I've had a look in the usual places but can't find them.

If you mean the in-game taken with the photo mode, they have done something completely uncomprehensible. Look in your Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user id>\234630\local\project cars\media there you have your images in a .med format which is not readable at all. Completely mind boggling why they have not just used a standard image file format for the photos.

Wow, how silly. I find it hard to understand what could have possibly motivated them to do something like that.

How STUPID man! now I have to take the photo using the ingame camera, view the photo afterwards ingame, and then use Bandicam to take a snapshot, all that just to get a bloody .png file :ambivalence:

My problem is, i take in-game photos.
I wanna view them in MY profile, and its all stretched out, nowhere near my 3440x1440 resolution its more like 5000-6000x1440. Looks retarded

There are at least 2 ways to get screenshots from the game (and both of them on the same key by default)

- screenshot function in Steam Overlay (check your Steam settings, default key is F12)
- the game itself has screenshoting ability on F12 key and the BMP image is saved in Documents\Project CARS\screenshots folder

-Making screenshots with F12 via Steam still shows the photo editing lines.
--I looked for the screenshot folder but somehow i don't have it. While i make screenshots with F12.

I believe there is a button to hide HUD.

It should be there. Look in your "Documents" folder, not the Steam installation folder.

I can confirm that the folder is there, but no photos. Pictures taken with the Steam overlay are indeed working, but there were never an issue with Steam taking screenshots.

Anyone found the button to hide the HUD in photo mode yet?
