Guys I've been trying multiple cars from road up to LMP1 on a mixture of tracks to come up with the best settings, all cars tried I left at default tuning.

Ok guy's if you want to set up your XB1 controller to really now enjoy the game here's your settings.

Flick to mode 2 then back to mode 3 just to reset default, now set feedback to 80 and steering deadzone to 10, that's it job done.

Mode 3

Feedback 80

Steering deadzone 10.

Hope the above saves a lot of you messing around with you settings continuously

Enjoy.

After reading through all this I thought I had better check my wheel. I am a pad user but got a wheel last week, been on the pad all morning and dam!, what a difference!. But as for my wheel, I have changed nothing from yesterday when I last tried it and #i have gone and put a better lap in on Brno than Ive done to date.

Well, i can now say this. THE CONTROLLER IS FIXED AND WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD. But now i have to relearn how to drive since i had gotten used to the jerryrigged settings before. I am seeing a lot of walls. LOL. But thats a good thing.

I whole heartedly disagree.

At the very least, you need to turn steering sensitivity way down.

I don't think there will be 1 size fits all tbh :). This game will benefit from peoples own particular driving styles and has tons you can customize and adjust.

wraithsrike is saying leave everything else default/untouched.

I'm going to try the default first as suggested then start making adjustments. I like my steering deadzone at 0.

Stick keeps pulling to the left after patch 1.3, just to warn controller users with the same issue.

I didn't see this, i tried to pull my car in every direction and the d'pad response occurred in an ok way.

My only disappointment is the car in low speeds, the control is still loose.

If youre using d'pad to steering you won't have this problem because it is 0 or 1.

My problem is with the left stick.

Control is about personal preference so not sure why people post messages telling others to change to certain settings just because it felt right for them.

Perfect for me also, now it is more a matter of taste which settings you personally like, have I all deadzones at 5 and the Steering Sensibility at 0, trying now just tuning in 'Speed Sensitivity "and" Controller Filter Sensitivity "at my taste, feels really great at 70-55, but I'll fine-adjust more, is there anyone who found a good combination that you are happy with ?

This is happening to me too. I didn't have this problem until the patch. :(

Edit: I have already played with three different cars and the one with the problem until now is the Ford Escort Mk1 RS1600.

Thank you for posting this. I was tearing my hair out with the Lotus 98T at Sakitto and felt the XBox One Controller issue was not fixed.

I had to modify your settings (just the steering sensitivity) and took only one lap to knock 2s off my previous best lap at Sakitto. Could probably knock off another 2s just by pushing it with no further changes to the car setup.

I modified:

Steering Sensitivity to 0

In the car setup for the 98T I have steering speed at 1.20.5

Now I feel I have something to work with in the car setup itself, for each circuit. Sakitto in the 98T is probably one of the toughest tests for the controller.

This settings works best for me, almost "Forza like"

Modified Controller Input Mode = 3
All Deadzone = 5
Steering Sensitivity = 0
Controller Filtering Sensitivity = 55

I've settled on these for now, seem quite different to most so if anyone gives it a try post your thoughts. Main thing with mine is it's quite sensitive as I hate when the car feels dull and unresponsive. I come from FM5 so probably something similar to that now.. I'm running GT3 class at the minute I should add more tweaks might be needed when I switch cars.

Steering deadzone 10
Steering sensitivity 25
Throttle deadzone 0
Throttle sensitivity 0
Brake deadzone 0
Brake sensitivity 100

Speed sensitivity 50
Controller filtering 0
Force feedback 100

Mode 3 with the soft dampening etc off.

Haha they seem to work for me if its a bit too jerky just raise the speed sensitivity in 5% increments or drop the steering sensitivity by 5-10%.

I'm not getting much FFB at least not as much as I want that's why that's so high.

Controller filtering sensitivity will help if you are having issues where the inputs on the stick are registering too quickly or too great I find 40 a nice number.

Took your settings OP and made stick dz 15 while steering sensitivity at 0 and personally it feels similar to Forza. I'm an oaf jabbing at the left stick like a caveman whilst I race but it works for me. :triumphant:

Since the patch, I've found that the speed sensitivity is the thing that makes the most difference for me. With this set at 50, the car is able to turn smoothly. I can make small steering movements, without the rear end of the car feeling like its about to say hello to the front.

Is there a slider, that will do the same effect that speed sensitivity does for the steering, but for the accelerator?

I have throttle sensitivity at 0, but i'd like it even less sensitive.

SchnauzahPowah
30-05-2015, 17:52
Throttle DZ all the way down (pretty sure theres a throttle dz... may be wrong)?

AdM1
30-05-2015, 18:08
With the steering sensitivity as mines quite high a few times I find it can be too fast and even too slow with certain cars. The trick here is to use the steering ratio in tuning for that particular car. Higher ratio for a slower steering sensitivity and low ratio for faster steering sensitivity.
