AMD just released these... Anyone know If these will work with a laptop? I have a AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series 1GB DDR3.

Thanks!

Hi,

those seem to be beta drivers for only the desktop cards. 7600M and other notebook M series use the AMD Mobility Radeon™ Drivers. You are not missing much though, these beta drivers are only supposed to help with AMD FreeSync users. The Project Cars specific improvements should be coming soon, though.

Cheers!

No point wasting your time anyway. Makes zero difference, so either AMD failed to fix it or this isn't the release. No mention of Pcars in the release notes.

I've given up, I'm buying a 970.

Edit, ordered and be here tomorrow, or if Amazon F' up like normal Tuesday.

I'm with you... I've always been a ATI fan but I will be going with Nvidia my next PC.

Hey Machinaea.. I heard that PCars works better with older AMD drivers.. Do you know what driver number they are? I never delete my passed drivers from my HDD just in case of a prob.

That isn't an updated profile for Project Cars. That driver is only meant for Freesync support. Hopefully AMD gets on the ball though for an updated driver profile to include frame rate performance for Team Red users.

If you want an AMD driver for better performance, try the modded Windows 10 driver http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=398523

Does this driver work with laptops?

I would tread lightly with preview versions of DX12, especially with AMD's beta drivers and unofficial support.

It should be working as long as you are using AMD GPU's with GCN architecture. AKA, those specific later GPU's with DX 11 and 11.1 support. Most AMD GCN GPU's should be ok for this, with the exception of maybe earlier versions of the 6xxx series.

Unfortunately us AMD users will have to wait a little for better performance, but AMD is working on it. I don't know if older drivers would help the case, but you never know. I know the wait can be annoying, but I have confidence that the powers that be will deliver better drivers soon.

Tried that made 1 FPS difference at best.

I would stick with the latest AMD driver versions. 15.4 Beta drivers seem to be the best, but if you want an official WHQL release, then rolling back to 14.12 won't hurt anything as 15.4 beta was only released for FreeSync support. Going back any older in theory shouldn't accomplish anything as drivers have only improved. Specifically anything past the 13.8 drivers with frame pacing support.
