OLD POST:

I created a small PDF (4 MB) of all tracks for reference. (more pages, less size!)

All new as of 25.7.2015. Brand new New Zealand tracks included

Thought this might be helpful for some people. Comments welcome 8)

I hope I didn't infringe some DRM or trigger some legal action.

Nice job. But IMO the better would be black/white like below. Or even smaller to print and stick to the wheel:) TBH I don't know what's the use for it but I saw it in some race footage.

Very nice!!!!

I think the Brands Hatch labels are the wrong way round though.

Thanks. Do you mean the direction of the counterclockwise circled arrow ? I chose it as a symbol for "circuit" vs. "point to point". It's not related to the real driving direction.

Anyways, that would be a nice idea. I'll check that.

No sorry, you have named the GP layout as Indy and vice versa.

Just think of all the racing time you've lost while doing this. :eek-new:

I admire your dedication.
I'm sure plenty of people will find it useful.

TBH I don't know why the track layout doesn't show up in game when you scroll through the tracks. I know the layouts are actually there but why on earth do we have to click to another menu/page to see them. Having them right there as you select a track would be very very handy.

I know that when we are at the track we always have a picture of the layout. I race karts and we stick one on the side of the gas tank, no i cant see it while racing but if I come into pits and my guys say, hey your losing speed in the corner because your braking early they can point at corner and gives you a better visual. I think its alot of the same for car drivers. Yea they have the layout memorized but when you in the zone and the engineer says debris in corner 7 you can just look real quick and get your bearings.

In this game or other racing sims, I print these out and have on my clip board next to wheel. I write the the gear for each corner and other notes like (let off at 100 meter, punch brake at 50 meter and turn in, stay tight to inside, back on gas before apex). I also have how many laps on x amount of fuel, if a pit stop is mandatory. I put the starting tires on it so If i have to change compounds I remember correctly what to put on. I'm starting to put TC notes as i have it mapped to wheel and adjust on the fly. Ill put what laps I need to pit based off strategies for different situations. I also have all my starting tune notes listed or at least the ones I can change easy when Im pitting. Tire pressures and so on. The game inside the game. I love racing!

You can find most black and white maps on Wikipedia or Willl Pittenger's (The guy who makes most of them) website (http://wlps-ge-stuff.ucoz.com/photo/?page3). If you can't find a certain circuit or you want a map with a certain layout in black you can contact me and I'd probably be nice enough to provide you with one because I have all of them except for the fictional kart tracks(I'd post them here but I can't upload the zip files for whatever reason...)

Here is a black and white for Sakitto GP Layout, I'm assuming most people don't have it.204518

Hi Menidi,

grab the new version (>= 2.0), get an PDF Editor and annotate roughly the corners you'd like to have 'named'. Send me the pdf and I will put the annotated corner names into the source. 8)

help is always welcome)

Hmm... is there a list of names of these tracks ? The current list of tracks is constructed out of the racing tracks when selecting single player.

I'll see what I can find out.
