Hi,

Is anyone else finding the BMW M3 GT4 much slower at top speed and pull off? I'm racing at Dubai International (Single race) at 90% AI skill level, but they just loose me in the straights. I've been able to do a set-up where I can stay with cars at this level around corners, but they just leave me with speed. As there isn't any adjustments to the engine, I don't know how to get around this issue. No gear ratios are suitable either. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to race at 100% ai skill level, but going lower than 90% just to win isn't an option for me.

Thanks!

I noticed that also early on. I was in a race at Snetterton 300 and was just getting left behind on that long straight. I just quit using it on those types of courses. It almost seems like it's out of class compared to the Mustang and the Aston.

Please ProjectCars... Now that there's a brand new M4 GTS (concept at least), please bring it to the sim. Or at least make the M3 GT4 competitive! I love my BMs.

Many games let you win the race on the first lap at 80-90% but not this one. 85% is bloody good, and anything much over that is tough as hell. I think you have to take pCars on its own terms but there is no shame in running lower AI in this game.
Even at 85% one mistake will pretty much scupper your chances of a win, they won‘t wait around for you.

I was losing position down Bathurst's Conrod Straight and was being overtaken by Mustangs and what not.

Ended up turning downforce to minimum and found that I could at least keep up with them while still having plenty of grip. I also find that with the AI set at 83%, in most instances my exit speed is better than the AI's and that helps a lot.

Thanks for the replies guys. @John Hargreaves - I find that with street cars (BMW 1M, McLaren P1 etc.) I can win at 100%, not with track/race cars. Just an interesting observation.

I will try the down force thing... haven't tried it at minimum before - thanks!

In the right hands and a good set up, it is very well a competitive car in the class.

Doesn't look like too much of a concept anymore to me... looks pretty solid already.

I ran the BMW M3 GT in a mp session on default setups at Nürburgring and I was in the ass (bumping almost) of a RUF GT3 coming out of final corner onto the straight and he pulled away a little. I couldn't even slipstream overtake from that most optimal position.

I still like the car :)

M3 GT3 isnt slow. I can keep up with it easily with the rest of the GT3 cars

The GT4 category is pretty much unbalanced.

Its like this:
Fastest are the Ginetta, and the Aston.
Almost 2 sec/lap slower is the Mustang and the BMW
Another almost 2 sec/lap slower is the Aston Martin Hybrid. :(

Here are my best times with them on Zolder:
Aston Martin Rapid S H2 1:44,847
Aston Martin V8 Vantage 1:41,014
BMW M3 E92 GT4 1:43,063
Ford Mustang Boss 302R1 1:42,816
Ginetta G55 GT4 1:41,050

I don't understand the 'unbalancedness' of this category... surely all cars must run close to equal performance parameters. I can understand that at certain tracks certain cars would have the advantage, but the present gap is just too darn big. Maybe some insight from WMD?
