I just released the first version of the 150 pages pCars2 tracks handbook.

https://github.com/wwwutz/pCars2-Tracks/raw/master/pcars2tracks.pdf (latest working copy)

Source at https://github.com/wwwutz/pCars2-Tracks

One page per track. Clickable table of contents.

Thought this might be helpful for some people. Comments welcome 8)

I hope I didn't infringe some DRM or trigger some legal action.

The 'oldie but goldie' pCars 1 printable tracks PDF is still available under

https://github.com/wwwutz/pCars-Tracks/raw/master/pcarstracks.pdf (latest working copy)

Would it be possible to add a page for each location that shows all of it's track layouts together? Being able to see them next to each other for comparison would be very helpful (and might make for a shorter "quick reference" if printed)

Glad I stumbled on this. Saved me a ton of work as I was planning to make something similar myself.

Very nicely laid out and looks great. Well done!!

Many thanks for the work in putting this together.

Suggestions

You could use the circuit symbol (the round arrow) as a double function for showing if the track e (counter)clockwise too

Expand with the corner names in the future?

That would be nice, but I don't know where to get this data. Meaning: x/y position on map and name. This all has to be positioned manually. This isn't an unsolveable problem, but quite time-consuming. I'll file that one, but I'm afraid it won't get into the next release.

Nice.

Look here for corner name info: http://racingcircuits.info/. This is my go-to reference for all things tracks. Circuits by timeline too with multiple layouts superimposed.

Very nice work!

I've checked the maximum number of cars one can have in offline races for each layout, not sure if those numbers are different in online races and on the PC version. Feel free to include this info on the next file update.

There's something wrong with the file, I can open it with Adobe Reader and see the first 4 pages but from page 5 on it gives me a error message.

Hmmm, that's odd. I didn't check with adobe reader since I'm using evince/qpdfview on linux or PDFXchange on windows. no issues yet, but I'll see if I can find something. Just hang on. OK I can verify this with adobe acrobat pro X. some weird Error 131. let me see.

Also this document gives further info on tracks/grid size/pit or no pits etc - it is listed on the Pcars Resources Thread (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?38864-Forum-Resources-for-Pcars)

List of all tracks/ grid size/ car class - this is at the end of the API document in this post but was updated with latest DLC 28th December 2015

You have no idea how much I enjoyed,
And how much I use your track guide. Big, huge thank you !!

Are you planning to do the same with Project Cars 2?

I've updated the printable pCars tracks PDF which still has 103 pages.

As suggested the maximum number of cars has been added in v9.1 and some graphical cleanup has been done.

One page per track. Clickable table of contents.

Thought this might be helpful for some people. Comments welcome 8)

Oooops you just woke me up the hard way. To be honest, I realised I have a gold membership for pCars2 yesterday and found out I also had working Steam keys waiting for me. And a poster. And a t-shirt. So I downloaded pCars2 yesterday and have an actual playing time of about 5 minutes by just watching the intro with full powerd speakers 8)))
I will have a look at the files and what I can do but I can't promise anything. I'll keep you up to date.
Cheerio,
Peter

binary files -> 1200 lines of ugly perl code -> svg -> inkscape -> pdf

would not recommend to try this at home 8-)

Great job, i think ill use your svg to display live mapping with the DS api !
In the Api, we have the center of the map in Latitude and longitude
ANd the coordinates of the players in milimeters.
Do you know, with your perl code, if you can extract the size, or the corner coordinates of each tracks ?
