View Full Version : Still no sound glitch fix for XB1 on patch 3.0?!

Unless I missed it, and hope I have but I can't believe we will still have to put up with the god awful noise after patch 3.0. This horrible sound glitch happens to me in every single race, every single one without fail. It's not a game breaker, and I've loved PCARS from day 1, still do but please can we get this sorted? I like PCARS loud, with a good headset and this just ruins the race experience for me.

There might never be a fix.It has to do with the extra core the game uses!

They've stated that they should be able to fix it once MS releases new dev kits allowing for better control of that core. I haven't seen any confirmation as yet that they have done so and until they do we just have to wait.

It will be worked out completely in P Cars 2

We want it fixed for PC1. Thats what we are all currently playing. Not a game thats years away.

What we want, is never going to be what we get. So relax, try to enjoy what you have. Remember, it is only a game

Thanks for the update, would SMS care to confirm or offer any other update to this?

Depending on the car you're driving and the severity of the glitching-out, it can be downright game-breaking. There is just no way to keep your focus/sanity or hear your car as necessary during episodes like this:

Note: I really like the game and I'm not out to crucify the devs or anything, so I keep bug reporting videos like this unlisted, but feel free to share it around the forum if it helps elevate the issue.

Agree it's a major issue that takes away from the sim. I'd take a drop in graphics to have this issue resolved.

Poor guy, just making a statement that he is happy this doesn't happen on his PS4. We then accuse him of living under a bridge. Who are the real trolls here?

Are these similar dev kits to the ones that bear little resemblance to "consumer hardware" and therefore the reason games don't work when released?

Damn - never had it that bad!! Maybe it was struggling with the terrible driving and high GFX levels?? ;)

PS I have PC and Xbox versions

:p yeah, not my best work out there... that was my first test of streaming+recording gameplay from the xbox app, though, so i was paying as much attention to the computer as i was to the road.

Is patch 3.0 love? Fired up the game with no update to download. And auto download isn't set on my xbox.

Example of the awful sound I'm unfortunately getting used to.

No, has nothing to do with hardware, but the software kit.

Ugh I hate that sound. I hear it at least once a race, too. I'd be hard pressed to find much wrong with the game if I didn't, though.
