSOD. Not necessarily pcars fault.
If you google the error FAILURE_ID_HASH: {7c95de0c-286c-8226-45c2-422b4de101d6}
Bad drivers. I am not a tech guy hope someone can show you the way

Need your system specs...
Have you recently updated your system drivers?

Please look at the stickies post!

And be sure to CLOSE EVERYTHING on the background while troubleshootign, whatever software you have, Frame Rate display, OSD software, video recording. Etc.

Do you have geforce experience or nvidia shield installed with your gfx drivers?

Which specs do you need?

I agree with the high temp, after rebooting and checking in bios screen it's coming down from 60celcius. I'm currently running on stock cpu cooler but was going to set up a decent upgrade cooler from my previous pc but didn't go very far as I lack a few correct screws for the fitting so I'll have a chance to research that option latest tomorrow after a visit to local hardware retailer.

The GPU drivers are up to date and other drivers for Windows are on regular windows update schedule so I haven't lately been keeping eye on those. Will have to do a checkup on that aswell once I get the whole pc up and running again.

Last it would seem that you are correct in that pcars is not the cause of the fault itself as it now happened in GTA 5 and Far Cry 3 aswell.

Which stickies post are you referring to? I tried to browse them but didn't find any direct solution.

The only extra software that has been on but not every time is a browser window and Norton virus software.

Chipset,LAN/network wireless, soundcard or onboard sound drivers should be obtained from your motherboard manufacturers website.
They don't update these forever once they find stable packages they cease releasing new ones. Unlike gfx card drivers which are regularly updated.
Its worth a shot.
What CPU have got? If its fairly modern they are designed to work much higher than 60oc

Yes, I have the latest on geforce experience.

Disable both, and give it another go

My rig:
i7 4790 4.0ghz
asus z-97 a motherboard
MSI GTX 970 Gaming
8gb 1600mhz memory (I have had a totally different set of memory sticks in and no difference in freezing)
250gb SSD with Win 8.1 pro 64bit
2TB HDD with the game installed on
Xbox wired controller

I swapped the stock cooler to a better one. (more to my own comfort with less fan sound probably ;))

Did this also.

The freezing has gone down to a "acceptable" level now. Before it froze almost guaranteed after 10 minutes, now I can drive a whole season of singleplay without freezing but it still occurs sometimes.

Think the next step is just do a clean install of windows.

Hi Stefamon, do you get anything logged in the Windows Event Viewer at the time of these freezes??

Might indicate something happening in the background that is causing this.
