Morning PC lovers.
Does anyone use a tracker IR? I have been reading and watching videos. Seems awesome. I think it's better than having a multi screen setup. Just a descent size monitor and tracker should be more realistic. It be just like in real life turning ur head to see the side

I've been using TrackIR for years, great addition for me. Some people cannot get used to it, though, so if you could try it somewhere that would be a good thing.

I love it. I use it with a 65" 4K TV. I sit very close to the TV, so it's very immersive. Worth the $ in my opinion. Don't bother getting the TrackClip Pro. I use the cheap hat clip that comes with it and it works fine, plus it's durable. I sat on it the other day and it survive! The TrackClip Pro would have broke for sure. Plus the TrackClip Pro needs a USB to run it, one more thing hanging from you head :(

I like it...but as Remco noted, not everyone does. I don't think it really is a replacement for multiple monitors, but it does bridge the gap. Could even be a little beneficial on multi setups.

I have been using the TrackClip Pro for ~18mo with no issues. It all depends on how you treat your equipment... For me, using a hat clip will result in being farther off-center from the receiver (my eyeline is slightly below center of a 27" monitor), so the movement isn't linear. I have the USB running with the headphone cords, so it adds no real inconvenience. Though, as your view highlights, it will be a personal thing.

Good point about sight line with TrackClip Pro, I also sit a bit lower than center of screen. Plus if the clip was on my headphones I'd be less likely to leave it laying around to get broke. I'll have to consider TrackClip Pro after reading your post. Thx!

I'm using TrackIR 3 Pro since day one and is a must for me, but a friend of mine has a TIR 3 Pro too and is unable to get used to it in racing games.

I think the key to using TrackIR in racing situations is fine-tuning the movement settings. I prefer to only track right-to-left movement and have scaled the movement to be narrow in the middle so as not to lose focus on the track in front of me. Works perfectly for lining up the proper apex entrance and with a full move to the left or right, I can see any cars that may be alongside.

This idea has not occurred to me until now. This is a very good tip, I'll try. Thanks!

I find it hard to get a nice balance. I don't want to have to turn my head too far left or right to see my mirrors or beside my car, because then I get disoriented and drive my car across the road.

However, if I tighten the response to make head movements smaller, I find its very easy to have minor head movements bounce the view around when you are simply turning the wheel quickly. This can make it hard to tell what the car is actually doing.

So far I like it best in the narrower cars. I loved it in the Ginetta G40. I find it more difficult to set up in the Vantage V12.

I think I would personally prefer 3 screens + track IR... or perhaps a 21:9 screen and TrackIr... but for the amount of money involved... I think the TrackIr is a good compromise.

Have you tried using the 'tightened' response and making a small deadzone around the center position so that small head movements are not translated into camera movements? Works well for me.

Track Ir is very good for me, but CTRL + K don't work with it. It's a problem for me, i can't setup the view like i Want.

Sorry for my poor english.

I use Track ir and I think it does make for a better experience on triple screens but personally I am looking out for the VR headsets, might be worth waiting to see what they are like.
