For the "new comers"

Simply extract the mother house, but all is said...

BIG THX to lollygag

Ctrl+F - 'Free Cam', world relative does not work currently

The car relative 'Attached Free Cam' works, Ctrl+K puts you in Camera Mode, then Ctrl+K a second time puts you in free cam thats movement is relative to your car and all the normal free cam controls are available:

Left mouse button + mouse movement: change camera direction
D: right
A: left
W: forward
S: backward
Y/H: camera up/down
Q/E: camera movement speed
Z/C: roll camera left/right
CTRL + M: mouse smoothing on/off
NumPad 0: mouse speed scaling

in addidtion to

Numpad 2: increase pitch
Numpad 8: decrease pitch
Numpad 4: increase yaw
Numpad 6: decrease yaw
Numpad 7: increase radius
Numpad 9: decrease radius
Numpad 1: increase roll
Numpad 3: decrease roll
Numpad -: increase FOV/focal length
Numpad +: decrease FOVfocal length

SHIFT key in combination with any of the above: slow down camera movement
Numpad 5: reset to original settings for current camera

You can use the movement keys to go out as far as you want but the camera will stay attached to the car.

Regards

Are the alternatives to the F keys (used for focusing) in the full game or no?

Thank you for all of this info! But, where do the shots go and how do i get them out of Pcars? I have tried to take a couple shots a few times but I can never find them. I tried looking in game and I found where i thought they should be (i forget where i was) and the folder was empty. The only way I have been able to get screens in game is with F12...

Thanks in advance for any help.

None of this works for me in photomode, is it supposed to? It works if I'm sat in the car (not much use), and the car model goes weird.

This is a Radical....

Did you use the cockpit view of the car?
If yes try in the outside view then you should see the right model.

Is this all from pre-release or is it still working with the final version? I have been fiddling around quite alot already, but am still unhappy with the free cam shortcuts. Mouse mode makes me get lost all the time, I often run into the tarmac watching my car from underneath. Doesnīt work very well for me. My failure?

I have seen so many screenshots now that made me wonder how they took them. So many action scenes but I canīt believe they have been taken while racing. Is there any free cam for replay mode?

Can anybody please advise? I would really love to move over the track watching out for interesting scenes but seems like I am far too stupid. Thank you for helping.

Tried again today a few mins. Pressing STRG + K once and using all the different keys gives me some better results than pressing it twice and using the mouse. Maybe I need some more practice. Still wondering how some people made their shots from replay...

Can I get rid of interface in a photo mode?

maybe with F12 ?

Surprise surprise! :triumphant:

Well, thatīs what I do most of the time. Maybe I didnīt put my question right or precise enough, sorry for that. I sometimes wonder how they pick exactly the right moment (eg a jump with all four wheels in the air) and then also have the perfect viewing point. Maybe that was improved with the modified photo mode, that has been inserted to the replay mode. I should practice more often. :-) But some shots really look like they had a free cam in replay mode as well.

Of course:
* Go to replay,
* turn off interface (Ctrl+K will get you to photo mode when interface is up)
* Ctrl_K one of two times (for mouse control)
* get rid of the fisheye:) - 1st thing I'm doing
* enjoy the mostly free cam.
Bad thing - no photo filters.

Sounds great! Will give it a try next weekend. Thank you flymar.

I cant get this to work :(

Just follow flymarīs manual step by step. Works great. I paused the replay, clicked on the "eye" symbol to remove the display and then pressed Ctrl + K.
