View Full Version : Is this specific issue being fixed in the upcoming patch?

This is my biggest problem with the game so far. Happens far too often and I know things are being worked on, but is this specific thing one of those issues? If it happened rarely that would be one thing, but I get it a LOT.

Problem starts at 14 seconds...

Ohhhh never seen that one, or heard it should I say.
Firstly have you got your controller wired, ie plugged in, if not try it and see if it repeats itself.
Otherwise I'm afraid I'm stumped, sorry.

I use a TX Wheel.
Also the game is installed on an almost empty external 7200rpm HD.

Have tried all the unplugging, restarting, etc. Still have the problem.

This looks like the known audio issue where the sounds echoes for about 5 seconds, I get it as well. Not sure if it will be fixed in the next patch but likely will be in future patches.

Yes this is exactly the same for me. Pretty annoying.

Have you tried turning force feedback to 0 (vibration) to see if it clears it up ? As having the vibration (listed as force feedback) on causes a few audio issues

I've got the same thing. I'm also on a TX 458

Have the same issue. Happens all the time. FFB to zero has no effect.

Same issue. Seems to happen when I shift mostly.

Before the last patch my audio would cut out completely when ever I hit the brakes, I use turtlebeach X04 headset. I switched to just a stereo headset (no mic) plugged into TV and audio was fine after that, though occaisanlly still get echo and stuttering like in the video

I believe the cutout was an issue related to FFB that was fixed last patch. The"garbled audio" issue still hasn't been confirmed or acknowledged by devs that I've seen. I could certainly be mistaken but it would be nice to get it fixed. I've kinda just started getting used to it but it's often accompanied by a FPS drop so it's a touch bothersome.

This happens to me often as well, also using a 7200HDD and TX. Happens usually when Im braking I believe. and Usually does happen when Stig jumps on the radio.

That is definitely one of the known issues and if I'm not mistaken is related to the force feedback. Supposed to be resolved in 1.4

Force feedback issue was resolved in patch 1.3. It involved sound cutting out when FFB kicked in and is unrelated to this problem. Nothing is mentioned about this problem for patch 1.4.

I know, though I thought Ian mentioned something about further fixes in 1.4

Perhaps he did and it just isn't in patch notes. 1.4 has supposedly already been released for testing and console release so hopefully we'll find out in a week or so.

I have the same problem also since day one although it seems to be worse since the 1.3 patch (could be my imagination though). It comes and goes and doesn't seem to matter how many cars or what weather conditions.

Ian said it should be fixed in patch 1.4 because of further tweaking of various things they believe was causing it. If it's not fixed, it will be a priority to them.

Good that its added to the known list however its not just the pit engineer. It happens all the time its just more noticable when it results in garbled speech. If it was just the engineer I'd never hear it since ole stigy went awol a long time ago.

Definitely still happening after the patch.

Hey OneBadHuskerFan, been a long time! Miss those days racing against you at XBLRacing on MotoGP. I was under the tag Discretion way back then.

I have this same issue. My setup includes optical to my Astro A50 headset receiver, then optical to a sound bar. This usually happens when I am accelerating out of a turn. My roommate never gets this issue on his Xbox. It appears that patch 1.4 did not help this issue.

Has anyone found any recent relevant information to this issue?

I don't think it has anything to do with extra hardware. I use standard XBox One and LED TV and at least once a race the sound goes wonky. Just another problem with the game.

I get this problem all the time. I really hope it's addressed either in the 2.0 or 2.1 patch!

That sound issue has been present in my game since day 1. I've reported it in a couple other threads. Funny there are still people that have never heard of it. Must just be on the XB

This happens at least once a race. Also using the TX wheel.

+1 to the pile. i have 3 friends who regularly play together on XBL and we hear it all the damn time, but not necessarily at the same time when we're playing together. every one of us suffers from it, and we all have different controller/audio setups. the only constant is that we all have the digital version of the game.

that's really my biggest gripe with the whole game right now. it really kills any sense of immersion.

.

I am disc based and have the same problem (with wheel and gamepad) - so i think there is no constant at all :)

Same here, problem been there since day one. Happens every race and mostly when accelerating out a bend. Happens with or without pit engineer. I too have the TX wheel but also happens with controller. Game is installed on usb 3.0 external hard drive. This is the biggest bug for me at the moment.

Happens for me multiple times per race. Hate it because it's very distracting. Especially when my pit engineer is talking and it stretches out

Hey all, OP here for this thread. Any chance of this getting fixed? It's still there in patch 3.0. After all it has been 4 months since I posted this. Would like to be able to play the game again at some point.

Yeah, you'd have thought that Microsoft would have fixed it by now.

I've had that since the games been out. Had it with controller, 458 spider and TX. I assumed this was the audio bug everyone meant?! New depths!! Wonderful to see.
