View Full Version : Career progression question...

When I started career mode I chose to skip karts and start at the next tier, so why am I constantly forced to race karts throught the career? I don't enjoy the Karts and there seems to be no way of skipping them without keep simulating to to end of session, and even then to skip the actual races you have to start the race and retire to put box.

I thought by starting at a tier that seemed to aimed at Formula Rookie that id be doing a lot more Formula Rookie races, instead all I seem to do is race karts and Ford Escort 1600's.

Am I missing something here? Do I need to be finishing on the podium every race to get the progression going?

Also while on the subject of career, the freaking AI need to learn where the brakes are, if I have to slow down a little because there are slower cars in front of me I dont need to be constantly rammed in the rear by over aggressive AI. Yet if I turn them down a bit I just win all the races. The slider needs to speed up or slow down or speed up their lap times and their aggressiveness really needs looking at.

You're not forced to do anything...you can skip any event you want. As you progress and win more races you will be invited to more events, but you don't have to enter them if you don't want to.

So how do I skip events?

On PS4 I believe you press triangle to skip to the next event. On the right side of the calendar screen there is a box at the bottom that shows the event after the one currently highlighted, press the button indicated in that box.

If you enter the first race in an invitation you cannot skip the remaining races in a series. Just ignore the invite next time by moving past the initial race on the calendar to the next available event.
