So...

I was racing yesterday with Renault Clio Cup cars around Nürburgring and I went straight out and set a 2:21.167 laptime, I was the first car out and first car to set a time.

themayor20 then went out and on his third lap managed to match my time but yet somehow he was give pole position and the interval time shows 0.001 faster, yet our best-laps were identical.

In proper racing if their times are identical the position goes to whoever set the lap first.

Also... that "Carlos" guy at the bottom was just a douche crashing people, he came last in qualli and race and kept screwing hotlaps up, I was 1.4 seconds up by sector 2 on my second hotlap and the douche went full speed into me, ruining my lap.

I'm willing to bet that the game tracks the times to more than three decimal places, so technically the mayor was faster, i'd guess by .0005 or something. The split time it probably because of rounding.

This is exactly how iRacing works as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.

Yes, I realise that but in all real racing the times are done to 3 decimal places so if you can't round the 4th decimal to make a user higher and the lap times are the same then I should have been on pole as I set my lap first.

If he was 0.005 faster, then he should have been rounded up and it made visible on his lap time.

Known issue.

Thanks :)

There's also a weird timing bug where I'll finish a car length behind someone online, but it will say I finished ahead by half a second. It's happened at every close race I've had
