Or do they not have them in real life.
Seems odd to me the lowest tier of open wheel would omit a safety feature like brake lights. But they don't have them in the day races that I have been running.

Hmm. Was wondering if the real series skipped lights to cut cost and only run day races?

I assume they can't run at night in game because they have no headlights either.

Correct.

it has a red light that turns on as well as illuminates display.
Their running lights.

You have control for rain/overcast. Pretty cool. Got it. It does have illumination lights.
And you can run it in the dark, with track lights. Kinda sketchy though.

The red tail light when braking is a bug (and SMS is aware of it). The cars they are modeled similar to have no lights at all.

I noticed it only came on when you turn on the lights. Day or night. Doesn't change intensity under braking. No brake light. Seems the way it should be then? Lights added for this game for overcast/rain visibility in daytime? No headlights.

It has one light. Looks like the one used in rainy races.

Either that was added or it's still an 'issue' as it was reported before the release about there being brake like glow without a light:

I haven't used the car much since release so it's possible they added a light since (and non-pCARS1 WMD members cannot view the link above so don't bother clicking on it)..

Yes - it was bug of the stretched brake light reflection showing without actual brake light. I also haven't used it in ages (GT career and DLC cars mostly).

I'm really wondering is this whole thing is a joke. Since when do open wheel race cars have brake lights??? seriously... sorry to be a keyboard warrior.

They don't but they should have a single rain light !

Formula 1 cars do have a red light in the rear, but it's not a brake light. It's a rain light, to make the car visible in bad weather conditions.
It also goes on (flashing) when the car is driving on pit speed limiter.

If your paying attention. It doesn't. No brake light. Only a running light for visibility. User controlled.

They do. Guy left a picture and everything.
I wonder sometimes what people are reading or looking at.
