Greetings Programs:

SeeTheAir.com has been an organized online racing league for more than 4 years. With well over 200 sanctioned races with more than 100 registered drivers and an active list that spans from Australia to the mainland US and over through England and into Europe and Africa, SeeTheAir.com has brought International racing to the homes of every member.

STA (SeeTheAir.com) is now recruiting clean, mic'd, and good drivers for the next step in it's racing organization. Project Cars has put down a foundation on PS4 that will bring exciting racing for every event that will be scheduled. We are looking to possible start with a GT3 series as well as a Kart, and a ROLEX style LMP/GT3 combination series.

Please visit us at SeeTheAir.com. Look over our vast website to see where you can fit in. We have a secured forums for members only, individual driver pages so you can track your progress in the league, and fully updated schedules and standings for all the series available. Our detailed rule book clarifies that we mean business when it comes to racing. This is our poker night in a sense and we want to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time racing.

While Project Cars is not our only format we race on, it is fast becoming the place to be with what has been given to us. We encourage all like minded drivers to give us a look over at least once. Visit SeeTheAir.com now, or simply skip to register for the league to gain access to an organized and established racing league. Follow us on Twitter as well. @seetheair

Hope to see you on the track soon. Post any questions that you might have. PSN: marimbakat

If you are interested in racing with us at SeeTheAir you can reply to this thread. I will try to post a few things about the GT3 Pro Series we are starting up at STA. This first seasonal series will encompass a 9 race event series for the GT3 Pro Series Championship. The following is a tentative track list we are looking at for the series. Start date is looking to be July 2nd with races every other Thursday at 9pm EST. This is to allow time for testing on each track. Practices will be held inbetween race events.

Official Track List/Schedule:

7/9/2015 - Watkins Glen GP, 35 Laps
7/23/2015 - Hockenheim GP, 50 Laps
8/6/2015 - Dubai Autodrome International, 45 Laps
8/20/2015 - Sonoma Raceway Short, 50 Laps
9/3/2015 - Oulton Park International, 45 Laps
9/17/2015 - Zhuhai International Circuit, 42 Laps
9/24/2015 - Imola, 35 Laps
10/8/2015 - Sakitto International, 55 Laps
10/22/2015 - Road America, 28 Laps

WEATHER - RANDOM (clear the first few races)
TIME - 10x
RACE START TIME - VARIES
TIRE WEAR - Real
ABS - Allowed
Traction Control - Allowed
No forced view

A.I. Involvement - Depending upon how many people make the race, we will try to add A.I. to fill out the slots on the grid. Most likely we will only use a 50% strength with A.I. just for the realism of having more cars on the track. If you finish behind an A.I. car, then your points in the series will reflect just that, your finishing position as a whole for each event.

OFFICIAL POINTS SCHEDULE:
1st - 10pts
2nd - 9pts
3rd - 8pts
4th - 7pts
5th - 6pts
6th - 5pts
7th - 4pts
8th - 3pts
9th - 2pts
10th - 1pt
11th - 16th - 0 points (much like Formula One)

We all have lives of course. Drivers will drive one vehicle to the entire 9 race schedule, but will be able to choose 2 separate liveries within the season. We are also looking into adding A.I. drivers to the race to fill out the field if possible. Hope to see more drivers on the list. More to be added.

Got the registrations. Filling out a welcome email to a previous member, and I'll set your username and password up to our forums right after. Not all spots are taken. it'll be most likely a first come first served basis. Not all registers will most likely make it to every race, but we're going to try and fill the room with live people, if not filled with A.I.

As long as you can make the races with the time difference and that your connection is good enough to stay in the room you're good. Just register at our site and we'll go from there. We have members from Autralia to England.

We have a few more spots open, occasionally people might miss a race, so there is always room, as we can do knock out qualifying for the races too. We've also updated our points schedule AND a new team competition. Needing one more British car in the mix for good measure. Sure to be fun.
Update: We've moved the start of the season to next Thursday. This is to work out kinks in some of the race particulars (weather, A.I., getting everyone in the race lobby and such.)

@roca...gotcha covered. Welcome email sent with login info for forums.

If numbers jump over 16 with each event, we'll be implementing a knock-out qualifying to get into the race. A lower division can also always be made to run in the League at SeeTheAir. We're always open to new members.

This is a reminder to any participant that has signed up, you need to have added "marimbakat" on PSN, and chosen a car by Thursday to participate in the GT3 Pro Series at SeeTheAir.com. We most likely will not be using A.I. with our numbers, but there is an anticipation we will have a full room and knock-out qualifying might be taking place. Be prepared and practice at the first track.

With the growth of the entries in the GT3 Pro Series at STA showing only growth, the league will be adding a second division to the Project Cars game. This division will consist of the same GT3 cars used in the Pro Series, with the same rules, regulations and points system.

The new ProAm division will be a set of tracks (8) that aligns itself with the Pro Series. The knock-out qualifying procedures will determine who is running in the ProAm division if drivers are not already signed up for it. This gives current STA approved members to have the chance still to race, but in another division and the opportunity for a win in the league. This division will also help foster drivers that might not be fast enough to compete in the Pro Series in a given qualifying session. A new category will be amended to the SeeTheAir.com registration form that is filled out upon membership to the league.

A new thread will also be created within the STA League forum.

We are going to have very close Q times.
I think that even if someone do 01:39.xxx,will not be certain for a Pro league spot.Everybody did their practice and it is going to be a crazy battle/fight even to get into the top 16.

Fight-Test
21-07-2015, 16:58
I agree and I know alot of the guys not at practice are running good times. We are up to 27 guys I think for qualification. Gonna be alot of guys on the fence fighting for those last Pro spots. Good practice last night also. We should have another tonight also running longer stints.

julesdennis

It is the most exiting series I've seen around.
I know that the really fast guys can go 01:38.xxx-01:37.xxx but I've never seen people doing 01:39.xxx and not able to get into the top 16(and this is what is going to happend). It is going to be a nightmare and fun at the same time....
Great, clean and fast pace race(and Q).At least the http://www.seetheair.com/ have the ProAm so that everyone who fail to Q for the Pros, get to race and not get cut because they are not "good enought".

Big thanks to Marimbakat for organizing all this great online gaming experience and to all the guys that are taking part and making it so exciting.

EDIT:28 players I think.4 of them will do the ProAm race so that means 24 to fight for a spot to the Pro main race. From what I understand at least 20 are capable of a hotlap 01:39.xxx or lower. It is going to be a huge battle to get to the Pro race. The Knockout Q is going to be crazy.

Great, clean fast race last night at the Gt3 Pro Championship organized by SeeTheAir.com
Fog and heavy fog, racing day and night plus the tire wear x2 made the race very interesting and challenging.
Congratulation to the winners.Great pace guys.
If anyone is interested in Pcars online racing should check out these series.
Marimbakat and co are doing a fantastic job organizing and delivering online racing. They do know what they are doing plus they give a chance to all, regardless their level,to join, enjoy racing online and in the same time improve their skill.

Wow Nacho, Thought you were a little higher class than this. Guess not. We've been racing for over 4 1/2 years and we have our ups and downs. While our average age is about 35, I would venture to guess we do not drive like kids. Also given the fact that you have only run about 4 races with us officially, I don't think you are qualified to judge this league in one bit. Not everyone drives your line and we are not all A.I. We're not going to move out of your way just because we are beside you. The incident that happened last night was a racing incident, and I find it not so hard to believe now that the child was the one who cried out and said he was done with the series and rage quit only a few laps into a 45 lap race. Careful who you call a kid, cause you need to look in the mirror first.

Edited 11:30am 8/7/15
I reviewed the video posted on the twitch account and as it does show finger over drove the Turn 5 hairpin, he gave the position back as per the rules. I am issuing on the Gasoline Alley forums a sanction for the two other drivers for excessive contact after the fact, but due to the early departure and not continuing on, it's not relevant to discuss that here. I will add, as we have been having issues with excessive track cutting, quite a bit was shown on that video and it was by you yourself Nacho, especially in turn 4 on one occasion completely cutting it illegally without a slow down at all. Again I question your attempt, since the league rules are there, you have just cause to complain, but to swear up and down like a sailor on the forums afterward and quit when it didn't look like you were out of it at all, just senseless.

I didn't call anyone a child. I said the racing is wreck-less and akin to that which you find in public lobbies. We could have addressed this on the STA forum, had you not banned me from it, or had you reached out to me at all after the event.

I get that you guy's will be upset that I've decided to call out the league in public. In hindsight, it was a dick-headed move on my part...fueled by a couple beers and the fact that not a single person wanted to reach out to me after the race to discuss what had happened. That said, I still stand behind the comment.

I've only raced in your league for a handful of events but this isn't my first rodeo. Pointing out how long your league has been around or how many events I was in doesn't address the problem of poor racing and ungentlemanly behavior on track or you personally coming across as rude and flippant in regards to complaints and suggestions.

Had you been on the receiving end of multiple pit maneuvers and bump pass attempts, I venture to guess you would have not acted kindly to the drivers involved. It wasn't one single event that led up to me quitting. It was a culmination of me watching the racing devolve into unsportsmanlike competition, mixed in with the sense that you truly didn't care whether the driving was clean or not if you weren't directly involved with being crashed into.

In regards to the specific event that finally caused me to quit, it wasn't "just racing" and it definitely wasn't an instance where I was mad because a driver had gotten the best of me in a corner and stole my line, or wasn't just bowing to my will. Going into a hairpin turn after a long straight, trailing the driver in front of you by over a quarter of a second, isn't an open invitation to disregard braking point, driving line, and the location of the leading car in order to pull off a pass that leads to the driver in front being knocked off track, losing multiple positions and damaging their car in the process. No matter how much you may want to just label that "good hard racing", it isn't. It's the same dive-bombing tactics that cause me to want to join leagues like yours and avoid public lobbies as much as I can.

That said, I personally like the guys in STA as people. Those guys that I've spent the majority of time racing with are very personable and funny. The racing isn't though, and the mechanism's you put in place to address that don't feel particularly helpful. Add to that your penchant for being overly authoritarian and sometimes unnecessarily curt, and it leaves a person not wanting to take up issues through you.

Personally, I hope you and your league all the best. I think you have a nice website and you do try and put on a good event. Unfortunately, unless you're Fight-Test up there, running head and shoulders above the fray, you run the risk of wasting hours preparing for an hour+ long event only to have all your preparation wiped out in less than 10 minutes, with the added bonus of listening to you in the background telling the wrecked driver to basically suck it up...that's racing.

Anyway, good luck with your Series. I don't hate or feel ill will towards any of you, not in the least, and I definitely won't get into a name calling match with anyone.

Simply put, your account was deactivated currently due to you taking this issue here, and not in the forum, and with the language use in our forums. I did not deactivate it until this morning when I found out through another member that you took this issue here to insult the league as a whole. And when you call it like driving with kids, I'm sorry that comes across as calling it what it sounds like. If you had come to me before here, and then again, not swore like a sailor on the forums, I might have taken your case with a little more merit. Your race was not ruined by that incident and the big picture was avoided. Being the only official in the room I'm sorry if I could not have slammed down justice then and there. That is being handled. The fact of the matter is the use of language in a forum that is made for the league, was uncalled for and even more so, the public outcry here. I don't mind the fact that you have an issue with the drivers, but you come to me before hand. Now if that's authoritarian, sorry, but it is my league. If you had an issue, there was only one place you needed to come.

Tough little track. One mistake and your toast here. The negative camber on the first two corners is hard to figure out and where are we supposed to pass!!! haha, this is gonna be a good time.

Hello my friend im very much interested but for different reasons. My name is Steve aka Mustard and i run Vrroom.. (won't put the full address out of respect) but i think you know of me.
I would like to ask you publicly if you would be interested in speaking with me about running your website under my banner.. I would of course give you all rights.

You are the only other website out there that probably shares my vision. Hope to speak soon my friend. Steve

This really is a great website btw.

@VR-MUSTARD
I also want to thank you for drawing my attention to your website, for I am informing you that due to the violation of copyrights, You need to change your words upon your website, specifically your league rules. They are basically verbatim of what my copyrighted, published works are on SeeTheAir.com/leaguerules.html

I shall give you an example - My Spotter Involvement rule, adopted in 2012 after an incident during an LMP/GT race event, where a driver left a race and came back and helped another driver on his team. That night I typed up the rule personally and even included a short time after that on May 5th, 2012, a clarification was added for clearer understanding of the rule. This same rule is found almost entirely verbatim on your site. A clear violation of my copyright rights to published works. You even added the clarification I put in there of "5.5.12".

Your violation
215026

My copyrighted material
215027

View of my clear copyright publication, even though this is no longer required for copyrighted published works online.
215028

If these rules are not changed enough to a notable difference from what you copied on my site, my investigations into this violation of the Berne Copyright Convention may have to be taken to the next level. The fact that you have stolen intellectual property and placed it on your site, as I stated before "verbatim", with the combination of the fact that you even charge members money to participate, with this stolen property, is a clear violation of International Law.

Thank you. I will be recording my findings to my investigation.

WHAT! someone written these rules out for me a long time ago?? Or so i thought.. I have of course taken it down straight away. I don't know what to say only that some of the lads who have been with Vrroom since the beginning will tell you the same thing.. That i guy called jaikai did this for me.

I don't know what to say, I genuinely didn't notice this when i asked to speak with you.

good practices the last few nights guys. Really hard track to pass on, patience is key here. Those first two negative camber corners seem to be really giving alot of guys issues.

Congrats to @Fight-Test and his teamates for their pace and the final result.
But we have to report all the bug(s) problems that many had in both divisions.
Not one,not two...All kind of online bugs hitting many many fellow gamers.
The 3.0 update is causing more problems than solving them.
Online is almost unplayble. With all these bugs there is no way to enjoy or organize a good online championship.I did not had a single problem but almost everyone else had one (one way or another:disconnections/invisible walls, pitstop "tire"problems ext).
