Hi Project Cars fans.

I'm fighting with my Formula A car setup @Monza, right now i'm 16th at the leaderboard. But when using ghost cars from better players, I can see that i'm missing top speed and some acceleration, have been trying back and forward to change the setup, but can't get the same top speed.

201906

I have attach my setup below, feel free to comment any input will be appreciated and please share your setup to help me and other players thanks.

I'm No.2 on the PS4 leaderboard at the moment, I have final drive at 6.80 and 7th gear set taller at 1.00. Also have diff acc and decel lock a lot lower around 20%.

Are you using DRS and KERS? those will boost both accel and top end, go 50% on your radiator you dont need it open on a high speed track
Im #9 on Monza atm only did 5-6 benchmark laps

yes i cant speak for hte last two being definite improvements & it might depend on the driver/controller but for monza youre going to want to stretch the gears as long as possible, very low downforce, thats just basic stuff you definitely want to do, be sure to use DRS on all the long sections

Is there even any penalty on radiator and brake ducts on TT? I've closed them to 0% and they seem fine.

I dont believe so, theres no damage on my screen for tt so I guess you can get away with running 1 litre of fuel close everything etc

Ok, got the No.1 spot on Mona now @ 1.21.542, I believe there is more improvement to be made though and wouldn't be suprised if the times get into the 1.20.xxx's.

Heres the setup (credit to NVIOUS for the base setup for catalunya which I tweaked for monza)

Whoa Cyberfun no downforce? I can't drive the FA's like that at all.

My setup isn't much different - I'm getting 1:25s with softer front suspension and less camber.

Think my line may be wrong. Some of the guys are doing 1:20 flat and I'm wondering where I can find a few tenths lol

Been going soft suspension because the curbs at Monza really knock the car around.

It can be very difficult to control the car when having the downforce settings at 0, right now my lap time is 1.22.808 (with downforce 0). I have changed it now to 2 on both front and rear, to gain more control without losing the speed.
But I also needed to change Accel/decel lock from the setup that TheLethalDose provided, so right now i'm driving with 33%/35%. ( might change this back)

I have no problems following the person driving @1.20.x, but because of human errors, i'm losing time at corner 7 and 8-10, mostly because i'm adding too must throttle at the exit.

But hopefully I will have the time this weekend to kick some ass :)

Good luck!
I ended up changing my diff decel to 30% and accel to 20% as it was a bit too low originally and I was losing control into the chicanes. Might try lowering the downforce as per your settings mate and give it a whirl.

You can lower more read ride, making it more sticking to ground.

Also the key setup would also be the fast bump stop/rebound, in the last 4 turn if you take the kerbs and dial in with good rebound you can gain lots of time.

So this track has cut corners, chicanes and tricky kerb.

First the stopping power = break pressure / threshold breaking brake bias to front for chicanes.
Then easy turn in, and out = negative camber and open toe in and you want traction on exit, leave about neutral toe at the rear, you want to have as much accel lock (differential) as you can for a jet propulsion.
Them comes the kerb, bumps. Soften the fast bump stop/rebound balanced specially more front a bit with proper ride height to take the most out of that last 4 corners.

Then the ratio well you know it.
