Hey guys
I've been looking into how a league would post results and have live timing from the events.
So just wonder if anyone has looked into this yet?

PC with shared memory should be possible for live timing using the API. Consoles definitely no live timing as there's no shared memory/API. Live streaming was discussed during development but right now there's no functionality to spectate a race as a "spectator" would occupy a grid slot (and AFAIK isn't possible to "Retire to Pit Box/Garage" in a race anyway so even then spectating isn't really possible right now).

Might come properly in a future update.

Sounds good, i will see if i can get "my" C++ guy to have a look - would be kinda nice to have the same as we have for rF2 :)

It may be possible to spectate by getting DQ'd or wrecking the car, but I don't know how consistently that works.

Well broadcast is not what we need right now - live timing and results are more important.

Top stuff, fastest lap info for races is good as the game itself doesn't even list that in event results yet. Good work.

I'm quite frustrated that the consoles are such a closed platform, this kind of information would be killer for people running leagues on the console versions. I love that the API stuff exists on PC but hate that Sony and Microsoft don't allow anything similar unless you have wads of cash.

Thank's for feedback.

I think I am ready for the moment and want to make a last test.
Want to be sure that all functions I put in will work before I started to add new ideas.

At the moment the "live timing" page looks like this:

Page and content updates every 10 seconds.
The results showed on the page are from last test to show as example in offline state.

For the last test I need to try every seesion to be sure it works on all.

Practice 1 = 15 Minutes
Practice 2 = 15 Minutes
Qualy = 15 Minutes
Warum Up = 2 Laps
Race = 5 Laps

Ok this will be the sessions for today, 15 minutes are minimun.
Doing so I have time to fix some issues while server running....If there is one.

Later today I will post the Server name here.
Test will take place at 8 o clock german time.

During the day I will realease new version 0.5 with these fixes and also with new function to create local results table.

This would not work for Xbox or Playstation though? Does it not rely on the dedicated server through Steam?

I am not sure but I think there is no Dedicated Server for Consoles.
It should be MS and Sony that will (or not) allow that.
For this game I think this is not the case. There are only a few first party games with DS for consoles.

And yes, as you can read on the first few sentences in the tool thread it uses the dedicated serve APP from steam.
I did not make my own DS Software ;)
