To add to this, the league that both me and AfterAll are in is one of the most competitive leagues you can get. Multiple drivers can get world record lap times whenever they like (In fact, if you look at the pole times for the races we've done, 70% of them have been better than world record at the time) and this bug is ruining races, and potentially it can ruin one of our championships.

I've stated it in another thread that I usually stick up for SMS but this bug I just can't. What causes it? What will be done about it? Is there any work around? If it's needed, I'll happily help you test stuff to make your work load a little bit less, but we're getting absolutely nothing from this. If it was Codemasters I wouldn't be surprised at all, but you've always told us straight whats happening, so why not this time?

Looks like dip n flip, or a variant of it at least. Some good footage, with telemetry, was captured by the TGC guys last night after a number of us (including myself) were hit by the same bug at Sakitto. The devs are well aware of it, it's just the randomness in the way it strikes that is causing the problem re. finding it. That said, one theory revolves around kerbs and potential damage caused. Sakitto and Silverstone seem to be the worst affected tracks for it.

It's not being ignored, it's just hard to recreate sometimes and, as such, makes it such a sod to fix.

Maybe provide a description of the issue, I'm not sure what you are trying to show in your videos.

20+ drivers from GT3 Elite league will be happy to give tons of telemetry data/replays/testing if SMS will start doing at least something to fix this.

They started tracking down this issue a while ago already. But when you can't replicate a bug it's incredibly hard to fix it.
If you have any more data/replays or any kind of repro steps please feel free to post them.

They're already on it but it can't do any harm to get as many examples as possible .

For what it's worth, an SMS employee is one of the TGC guys and he is as keen as all of us to ensure this bug is fixed. The problem is whether or not the telemetry actually shows something going wrong - data from external profilers don't appear to have yielded any clues so far - hence why SMS wanted to get the on-screen telemetry footage captured, to see if that showed anything odd.

If you can run a race with everybody showing telemetry and have everybody record the race live then that would be a great help. Also, make sure people make a mental note of how much kerb they use and see if you get the problem without hitting a single kerb or going off track - this is purely a theory at the moment but I know I'm heavy on the kerbs and I was affected by the bug twice in 25 laps of Sakitto last night (the second time lost me wheels, which grounded me in the gravel).

:)

Sorry to post again, but in case it got missed. There's a thread dedicated to videos capturing the dip and flip bug, with telemetry. Can you post any videos you have in there please in future - only post videos that show the pCARS telemetry screen, captured live.

Link to thread (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?37995-Dip-amp-Flip-Bug-(recorded-with-Telemetry-HUD))

Cheers :).

It is important to run the telemetry during the race and exactly when it happens... The telemetry from the replay is kinda useless... But cluck pointed it out, me and some other people reproduced the bug in Sakitto and got it on video. Hopefully it can help sorting this bug out as fast as possible :)

And btw... an angry header like this helps no one... Everybody suffers from this issue not only your epic super gt3 league where 70% of your driver got a better time than the WR... Just sayin...

I've always had it mid race in Sakitto, from around lap 15-17 or so. I'll do another race stint tonight using telemetry only screen pretending it's the actual race (Yesterday I wasn't aggressive at all because I wanted to save tyres, I'll drive in a similar fashion again) and then upload it to see if anything happens.

As I mentioned earlier, Sakitto is notorious for it. Silverstone GP seems to be the other big offender.

Lap 15-17 coincides with my first hit. It struck again just 6 laps later.

I can provide evidence as well:

To add even more; my fuel tank magically refueled whilst the race (I did not pit at all in the past 23 laps):

As mentioned before replay files or videos from replays cant help here. Ingame footage with telemetry HUD on can help but the replay telemetry is not giving everything out than the ingame does :/

What exactly can you see on telemetry?

It's always the same procedure: As the tire wear reaches about 35% (in pcars profiler) this bug happens. You can hear a popping noise (like a tire exploding) and then you spin off track. And then you can go on like nothing happened.

edit: So yes, this bug is reproducable. You just have to drive a few laps. It WILL happen.

Have a look here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?37995-Dip-amp-Flip-Bug-(recorded-with-Telemetry-HUD)

The devs are aware of the problem and a simple replay video doesnt help in this case. The telemetry reader gives info about the height, the real tire pressure and so on... We did some testing and forced the dip & flip bug on sakitto. The Group A cars around lap 12, the Clios around 15.

I have this bug in every race. Especially on soft tires.

Doesnt change the fact that normal videos without real-time telemtry reader (also replay captures) wont help mate^^

From what I can see, telemetry isn't helping much either. Sure it gives information but from all the videos in the other thread (can we get them both merged?) I can't see anything alarming that stands out on any part of that telemetry HUD. The car just...lifts and flips over. The only real consistent thing I am seeing with it is that it happens later in a stint on the tyres after they have been worn down.

Also, is this an issue that is exclusive to MP, or does it happen in SP career, quick race weekend or free practice sessions too?

As far as I know only MP? I am not 100% sure. We did this test on a request Yorkie. And the request was with the telemetry hud on. So I can say it helped a lot :P because we could force the D&P on video with the telemetry hud on. We did couple days ago another testsession with the gt3 cars on silverstone and after 40 laps we had no D&F. A wonder we catched it so fast on sakitto :)

And to add to this, I played 500+ hours and I NEVER EVER encountered this bug. It never happened to me.

I can confirm it does happen in single player. At minimum it happens in quick race weekend. Have not experienced it in practice sessions or career yet. *knock on wood*

Could these bugs in AfterAll14's videos be from his cars setup? I've never had any of these happen to me, but then again I don't drive the Ruf.
