Just wondering if anyone can recommend a steering setup on the controller that isn't twitchy, I'm constantly having to adjust the line through corners because it over steers so easily, I want it to feel like Forza where you can sweep through turns smoothly, I have the steering sensitivity set to 0 but it still feels too lively for me.

You do know about the bug?

Well use mode 3 as a starting point.
And its also about driving right cars.

Have you tried a higher control filtering setting? It should help smooth things out a bit. Beware, very high settings can introduce input lag.

Also, what cars are you driving?

So far I've driven the Ginetta G40 Junior which wasn't too bad, the Sierra RS500 which was uncontrollable, and a couple of LMP1 cars which are the worst.

I've been having similar problems on certain cars, but I can definitely recommend the Formula Gulf 1000, I've found it to be most consistent car I've tried so far.

Patch out imminently so hold tight for that then you should have full range with the XB1 controller.

I find for more normal cars that mode 1 works best. Think I have the settings I tried for those cars. I haven't used the LMP1 stuff yet.

So, for touring cars try this...

Mode 1

Steering Dead Zone - 35-48 ( no clue what it is like with 0 DZ)
Steering Sensitivity - 0
Speed Sensitivity - 60-65
Control Filtering - 60-65
Steering Dampner(need advanced turned on for this) - On.
* I had the other 2 advanced options off*

Obviously you might need to play with them a bit to get them more to your liking.

Try driving one of the GT3 cars, I bet you'll have a different experience. Off the top of my head there's an Audi R8, BMW M3, McLaren MP4-12C all in the GT3 class.

Check the stickied thread about controller setup and as others have said, there is a patch which is undergoing testing that should improve the controller.

I'm using these settings:-

mode 2
steering 15 0
throttle 0 0
brake 0 20
clutch 100 100
speed sens 65
controller filtering 55
force feedback 60
Soft steering dampening on
visual wheel filtering off
opposite lock help off

Cockpit camera 70

I'm doing fine with no assists, but with road cars (they seem to be the twitchiest) i'm setting the steering rack to slowest as well.

You may need to set your steering dead zone higher if your left thumbstick is more worn than mine.

Anyone know the best steering wheel out there for PS4? :triumphant:
