Will be good to include braking line only instead of just full guiding line.

I'd prefer the option of just a braking line as well, at the moment I don't know the tracks or cars very well so no line is not an option for me yet but the full line is too much, slightly distracting.

Agree. Braking line only would be nice.

Me too please, and some track marshalls to clear debris so im not dodging tyres and spoilers in the middle of the track for multiple laps untill some poor soul has hit them out the way.

Something I like in Forza 5

I'm only curious, but have any of you tried using the 200, 100, 50 boards as braking references? I find that 100 is the best place to start braking for most corners. If you have ABS disabled, remember to push the brake hard but then quickly ease off ~15-20% so that you don't lock up the wheels. It's a good technique to practice even with ABS enabled. You want to then come off the brake pedal just as you start to turn the wheel. If 90% of your tyre grip is being used to slow down, you only have 10% of grip left for steering (= understeer).

Hope this helps.

Hey,

Was just wondering if in the near future you could add the possibility to make the driving line 'braking only'?
Now you only have the option for full line or off. I loved it that in Forza you can set it to braking only.

Also prefer braking only instead of the full line!
Easier to spot braking points and learn the track

Yep, would be cool while learning new tracks in practice.

Would also be cool to be able to turn it off from a pause menu, rather than backing all the way out to options...

Would be nice if you could adjust the intensity of the color of the guiding line aswell. It is very fluor now, too colorful. Especially in the dark.

Sorry for the bad English :P

🙏🏾😫You guys don't know how much I need a brake line only on this game. Does anybody feel the same way besides the true sim racer that don't need drive lines. But come on SMS‼️, Im guessing you guys didn't put that option on the game because it's either play the game with it on or off NO in between. 😔😫

Someone has made that sugestion in other thread, Ian said it's a good idea and he would pass to the devs.

I know some people need the brake lines but the tracks have so much visual breaking landmarks, distance signs, even the rubber marks at the track itself. Try brake in the darker spot right before the turn, i think you can get used to it pretty quick. After some races you certanly develop a sense of aproach and speed to the game.

^Great news :) :applause:

I have a question regarding the "race line", when I want to take a picture of my car, the "guiding line" also appears in the photo. Is this how it should be or is a bug?
If this is normal can somebody do something about it :) (the darn line is in my way of taking sweet pictures of racing action) :onthego:

The driving line was one of the first options I turned off , not because I am a good racer but I found myself becoming fixated with it and becoming less aware of what was going on around me . I also began to learn the track a lot quicker noticing the markers , black rubber lines and even things like a piece of machinery on the other side of the crash barrier to use as a reference point to either begin braking or turning in point . I know some people prefer a line to "learn" a track but the sooner you turn it off the quicker you will "know" the track . Try it as soon as you can , once you do trust me you will never go back . One thing though , when driving at night protect your headlights lol.

It's a good idea, I'm for it. Helps with learning the tracks breaking points. The only problem with trying to use course markers and braking dark spots on the track is that at night dark spots are nearly impossible to see or the markers have been knocked down or run over by AI running off course. I don't use corner arrows or the track map options. Nonetheless, overall I'm satisfied with the presentation so far!
