As the title suggests, are the rolling starts going to be fixed? It's seriously inhibiting my 'Ultimate Driver Journey' as I qualify first and start in second position.

As you can see in this video, I'm not even first when the green flag drops... Can the rolling start grid be flipped so pole is an advantage?

I do agree the rolling starts are a mess, all the speeding up and slowing down is unnecessary, not to mention the times it starts you facing a kerb or wall. Most tracks have plenty of straight road before the line so why not have the lights go green just before the start line not just after the first car exits the last corner

That's pretty funny! You sure you did not qualify in 2nd?

edit: nevermind your p1 until the green light.

its not even on the pit straight when it starts. :(

Hope Rolling starts are improved in future updates. I allways dread them.

It's retarded. It's like they've never seen a rolling start before.

Can't say it looks right:) But not sure I'd be any good at rolling starts anyway.

Ok, this isn't the best example as it looks like every other public lobby... but this is a rolling start at Oschersleben.

Things to note that differ from Project CARS:

1) The guy who qualifies on pole IS in first place at the green light.
2) The rolling start is given the green light when the cars are on the start straight.

Hopefully this will get fixed as well. I think it must be a prioritzed thing to fix.

Is there anywhere worse than Oschersleben? Sonoma is pretty bad as you're put into the wall if I remember correctly?!

I believe there are plans to bring the green flag closer to the S/F line for some problematic tracks

This should have been fixed before release not months after.

I can't believe it made it past testing like this, it almost like they never even tried a rolling start with more than 1 car before shipping

I back out of online races when I see rolling start being enabled.

I have ran into where the AI next to my car bumps my car off track (sometimes results in a time penalty for cutting the track as soon as the race starts), ive often had my car pushed sideways by the AI car from behind and besides my car just right before the green light.

Rolling starts are absolutely horrible in this game.

Hopefully one of the devs will shed some light on it

Still no fix in 4.0? Rolling starts should never have been included in the retail version if they are going to be as pointless as a race number.

Yup had that happen more times than I can count. .along with..becuase having 1st the driving line...AI wants it too and crashes into you to get it

Yup , often in 2nd by the time the flag drops or starting on the outside of a bend with 2nd having the inside line . Needs sorting

try sonoma short or go rolling start :) in for a treat! then go to watkins glend, then hockenheim gp and then laguna seca to wrap it up :) happy crashing and happy positions shuffles! (also it can happen P10 hops right to P2 or even P1 first corner! lol)

PS: rolling start issues posted more than handful of times since release...

Even on the rare occasion that it works as it should, it often feels weird to watch your car accelerate and stop apruptly in places and situations where it doesnt make much sense. Also the green flag still drops in the wrong place on a lot of tracks (Road America, for example).
