I've updated the controller firmware to the 2.3.2381.0 version and I have to say, the rumble feedback, specially the triggers feedback got way, way better. Seems to be more precise and clear, giving a better feeling of the road and drive wheels.
This update is rolling in waves. If you have the headset adapter, plug it in with a headphone connected before update.

Nope, it isn't, it really change the way the rumble acts on project cars, and a little bit on Forza 6...

I was on a little earlier and didn't have an update. I forgot, do you have to force an update for the controller? I can't remember if it updates automatically or not.

You have to update it with the USB cable.
Only the new controllers with 3.5mm jack update ota.

Preview member too, my controller bricked during it's update so just in case this happens to anyone. (Fix thanks to SW33NDAWG) I started updating my controller the green bar got to 4% and there was an error, the controller would not turn on again. I powered down the Xb1, unplugged the power cable from the back and gave it 5 minutes. Reconnected the power cable started the Xb1 but plugged in a different micro usb cable and the controller came back to life and the update worked when I tried again, Phew!
