I tought I open this thread, as I am really curious what cars are you guys finding to be a lot of fun to drive / race.
So maybe I could try them out, and maybe we can also help some people find some great cars.

I'll start with some, I played:

250cc Superkart - Its basicly a mini F1 car, that is a blast to drive, much more fun then the 125cc Kart, or the F1 cars. :)

Formula Rookie - Nice and forgiving car, altough could use a 5th gear, lots of fun for me.

BAC Mono - If you like to slide your car in the corners, you should try this one, its really forgiving, and goes sideways easily. The balance o the car is great.

Palmer Jaguar - That was an eye opener for me yesterday, I tought it is a rather dull car, but not at all. Its an amazing car (and very loud).

Ginetta G40 Junior - Also a very fun car to drive, really forgiving, but can sometimes cause a spin, if you force it into the tight corners.

So far these are my top 5 cars. (and I did not try a lot of them yet).

And youknow what is the most fun of them all?! Each car is so different to drive. I love it.

Formula Rookie, Formula C, BMW GT3, Ruf those are the ones I tend to stick to.

The Merc DTM has the best poise, balance and G25 FFB for me, try it through the the Craner curves at Donington, just on the edge enough you know you are in control but one false move and it will bite you. Always loved it even before the Seta tire model and with the Asano badge, the chassis had something different to the other cars.

Is that the old DTM car (Gr.A), or the new one?

The Group 5 cars, the Clio and the Ginetta G40 :)
I think you can have cleaner and closer races with the slower cars.

I like the GULF 1000 for learning tracks, quick car, very stable and high speed and brakes brilliant. I normally drive GT3 and these are about the same pace. Great cars

Yeah the Ginetta is a good tool. Goup 5 too.

I totally agree there with you.

Very good selection, NemethR! I would add the Caterham Superlight R500. Another over-powered handful that is cracking when you are "in the zone". Agree too, Pink_650S, about the Clio Cup - absolutely superb for close racing.

The Zakspeed Capri is great fun and absolutely mental

I agree with the op, Palmer Jag and the G40 I find myself accidentally doing 20 or 30 laps at a time when I intend for just a quickie to test something.

Evo with stiff rear springs and hard tyres. Drifts effortlessly. I did a lap of Oulton Park sideways just half a second slower than with a proper racing setup.

All cars are fun to drive once you learn how to control them :)

Not for me, for example the 125cc Kart is not fun for me, and I totally hate the Formula A car also, or the McLaren F1.

Haha! :D I might be the only one but I actually like the Escort! ;) Sliding it round Silverstone is kind of satisfying.

I'm nominating you for a full psychological evaluation without delay - you are clearly mad! Hehehe.

One day I'll get back in it and give it another stab. For now though that thing gives me cold sweats.

Lotus 98T on full boost

That horrific anxiety in anticipation of the turbo to wake up, like waiting for the scary little girl to pop up at your nose while playing FEAR... or walking around your house being so sure someone uninvited is inside with you...

Don't know about you guys, but imo, there isn't a single crap car in this game. Unlike some other Great Titles that have hundreds of cars to choose from.

Lotus 78, formula c and formula a, and the car that has surprised me and is boat loads of fun. BMW 320 turbo.

Agreed! It's a beast. Managing the turbo lag is actually really fun. Timing your gear changes properly is crucial. There are times when you can really open the throttle let it rip, and then there are times when you need to short-shift and keep the power under control. The car feels alive in that sense.

TBH the most fun I'm having is in the slower cars like the Caterham Classic and the Escort. Making them dance around Oulton Park is becoming a bit of an obsession.

All the old Cosworth open wheel, the Atom v8, the classic BMW GT5 and Formula A.
