every single patch that comes out this car is becoming slower and slower.
thanks to this patch, the tires now need stupidly high pressure in the tires to make them reach the same speeds as they did before. which means that the car has less grip which in turns makes you slower.

The Community Event times for the Formula A @ Spa from last weekend suggest the car is close to ~7 seconds too quick compared to real life, if the setup used in pCARS could be used for a full race (my ~1min46secs was usable for a full race, which is still ~1.4secs quicker than Jenson's 2012 qualifying time and ~2secs quicker than Sebastian's 2011 pole).

Agreed.

I was able to get a best lap of 1:53.231 on my Formula A car setup @ Spa, which beat Hamilton's fastest lap in race, while still being shy of his 1.48.908 qualifying time. I use a controller, and I'm not even that good at this game. Seems the cars are quicker than real life.

If people want faster, maybe sms might release fictional f1 car from around 2000-2004? Could just call it formula A V10? Hint hint hint :)

Exactly which tyres are you using? Default setup? You make any aero changes etc?

Same setup as before, just adjusted the tire pressure. Spa I'm slower by nearly 2 seconds now.

320km/h on the straight yesterday, default settings with some KERS and DRS.

That's not that quick...

I guess one could reduce downforce and adjust gear ratio. How fast are the F1 cars at their best? 340? That's probably doable with a high speed setting. I belive downforce setting matters even when having DRS.

Why are they nerfing the FA to match the 2015 F1 car, when the FA is based from a 2013 F1 car, I think its 2013 anyway.

FA is inspired by a 2011 F1 car.

I'm about 1.5 seconds quicker patch 2 to patch 3.

With DRS and KERS, I was topping out at ~340kph for the Spa event, with 0.5/2 wing settings (and reduced [NOT CLOSED] brake duct and radiator, oh and default [NOT ZERO] wheel cambers).

Sounds like it still needs nerfed alot...Surly no one should be able to beat Hamilton's times?

Well Hamilton is not using DRS on all straits and KERS like its possible with the FA in PCARS.

Is it at all drivable/competable for a whole lap? if it is, I must try those settings.

Yes, I posted a 1min46.2sec lap in the community event, using those settings and a 2 clicks longer final gear. I typically don't get my best laps right from the off with any TT events, usually after ~3-5 laps, for this event I recall having instability through Blanchimont with DRS open for the first few laps.
