View Full Version : AI driving on rims, sparks everywhere

With PATCH 2.0

so, did a WATKINS GLEN Multiplayer lobby yesterday, 3x human racers and rest filled with AI @90 strength, 15 laps race, all realistic and mechanical failures off, rest ON and Tire Wear-7x, and oh 2x slots of RANDOM weather assigned at 10x. (time progression at 2x)

in qualification, in lap 5, AI started going around on rims sparking all over the track. (quali times 01:42.0xx to 01:44.0xx) WOW on the quali times! close to under 2mins...wow:confused:

in the race, in lap 6, AI started going around on rims sparking all over the track.:no:

have the videos, short but funny and proves the point, just have not figured out how to post videos easy way...any suggestions how and where to upload MOV files?

PS: on another note, same in Silverstone, and here AI lap times (02:00.0xx to 02:03.9xx) same issues as above with 2x human racers (and on sparking wheels/ rims between lap 4-7 @AI:no:

Don't use 7x tire wear. It's a known issue that the AI doesn't pit early enough with this setting.

bealdor, at what multipliers does it work correctly, meaning do all other multipliers work?

This fixed in the next patch. Thanks all who pointed it out. Works with 7x wear too.

Ahhh, I had this issue yesterday. Le Mans, 30 laps, 7x tyre wear. Cars struggling round on their rims after about 4 laps.

Will just ditch using 7x. Simple.

You can upload directly to Youtube account if you got one from the PS4 now :)

Its the same with 2x tire wear, offline.
Had a 60 lap race on Spa. After 15 laps many of the AI cars was crawling very slowly around the track and sparks came from there rims.
But still they didnīt enter the pit, they just drove on and crashed in almost every corner.
Only 12 cars made it to the finishline, from a grid of 36 cars.

Did it affect a certain type of car? With me it was a Prototype grid, the old cars like the V12 LMR and the Bentley Speed 8 were all dragging themselves round on their rims while the contemporary cars were fine.

I only drove with GT3 cars and mostly it was the RUF and SLS that had the problems, but also saw AM and Z4 with tire issues.
