Hi guys, i'll need a little help from Fanatec GT3RS users(i wish i had 600$ CAD for this kit! :D)

Could someone do a step log 2(linear force test) in iRacing Force Feedback Test application (https://mega.co.nz/#!wt4UzboQ!r70tMEAqOxY1UZxSviiukJs29OfSyIBBJYULPWWyNCg)(wheelcheck.exe). I don't know how this wheel is configured driver wise. Something about 100% force and no DRI would do the trick.

This will create a file named something like log2 2015-07-05 22-47-26.csv in your documents folder. You can post the results here or PM for the transfer.

I'm still trying to figure out the Scoop parameter and i think this would help me.

Thank you!

That was some quick help!

Thanks a bunch.

No probs, very easy to do while I took a few sips of coffee before work. ;)

Let me know if you come to any interesting conclusions about tweaking any "FFB Calibration" values. :)

I was able to have a look at the data you kindly provided. You win, i lose!

My train of thoughts was i expected to find a knee in the response of the GT3 RS. Maybe it would have helped me to figure out the current .70 knee/ .15 reduction default. The math would have been good. Now, the part where you win! :)

Your wheel's response to force is pretty linear! You don't even need scoop in my view. You have an absolute deadzone of 8%. Between 8 and 14%, the response is so low that you could probably remove that part and you're set!

Thanks again.

Forgot to check back on this thread!

So do you think I should keep knee at 0.7, scoop changed to 0 and deadzone increased from "min force" result of 0.065 to 0.8 from the above data?

Well, i'll try to post the data you gave me.

But Both scoop at 0

DRR 0.12
DRF 0.060 (put it somewhere in 0.05, then click the right arrow until it ticks to 0.06)

I had various discussion with some forum members, but there's still some debate, we'll what answers we can get from Ermo's thread (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?34570-FFB-UI-TightenCenterRange-not-working-when-used-in-FFBTweakers-xml)

Thanks again.

So I reset my default controller profile (Fanatec 911 turbo gt3 rs gated shifter {albeit I do not have a gated shifter}); assigned functions; removed deadzone from pedals; calibrated pedals; calibrated wheel.

I then Went to FFB Calibration and changed the following from default...
Tire Force 10%
Deadzone Removal Range 0.12
Deadzone Removal Fallout 0.06
Scoop Knee 0
Scoop Reduction 0

So now went I drive the Formula A at Spa (do you get the impression I an addicted to this track yet? ;) ), I get a moderate amount amount of clipping, much less than default but far more than I had with...
Tire Force 10
DRR 0.06
DRF 0.02
Default Scoop Knee (0.7)
Default Scoop Reduction (0.15)
Relative Gain 1.10 (default 0.98)
Bleed 0.10
Clamp 0.95 (default 0.96)
Soft Clip {top}1.29
Soft clip {bottom}1.10

I could definitely live with some clipping while travelling up Eau Rouge, it is an extreme corner, but I am also getting some clipping around other parts of the track.

I could change "Master Scale" for the Formula A FFB (in track setup) to something lower than the default 26, maybe ~20-23. But then I will need to tweak the FFB for every single track I ever drive the Formula A.
Or I could reduce Tire Force in the controller FFB Calibration to maybe 8/9. But then I expect to have to increase Master Scale for most other cars.

First world problems/headaches! ;)

Here ya go poirqc! It seemed to have got a pretty good results, this time!

(4)Step Log 2 settings
Wheel Properties
Wheel Angle 900
Dampening Strength 100

Settings
Sen 900
FF 100
Sho OFF
dri off (3 was specified in .zip on single tests)
Abs 65 (CSR pedals/clutch & brake inverted)
Lin 000
deA 000
SPr off
dPr off
ACL off

Look at what happened, when FFB was set to 80 on wheel. FFB offset is 12

220855

The problem with this wheel, the settings are all useless without pwm/pwms even using dri 3. Same goes for the T150 RS.

Indeed! :)

I just deleted my whole reply before submiting it. :(

Here it goes again. It seems you got pretty good results this time, for both the wheels you posted. You're far away from the 34% you first reported, witch was indeed wrong.

For the GT3 RS V2, you have a mathematical deadzone of 9.5%. This time around, the minForceTest gave the same results than the log2 test. However, your practical deadzone is more like 12%. The T150 is more clearcut, at default, at about 16%. Those are the values i'm seeing when i import your data with FCM.

A reason that might explain why you're getting great results, with lower Deadzone Removal Range than reported, is because you have soft clipping enabled. Below, bmanic explain ways of using Soft Clipping. In some case, it can lowers the need to use DRR.

I gotta confess that i've never really messed with Soft Clipping.

1 bmanic Soft Clipping example. (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?38744-Lets-talk-FFB-Post-and-Compare-short-Telemetry-Videos-and-what-FFB-tweek-used&p=1145919&viewfull=1#post1145919)

I think the data you provided is sound. You could base a working setup out of them.

Cheers!

WTF . ? This is all jibberish to me ,lol .
I wish i could use this program for my Fanatec 911 GT2 on ps4 but i dont have access to a pc.
Even have access to your brains lol.
Any chance of you guys knowing a good base for my wheel ?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks .

You could try to find it the the GT2 is similar to the GT3. If so, you could try to follow the official guide, and take the guide values. I think the guys that wrote it had a GT3. Not sure.
