I was blown away when I noticed the attention to detail here. Everything works exactly how it should. Amazing...

Snetterton 300, 1:51:006 with assists set to real - not my fastest lap, but respectable enough.

How do you get that angle?

This is a replay from PS4, using the chase camera with FOV set to 60 - push the right stick forward for an overhead view, then rotate (and hold) for this angle.

Great another feature I'm missing out on. I use a wheel.

You're not missing out. Connect your dualshock for the replays and you can bugger about with the camera until your heart's content.

I have to disconnect the wheel then connect the controller. it's too bothersome especially with the wheel going psycho when it looses sync.

Man, that's one stunning game. I wish someone could do that in real time, on consoles. It would revolutionise the genre.

Look at it compressing gently, with speed, due to downforce. Lovely.

It is indeed lovely. The Atom is a personal favourite just now. I've never seen car modelling this granular in a 'game' and it has blown me away - I'm not just driving a bunch of polygons, I'm driving a real, working model. It takes immersion to a whole new level.
