Maybe you should simply write what kind of tire I can choose instead of the tire name.
I know the difference between soft, medium, intermediate and so on. But I don't know the difference between Pirelli p zero, Pirelli p zero Corsa, summer, summer xtreme and so on.

It's kinda hard doing a setup if I don't know which sort of tire I'm using...

Good point! We could do with information about the tyre versions. Maybe something for a Project Cars FAQ or Wiki, if not inside the game itself?

Agree with OP. Also, why do the tires selected always reset to the automatic by weather option? Sometimes the automatic option makes terrible decisions, particularly with road cars where it always seems to pick the slowest tire available.

There's another issue too with selecting your tires when you are pitting. You are always given the option for hard/medium/soft/supersoft, which is completely different from the names of the tires available in the car setup screen. Some consistency here would be great to allow me to know what tires I'm choosing.

Very well said. Very shocking I have been accustomed to Formula 1 style where wheels are named clearly: super soft, soft, medium, hard, intermediate and wet.

I'm sure the Pirelli tires are based of their real life counterparts. So in terms of hardcore track grip the P zero is less than the corsa, and the trofeo is their fastest tire.

We're looking at changing the pit startegy to show the actual names you see in the setup screen for tire choices for that car when you pit. Agree that whats there is not great, and only partly usefull for full racecars.

As per Jim Morrison, there's no time to wallow in the mire.;)

Hi Doug,

Sorry to somewhat hijack your response - but would you be the right person for input/response to the below post - linked to tyres and strategy etc.? Grateful if you could take a look...
