I don't remember seeing this in the notes. Nice surprise.

What's the definition of a flying lap?

I think its when you finish an out lap and cross the start line at speed that lap is a flying lap.

I'm under the impression he means your out on a hot lap in quali and the clock would run out and you couldn't finish your flying lap. Where as now I hope he's saying you can finish your hot lap even tho the clock has ran its course. Just like in f1 in real life you can cross the start finish line with a few seconds left on the clock and put in one last attempt.

Ah, that makes sense, thank you.

I did this last night and didn't even notice that it was part of the update. Good to know.

Are you sure this is part of the 1.4 update? I was able to do this before the 1.4 update in Quick Race Weekend. I haven't played PCars since E3 started and I don't have the 1.4 Patch yet as I've been using my Xbox to stream the conferences.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it does'nt , so don't think anything got patched there.

Doing qualy in a lobby last night, it ended as soon as the timer reached zero. Maybe this is a si gle player thing?

It was always the case in single player IIRC, as long as you hadn't invalidated the lap-time. Only in online events would the qualifying for everyone as soon as the timer ticked out.

Actually it happens pretty randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, no matter if you're on a clean lap or not.

Can anybody confirm it works 100% now or do you still get "cut off" by the clock in some cases after patch 1.4?
