To keep an good overview for the users and developers over the issues that have been reported.

The idea is to link to threads and posts that describe the issue.

I can pretty much confirm that doing a hard reset on your Xbox One system will install the update. Before hard reset my game file was 18.1GB, after hard reset its now 18.4GB.

On XB1 the game size should be 18.4gb with the patch.

Hey, i noticed that with Formula B, when i crash and lose a wheel, when i go back to pit, the car is fixed, but the weel remain invisible. It's a problem that have been reported on pc i think, but i just wanted to repport it on Xbox as weel, just for you to know it's not plat form specific!

just a note for the workaround on the sound/headset issue - my headset is wireless without the means to plug in a usb lead and therefore any of you guys like myself running old headsets the workaround wont help, really pleased to read the devs are on it tho great work!

for reference mine are TB X41's but other friends have different headsets and are experiencing the same probs so will pass on the workaround to them, good works chaps ;)

Ive not had the invisible tyres yet but just now after leaving the pits at Monza and getting 'manual control' the car just dropped to one side as if the wheels were missing. The wheels were still on but they were sticking through the body work and there was scraping sound fx as if the rims were gone. 15 laps in, I wasnt happy! This was Xbox one by the way

I had this exact same problem about 30 mins ago after leaving the pits in my M1 Procar at Oulton Park.

LOCK to LOCK bug fix... Set steering to the dpad. Yes it becomes a bit more tappy but is much easier to control than the stick until we get an input patch.

another issue i saw on the forum and it seems many people have too with the disc version.
Game is freezing and return to x1 Dashboard.
After many reinstall and hard reset still freezing, impossible to play a race.
I bought another disc version of the game to test and same issue.
Does developers are aware of that issue ?

This morningn i changed to the d-pad for steering and it was a bit better but then started to get the screen hangs and freezing. I truly believe that this will be an awesome racer but at the moment its unplayable for me.

Elmo, just wanted to add that the Workaround for the light FFB does not really work. Getting many conflicting reports with a lot of people still saying the FFB is still light.

I am going to chime in just to say--there are over 7500 views between those two threads, which makes it the most popular un-stickied active xbox topic, almost totals the number for this thread which every visitor has to see... Only the first page has a positive reaction to this "WORKAROUND". The only thing it has done is make the devs WORK AROUND a huge problem that is killing the hardcore user base.

Thanks for the feedback chaps, changed the link and modified the wording a bit. With so much going on it is quite hard for me to keep on top of all things.

Be assured though that even when a 100% workaround exists the devs will still fix the root cause.

I have a Madcatz Pro wheel and cant navigate around the menus as there is no right thumbstick button. I have tried turning on the XB1 controller but if the wheel is on the controller doesn't work.
If they could let both function in conjunction or let me use the direction buttons this would fix the issue?

Online is awful I have mange to get into one race 60 min of trying. Couple of races I can't get into the practice or qualifying session either it's all locked this was every race I went in other than one setup with no qualifying or practice just straight to race. Can someone look into this I saw a thread on ps4 forum similar to being locked out of sessions so it's not just xbox one.

Two other issues I didn't see posted here

1) Playing manual with clutch on controller. After releasing the clutch button ( no matter what its set too, I prefer LB) the car bounces off rev limiter and takes about a second to release the clutch in game, on up shifts only. When looking at the telemetry, after releasing the clutch button, the yellow bar slowly fades. Showing how slow the game is engaging the clutch. when playing manual with no clutch there is no issue shifting up.

2) Circuit de Spa: car hits the left wall right upon exit of the pit.

Right now the steering lock problem is only thing keeping me from playing, other then that I do like this game a lot.

All my friends thrustmaster tx wheel owners and me. Have same problem. FFB is good we config wheel good. But when We push xbox button on wheel or pad or accept invite party. Automatically lost all FFB. If we accept pcars invites no problems.
Only solution we found Unplug & plug USB cable.
Please patch this, a lot of thanks.
PD I didn't read all post but penalty after pitstop is because you hit wall before autopilot on.

During gameplay any force feedback or while braking with the right trigger will make the Official Xbox One stereo headset and official xbox one headset adapter cause all audio to completely cut off until disengaged..

I dont know how many people it affects but i do know that ill be racing and my steering will lock up and throw me face first into a wall. I have googled and found a couple people with this problem. Other than that just the normal controller issues and for some reason my f1 car doesnt just burn out it does doughnuts. Oh and the last one ive found is that walls are very very sticky just tap them and your stuck to them.

This is something ive noticed but not seen mentioned. Sometimes if you return to pit in a session, make a change and go back out, your tyres never get warm/take alot longer to warm up, something ive encountered in Formula b & C

Ny thrustmaster tx loses force feedback when i use the snap feature or go to the dashboard. Then i have to turn it back on and i have to redo the calibration so my wheel isnt stuck at 250 degrees of rotation. Im very frustrated and dont know what to do.

Game froze on loading screen when starting a race after saving the qualifying time and backing out previously. Wouldn't quit looping/loading. Finally shut off the xbox with controller, restarted, game was still looping/loading so I hard shut down the xbox.

Game was happy at this point.

I noticed while setting up the controller that even with the sensitivity set to 0, and the steering dead zone set to 0 as well, that even the slightest turn left or right (parked or at low speed) will turn the wheel all the way to the right or left. Another words if I just move my left thumbstick slightly to the left/right the car wheels actually turn all the way in. I can only use about 20°/. of the stick for full movement of the car wheel pisition. I hope I'm making sence. So I'm training my thumb to use slight movements. I know that the sensitivity is being addressed in the next patch.

I also noticed the sound blending gets weird when a car approaches from behind or when I'm approaching a car. Like the mix is off.

But I love the game and have been waiting a long time for a game like this to come to XBOX. This game, for me anyway, seems to have made Forza just look like an arcade game with detailed cars.

So I was looking in the "Known issues" for xbox thread and found this in the next update "XB1 analogue stick range".

So I have answered my own question. For some reason I can't delete my post lol. Although I haven't seen a post yet about the sounds issue.

Allmost 2 weeks and still no update :mad:

This takes way to long. At this speed it will take 2 years before we have a bug/glitch free game.

And pronouncing a second pjc while the 1st one is still a disaster. Shame on you guys!

I can't even play the carreer anymore because the caterham s*cks in everyway (gearbox bug, brake a little bit and the car spins around)

Don't misunderstand me i love this game but my frustration getting bigger!

So what happens is, I will be in chase cam and the camera will slowly start to rise until it is literally looking down on the very top of the car. The only way to fix it is to flick the right stick and that is a easy fix. The problem is that I have no idea when it is going to happen and when it does happen there is no way to maintain focus or sometimes even stay on the track. I have clips of this happening atleast five times in the past two days.

Ford escort flips at contact in pulk. The physics of the car seems strange too. The wheight of the car is not correct. It feel like 200 kg. Why are a lot of reportet bugs and issues here not listed. For example 2nd best qualify time in clio cup are not counting. So ive got 3 clean laps and start in 2nd race two times from 20nd. Ive got the problem in the single race too. That listet time in the end result of qualify are not counting.

I've had lots of issues with the engine note distorting ... it sometimes sounds like a bit like a bee, sometimes almost a bit "tinny" as well. I can't pinpoint what causes it, but accelerating out of corners seems to be when it occurs most.

I have to add as well - and I hope Elmo & Ian both take note - that forums such as these are not particularly good at keeping track of anything, let alone bugs. Can I suggest that perhaps a public facing bug tracking system is set up (using something like the open source bugzilla) that allows the SMS programmers to update what they are working on, and in turn allows the public to look at what is actually being done. I'd add that it may help greatly reduce the amount of threads asking questions as to what, if anything, is being done to fix certain bugs ...

I searched for this issue I'm having but could not find it. So, sorry if it's elsewhere and I missed it. Maybe point me in the right direction?

Admittedly, not the best handling game with the pad, but the patch was a big improvement. Methinks there's a wheel in my future.

In the meantime, tonight a different problem started. This might be coincidence, but I hit a wall hard in a qualifying section, I had P1 locked up so I just ffwd to the race. I left it paused for a while and watched a flick with the wife (again, probably nothing to do with this)... Flash fwd to the race... Totally messed up. The car drove straight until I tried steering, then it took a severe dive to the left. Re-started and tried different turns, same thing. It felt like my suspension was out of whack from the header I took into the wall in qualifying. Quit game, retry, same. Cold boot, retry, same. Drove a frustrating lap, hit the pit for repairs, retry, same. Uninstalled the game, reinstalled, retried, same. Tried different driver profile, went to different race (the CTR Ruf on Brands was a total bowling ball on a skating rink nightmare)...still the same. I tried everything except smashing the crap out of my controllers (yeah, tried two)... Of course, I tested the controllers on Forza, and no problem there... but wow, did it ever feel dreamy to have precision response - suddenly SIM mode on FM5 seems a lot easier.

Anyway, this is now a known issue for me. And I might seem light hearted now but, believe me, an hour ago I could have written one of those other posts I've been reading for the last week. Cheers.

I have not be able to play this game successfully on Xbox One

- I cannot control cars - my console and controller have been up dated
- When I pull the trigger to brake, the sound cuts out on the controller - both in and out of parties and my mic cuts out too
- I have followed the advice for manually setting the controller, still horrible

This game is undrivable - I wish reviewers reported this gliching, I would not have bought this game.

Don't know if this was mentioned or not but when wearing my Turtle Beach XO Four headset the sound of the game completely cuts out every time I hit the brakes. If I don't wear the headset then the problem goes away. However, I don't have another headset so I can't use chat features.

Completely new to this forum business but i would not do the update, before the update my tx wheel working fine, now it has no steering input on the first 90 degrees of rotation left or right. Massively disappointed in this and hope this is rectified soon, surely a patch is supposed to make things better.

Thanks, that's not a bug, more like a little visual gimmick. The other option would have been just to turn it off completely.

But you never know, maybe proper illuminated flag boards or even marshals waving flags could be added to the game. As stated various times here on the forum, there is much more to come with Project Cars :)

hey i dont know where to write this but when will the full pit stop crews be working on xbox one?
also it seams you can't blow out tyers from running them for way to long or from damage.
also the ai not been so perfect at driving be nice, like the odd crash or out braking a corner, better flags and a safety car for orange flags, blue flag cars when lapping them etc.
also when will the snap oversteer be fixed with the controller and make it so you can drift a bit better like boring forza for example.
when will there be more cars like the v8 supercar series to race at bathurst for example and add some more tracks like Adelaide or more from the v8 supercar series.

thanks for the best driving game so far by the way. only a few things needed to be perfect in my opinion.

I believe this is a known issues and are being addressed in the upcoming patch but I really need to vent my frustration at you guys. This is a beautiful game which I really enjoy alot but the connections are shocking game lagging really bad when people jump in or out of the lobby.
being dashboarded when people leave party or just randomly. Now ordinarilyit wouldn't be such a bad thing just join back in.
But as a streamer on twitch.tv trying to hold an audience this is a massive problem not only do I have to mess about restarting the game but also the stream which takes about 5 mins and cost me veiws and potential followers and resets my stream standing to the bottom of the pile on the twitch.tv servers. This has happened 3 times tonight alone and honestly really p****d me off.

When i start an quick race weekend the time progression has not been saved. Date and time are set om custom. The date is the 13th of june and the time is 21:00 and the time progression is 5x. I start An race on le mans but isn't getting dark..

Is this an known issue or is there An workaround to fix this? At the release of Project Cars i did not have dit problem so i Think the problem has been started after the 1.3 patch.

So since the new update my game has been really laggy... i have absolutely no sense of speed because the speed keeps changing and jumping around, if that makes sense. I genuinely can't get a lap with braking too late or coming into a corner way too fast. This needs to get solved I'm so tired of this game having so many problems, last time i played it before the update it was actually better and i was okay with playing it.

I hope this post will be useful but I will be honest, I put about as much effort into it as SMS did testing pCARS on XBOX1.

I wanted to try and enumerate some of the pit issues me and others have come across since I don't see them specifically on the known issues list.

These issues are experienced during multiplayer sessions. I have not taken the time to try and confirm if they are reproducible in single player mode.

- Pit gives fuel even when no fuel strategy is selected. If you come into a pit, and select a strategy where you want no extra fuel, the game decides to top the car off to its max value.
- Can't edit strategy while in pit. I know this is vague, but its a vague issue. Essentially, it seems if you open a strategy while in pit, any number of issues can happen from getting incorrect fuel, getting incorrect tires, and/or getting incorrect tire pressures.

- Pit strategy UI overly complicated and grossly inconsistent with tuning UI. The first example of this is tire type. In the tuning UI you are able to select tires based on the car. For example the BMW M1 Procar has three options (automatic by weather, slicks, and wets). This selection applies to all 4 tires. Quick, intuitive, useful. By contrast the pit strategy UI inexplicably lets you select the tire type for each tire. Even worse, the tire type options have nothing to do with the car you are driving. In the example of the Procar, is extreme wet the same as wets from the tunning UI? What tire does intermediate give me? Continuing with the head scratching, the tire pressure sliders in the pit strategy wont match the pressure sliders in the tuning UI making it unable to match the values. (I see this with LMP cars.)

Folks are able to delicately work around some of this. If you use pit strategies that give fuel, and you don't edit a strategy then it seems to reliably work. But any deviation from that causes it to fail in one ore more ways.

One more thing, this is more of a feature request but it would be helpful to know what is on your car. Be nice if we could get some information added to the telemetry HUD stating what type of tires are on the car, and what the pressures are at.

The tire pressure fix in 2.0 is still there and will be in the next patch. The issue will still be present after 2.0.

I didn't see anything about the Replay issue listed. Replay's will crash game back to dashboard on Xbox after 2-8 mins. of playback.

FFB on TX wheels is completely lost if snapping ANY app and returning to game.

Current workaround is to power cycle the wheel or quit and relaunch the game.

This appears to be unique to TX/PCarsusers and I've confirmed with many other users and has been noted by other forum members in a few threads.

California highway full, formula a in use, dont know if it affects all cars or not. I keep getting a cut corner/time invalidated message when driving into one of the tunnels, not sure which one but if memory serves its a left hander and i feel its the one with the openings to the right. But in a challenge night where me and a mate were putting alternate races in (single player race by the way, not tested on tt or online), you are not off track, perefect line and blam, cut corner flashes up as you are nailing it. Worse is the fact that it comes up in the middle of the screen and reduces track visiblity while you are driving hard. So penalised for something you didnt do and additionally penalised with a few moments of large text reminding you the game made a mistake. Irritating bugette.

Happened to both of us repeatedly. I dont remember seeing a clear run through it from either of us.

This may have been mentioned before, but I could not find it on a search.

Track: Hockenheim Classic
Car: Lotus 25 Climax
Issue: Brakes damage themselves here (and nowhere else our Classic Lotus league runs, but we have not tested the 25 on many tracks) to the point where the car becomes impossible to drive after 10-15 laps or so due to front brakes being inoperable.
Cause: We all have different setups, use various controllers, and are veterans of SIM racing. We cannot find any cause except one that might be beyond our control. The only thing that we think might possibly cause this is curb hopping, but it seems to be of no issue at other tracks and with other cars. In any case, if this were the cause, why no suspension damage? Are others seeing this? Can this be replicated and fixed?

Issue:
After pit stop on online race the speed limit continues on the track. I could not drive faster than 47 KPH.

Are others seeing this? Can this be replicated and fixed?

Looks like always...today I've tried 3 different lobbies with Renault Megane Trophy V6.

This issue only in the race session, on qualify session worked well!
But...the other issue when I drive into the pit the car always hit the wall at the right side. ( usualy mine is the first pit )

Two of my friends also tried this pit stop...worked them. Seems like just I have this issue.

See the brake temps below as I have all the data from a race we ran there yesterday. The Lotus 25 Climax has no brake ducts settings so that cannot be altered to see if it helps. I have tried reducing the pressure and also moving the bias more rearwards but the problem still occurs. The brakes deteriorate to the tune of around 5-7% per lap.

Brake temps and damage percentage at end of:-
lap 1: 432/436 283/279 (5.1%/5.1% 3.53%/3.14% )
Lap 5: 452/454 308/299 ( 36.08%/34.51% 22.35%/20.78%)
Lap 10: 370/369 256/251 (71.37%/68.63% 43.93%/41.57%)
lap 13: 448/443 280/275 (88.24%/84.71% 53.33%/50.98%)

Pitted and repaired brakes

Lap 14: 367/367 233/231 (3.14%/3.14% 1.96%/1.96%)

Lap 19 Pitted so brakes repaired.

Lap 20: 363/363 230/229 (2.75%/2.75% 1.96%/1.57%)
Lap 25: 418/417 277/275 (38.43%/36.86% 23.14%/21.96%)

Sorry, didn't get that detailed. But Hammer did (last post or near) and it's quite striking. We run in the same Lotus Classic F1 League.

We have had this issue during 2 separate league events at Cadwell. We run mandatory pit stops. First race - Ginnetta GT55 (12 in lobby) 3 people had this issue. Second race was in the Gulfs and 2 people HD this issue. Not quite sure why this happens. I know you can only fit 2 cars in the pits at any one time there but these incidents happened to a single car pitting.

Since Patch 9.0, did anyone have any problems playing online? I tried to play online on saturday, everytime I went into the lobby with other people, I got disconnected after 10 seconds staying in the lobby. I tried multiple lobbies and kept disconnecting. When I created lobby myself it was fine, but not when I go into other peoples' lobby. Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

The Huayra BC redlines at 6100 rpm in the game whereas the RL version does so at 6500. No matter what you do, you just can't touch the redline, let alone go past it. This can't be the case in the RL car, can it? In the standard Huayra, you can go past the redline and go just over 7000 RPM.

The Mustang Fastback, Escort Mk1 and 2016 Ford Fusion car have a right pull bug which usually kicks in once you start to accelerate no matter what gear you're in. It is not a tuning issue. Only these 3 cars exhibit it.

Would also be nice to see moving aero parts in replays.
