cant race wheel to wheel online?

iv had it a few times while playing with friends where on my screen i overtake them cleanly but on theres i hit them off even though i was no where near touching them on my screen... anyone else had this issue

It's called lag. Nothing wrong with the game, it's entirely dependent on your own internet connection speed.

Softy94 - You need to think of the internet as a big water pipe made of many pieces of different diameters. Doesn't matter how big your pipe is, the water will only flow as fast as it can through the smallest piece in the connection.

So both ends can be blazing fast, but if routed through a slow point, thats how fast you will go.
