Hi everyone,

I have some issue, previously seen with Ryno but we haven't figured out how to fix it.

As you can see below, when I'm saving my diffuse map as a DDS DX1, the template is cut by a half (that's the result)

Thank you for helping

I can't get the plug-in working with my pshop so what I've been doing is saving them as .png's and then exporting as .dds using gimp. Give that a try.

Have you already tried saving as a .tga and re-opening in photoshop and saving that way?

Hi, have you resized the livery to square dimensions (IE 2048x2048 or 4096x4096) before saving?
If not, could you try it?

Don't know the real cause here but be sure to
* merge down/flatten image before saving (deactivate wireframe before - I lost few hours of work after leaving wireframe with 30% opacity:))
* resize image before saving to square
This is my plugin dialog window (I don't remember changing anything there)

One thing I picked up when I was having issues, you might try saving the psd as a tiff first, then convert the tiff to dds. Mine was constantly crashing going straight into save as dds. Long shot and probably unrelated to your problem but it's worth a try.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for helping & answering. I guess I found the problem, I followed what flymar does with the dialog plugin & I think that it worked.

For working "blind" it's bloody good:) I took liberty and put there quite dark spec and fres because I like matte:D
EDIT: I think you can go up to 4096 for sharper textures. If you have larger source material.
