If you're in Portugal you can get Thrustmaster TX for 295€... and "Thrust" me, it's well worth it.

Nope, he has it on right side. Right/right, wrong/left

Just kidding

Yeah the TX wheel is the way forward :) I built a rig to go with it like Benja190782 out of wood from a local hardware store for 15 instead of paying another 250 for a playseat. Haven't bought the manual shifter to go with it but i do recommend the F1 addon steering wheel.

Haha this could be a long debate :)

Although im from the UK (so to me it should be on the left) I prefer the stick being on the right if i have one. Seems easier from experience of driving in the US.

I use the Madcatz racing wheel, its really good. Its different in terms of you get the sensation you are moving a gears, despite this. I love it - well worth the 250

Do you know if there is a big difference between the mad catz and the thrustmaster tx?

I am looking to upgrade my thrustmaster spider (without ffb) to a ffb wheel on xbox one.

Man I have exactly same chair as you and in few weeks Iam going to buy the same wheel. Did you attached pedals to the floor some way, or its not necessarily? I like this shifter too, but its another 130 euros, so it must wait.

I'm interested in the TX myself, I was wondering how have you guys worked around plugging in your headset?

I got the Xbox One headset adapter like on this Picture - and just simply plug it in to the controller, while the controller is connected via USB to the XB1, so it doesn't turn off in a race.

I see, I didn't realise you could have the controller running at the same time as the TX. The headset plugged straight into the fanatec wheel I had. Thanks.

Don't think you need any additional stereo headset thing unless your going to use chat with a turtle beach headset? You can plug a normal control in before you start the game for the chat and then just use the TX wheel as normal. So in essence using two controllers.

Really? The exact same chair - where are you from, mate?
Yes I just made a really fast wood platform, so I could install the 2 bolts into the pedals - it works great. You can't race without the pedals being installed somehow, because the brake pedal is so stiff it will lift the stock platform on the pedals.

As you can see on my Picture I got an exercise mat underneath the pedals - so it sits tight.
I've ordered the T3PA-PRO pedals, but Thrustmaster can't deliver before June/July.
So this is just temporarily...

Actually you can't have the controller running at the same time in-game - IT'S JUST FOR AUDIO - which leads to the next problem in my case - because I can't use my Isotta aftermarket wheel on the TX base like this (it's only possible in FM5 where the controller can actually navigate the menus)

This is my current setup (excuse the floral chair, ex girlfriends mistake.) Need to make a board thing like you have for the pedals, is that just MDF board?

Try having a look around the internet. I just used my own idea for a basic stand but there are designs out there for all the parts you will need.

Seen some pretty rad PVC tubing ones, F1 style seating too!

This one is also pretty cool:

I am looking to upgrade my thrustmaster spider (without ffb) to a ffb wheel on xbox one.

Sorry for late reply, I used to use a Madcatz wheel on the 360 (Non FFB), went to this wheel I use now which has FFB never going back to non FFB. Although, i have used a thrustmaster non FFB wheel, I didn't like the bungie cord sensation i experienced.

It depends what you are looking for, I got the madcatz because it has a GT car style wheel/rim whereas the thrustmaster is somewhat limited (stock), although you can pay for rim changes. I would recommend the wheel but the only way you can find out if you will like it is to try it.

I know its not helpful but I havn't used FFB before so I cannot compare it to anything other than saying (FFB > non FFB) all the way.

I Run Thrustmaster TX wheel, I have the extra GTE and F1 rims, I use my Fanatec Clubsport pedals pluged in via CPX Basher Board, Derek Speare Designs Button Box and G25 Shifter as standalone, that's for both PC and XBOX One minus the shifter. Best reason for F1 rim is more buttons and rotator dials as XB controller and even the normal 458 wheel and GTE rim doesn't have enough to map everthing in PCars
