Hi all,

Can anyone explain how I could workout from the stats in the game the BHP@RPM value for any car? I'm surprised that this isn't given as it's in nearly every racing game I've played...

All we get is a BHP and a Torque value.

Regards :)

Find a straight with the car and look at the telemetry?

Not that practical as it varies between gears, I was hoping you could calculate it by using the BHP and the ft-lbs value??

The reason I ask is, I've always used the bhp @rpm value to change gears at, as normally going above the rpm value, you have power drop off and you lose bhp

You need a dyno graph to see the torque and power curves before deciding shift points if you are going to go that route. Just knowing when the peak power happens is not enough information to dictate when you should shift.

Also, power should happen at the same RPM, no matter the gear, and PCars follows this as far as I've seen. The only time that doesn't happen is with high boost turbo cars where the 1st, and sometimes 2nd, spins too easily and the car doesn't generate enough load to produce enough boost to see the true power number
