First time in years i have bothered to buy a driving sim as well as steering wheel.

I recently bought 1 wheel but it was too small, i took that back yesterday after an hour.

Today i bought Thrustmasters Ferrari 458 but that had drivers issues and would not work at all so now thats going back.

I want something less or around GBP 100 / EUR 140 as im not sure i'll be an avid Project cars driver.

Suggestions and advice needed!

Cheers

The Logitech Driving Force GT sounds to fit your needs and budget :)

It's a little over 100 but it's a superb wheel that I can reccomend, I got mine to go with Gran Turismo 5 and have had no problems with it :)

You can't use the DFGT with a console though, only PC.

i drive now my 4th
1) thrustmaster ferrari f430:
+ strong force
+ finish/metarial
+ price
- steering angle
- forcefeedback fineness
2) logitech driving force gt
+ price
+ steering angle
+ forcefeedback fineness
- forcefeedback strength
3) logitech G27
+ very fine for normal user
- price
4) now fanatec SCWV2
its the nonplus ultra, but ultra expensive

here is the list with supported wheels:

i don't know how long you will drive per day, i would buy the G27, if you drive one or 2 hours per week without expectation to win everytime, then maybe the logitech GT.

Edit: my G27 is for sale ;)

If you can afford it, the Thrustmaster T300 RS is definitely a great bang for the buck option. The downside to the T300 is that there is no clutch pedal or shifter, but you can update/purchase those later if you find the need.

You also may be able to find a used G25 or G27 which will be good a well. You can cheaply mode the G25/G27 pedals for better feel as well. I have been using G25's since they were introduced, but I'm getting ready to move to a T300 (with a different set of pedals).

How would you guys rate the thrustmaster TX? I think it works on both Xbox one and PC

You had problems installing the firmware update on your TX? Interesting. I love my Thrustmaster TX. The TX works on Xbox & PC.

The thing I hate about the TX is the plastic pedals that it came with. How did you get the clutch pedal? I'm thinking about getting the fanatec clubsport v2 pedals to replace the plastic thrustmaster ones.

Currently Thrustmaster T300 RS is the best wheel on market. But if it is your first wheel, you shouldn't buy that, you won't need it. Buy a T100, or if you have a lot of money, a Logitech G27. Actually the second one would be better because it is good for an entry-level wheel, but you can learn to use it as a pro and you won't have to spend the money on the expensive T300 RS.

You dont think the clubsport v2 is better than the t300 rs?
