Ps4 using controller ai at 100 won go karts both series easy in the 2nd series i was 2-3 secs a lap faster. The classic german touring cars and in the classic series with escort and merc i am struggling. Is there a set up help or something i can do help or is it a bit of a know issue? Back in a caterham and 0.5 of a sec a lap faster again. Caterham is how i would think the escort should handle

I just soften the rear suspension a little, bring the front down a bit or two and set the traction control slip to 7, did wonders for me

The AI is not consistent between the types of cars you drive. You might have to adjust the difficulty settings in different races.

In my experience, invitationals are harder than the proper championships. Should be the other way round imo

The key is: Easy on the throttle :) I made laps 2-3 seconds quicker just beause I learned to manage the throttle during acceleration like I did not before with Formula cars.

I used menaceuk setup http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?22932-Ford-Escort-Mk1RS1600 as a basis like it less understeer but i had to up the final drive ratio a notch cause to much over steer. Qual 12th but kept getting smashed off track by the big mercs and lost places every restart so i let i run. Had a another great race in the caterhams after first lap mistake led to overtakes for a win. Hope after some updates game gets more like that with all races.

Another question is as we have a race engineer i thought the car would be really well set up already

Race engeneers work on drivers imput, not the other way around. As the console can't argue with you (yet) you have to set things up.

True but they work on feel of the car, i am sat At home with a analoge stick for steering and the R buttons for accel and brake. Just some hints would help as every car is so different. Went solo practice in the merc and that way a oversteer animal

Hints, thats the word. I agree with you, some hints would be nice. I use controller too and know nothing about tuning. I'm learning though

F1 games i played, had like a rough pre set up we could tweek. Sure the game will keep improving in big jumps, still way better then GT to me. Not sure about 2 having rally lol can't slide on this one. Looking forward i got a le mans invitation soon which should be fun to try. Not stopping 100% difficulty would rather loose in a great race then walk a easy race
