Stanley Cup to the Chicago Blackhawks. Way to go 'Hawks!!

I shall have to put on the Blackhawks hockey shirt that I was given as a gift - it's finally warm enough to do so here in the UK, too. :) I can't say I know anything about hockey, the shirt is simply a colourful piece of Americana for me.

Corey Crawford was great and really solid in-between the pipes. He doesn't always seem to get the recognition he deserves. And now he has two cup rings! Congrats!

Crawford had a horrible start to the playoffs and actually got pulled from the net at one point (against the Predators I think). But he battled and won back the job, and he even seemed to get better as the playoffs went on.

I'm struggling big time today at work (had a few too many last night), but hey, Blackhawks are the champs!

Yes he really is great at battling and has amazing adversity. Darling was also great and I think it really pushed Crawford to get his competitive edge back!

Anyone gonna be at the parade Thursday? The team bus will depart United Center at 11am and go to Grant park for the party. It will roll right by my office LaSalle street so i'll get some pictures.

That would be really cool if you could post a few pictures of the parade. Wish I could be there to experience the whole scene.

Nice pic, Umer. I've had my shirt on a couple of times recently (as mentioned earlier in the thread). :)

Congrats Blackhawks fans.
Well deserved. And, they picked the correct MVP of the series. He was incredible the entire playoffs but beyond exceptional in the finals.

The draft is over and free agency kicks off. Gonna be a long summer.
Gonna be even longer for us Bruins fans. What a dreadful weekend for B's fans

Awesome pic Umer! The parade and celebration looked fantastic. This might be a disappointing off-season for the Hawks, the finances might mean that they'll lose some popular players.

Still these are good times for Chicago sports fans, heck even the Cubs are doing pretty well. They won't beat the Cardinals for the division title, but hey, they could actually make the playoffs as a wild card team.

Then again the Bears are still stuck with Cutler .... ugh.
