Has anyone managed to get this game to run at 60fps with rain on can someone post a screenshot of their graphics setup so I know how to archive this myself as at the minuet when it rains in the game my Fps drops dramatically. If I have to play with everything set to low then this game is poo.

Really..?? With a GTX 980 you should be able to run with everything on max and still get ~100fps...no matter what is on the screen. Driver's up to date etc...?? Also, what processor are you running??....Could have an effect I guess

I have a GTX970 and it is awesome, very rarely does it drop below 100fps and normally averages ~120fps...I honestly can't pick the difference though.

CPU bottleneck, I assume...

Do I have a bad CPU?

It is not on par with you GPU. It isn't bad, but I think that Pcars is pushing it to it's limits, since the physics are really heavy on the CPU.
So, if you want more FPS, you will have to get another CPU. And another mainboard for it of course.

Maybe you should try geforce experience and let it auto adjust your in-game settings for pCars.
It works fine for me.

this is my cpu usage
what is causing me to lose fps???

This speaks for itself. Your GPU is nowhere near its limit. So the performance is crippled elsewhere.

Can you post your Ingame-Settings? Resolution is?

I'm on stable 60fps for 99%+ of the time (including weather) 3440x1440 with a 970 (old i5@3.3).

Just don't go Ultra on anything (aim for mid/high with your CPU, probably more mid)...

I am getting 100fps @ 1080P with a GTX 970 OC'd and a 3570K @ 4.5ghz. On 3D Mark I get 11,700 on fireshot benchmark. I am more inline with the 2nd post where he gets up to 120fps. Mine dips into the 90's from time to time. In multiplayer I rarely see anything in the 80's for fps. I really enjoy Project Cars.

Judging by the second pic your CPU isn't being fully utilised. Are you running some kind of power saving profile? Are your cores parked?
