Ok, so after reading some threads on here I am thinking regardless of CPU which I will assume being an I7 and 16GB Ram, what card is going to run this game at max settings and I mean insane at 1080p/1440p/4K at 144fps minimum and I mean no drops below so you could VSync without worrying if it dipped.

Can anyone here say they can go 144 plus without going below at the stated resolution? I'm thinking 1080p may be doable?

Well, I can only tell ya that a single 980 won't. I run 60 FPS at 1080p with most, not all, settings on ultra.

From my limited research the 980 ti is almost comparable (in benchmarks, not necessarily specs) to the Titan X for a better value...don't know if either alone will do the trick though, but I think those are about as good as they get right now, correct me if I'm wrong. Saw something about a gpu accelerator that costs like 4500 though...probably be better off doing the dual gpu thing, whatever they call that. I'm still learning this whole PC gaming hardware thing myself.

See my specs in the sig. I run pCARS nearly maxed out bar reflections and env map (both on high) and minus the insane mode. But honestly that's completely unneeded, maybe for screenshots but then you won't need 144 FPS ;)

When I'm alone on track I'm nearly maxing out my monitor, with AI or in multiplayer I'm at around 100 FPS +-20 depending on weather and track.

That's at 1440p. For 4K you would think you'd need two 980tis but from the benchmarks I've seen SLI doesn't scale all to well in pCARS. So that would be money out the window. One or two Titan X won't cut it either. 1080p should be very doable maxed out on the other hand :)

i'm currently looking at a new PC from Chillblast, they are very helpful, i've been discussing specs and option for a couple of weeks, they have recommended at 2 x Geforce 980 Ti's for full Ultra settings on 3 x 1440p 144hz monitors if that helps

G'day. I upgraded my PC specifically for project cars.
With my rig I can run ultra at 4k res with high quality AA at constant 60fps. Looks awesome but was not cheap.

Would be better if you could give us a budget to work with. If not, you might end up with suggestions which easily could break trough 2000 $, and that still wouldn't be the end of the line.

So it looks like a lot of money then lol, I think I'll go with a 980ti, not a fan of sli and 3 triple 24" 1080p screens, should be good for a mix of ultra and high.

I highly recommend one 4K 27 inch 144hz monitor. No point of having all that power if it is just going to max at 60hz.

That doesn't exist yet. DP 1.2 only supports 4K @ 60 Hz. We have to wait for DP 1.3 to make that happen.

Look at my signature. I got the spec you probably are looking for. 3 x 24 inch 144 Hz monitors with G-sync for smooth image without tear or stutter. Got a single 980Ti card and i'm not able to run everything in ultra though (then the framerate is down to around 70-80 fps). But Pcars looks awesome in high settings as well. My framerate is around 100-120 fps most of the times.
