I have been posting both here and on gtPlanet and the thread here is all over the place with all sorts of comments from PC so I think a dedicated thread is in order.
The Fanatec GT3RS and I belive GT2 wheels have a huge deadzone even when running the latest firmware and powered on in the correct way to operate project cars on PS4.
There are button mapping issues, there are all sorts of FFB questions (a lot of which come from the various available settings) and I am sure a lot of other questions.
DEADZONE -
Settings in game and in wheel zero and zero
This creates a deadzone of 5 to 7 degrees either side of centre.
If settings ingame are increased to get maximum the deadzone increases proportionally (becoming almost a complete revolution of the wheel at maximum)
I therefore assume that there is a coding error relating to the GT3RS v2 and probably the GT2 wheel as this is what the game is seeing the wheel as in the configuration screen. (Incidentally though I suspect more seriously it's seen as a controller rather than a wheel and therefore not able to be calibrated), The scales appear to be out by a factor of 100 or so from the tests run.
can anyone at SMS or Fanatec or their PS4 testers confirm if this is the case and the likely timescale for a re medial fix.
PLEASE READ THE TOP I HEADING - IF YOU ARE RUNNING GT3/2 ON PC THIS DOES NOT CONCERN YOU.
Hoping for some clarity and a single platform response to this issue only.
Leon
Edited to clarify that this is a Fanatec GT2/3RS issue.
