Developers of open source program GIMX [Game Input MultipleXer] have managed to find a way to interpolate singals sent by old Logitech wheels and send them to PS4 where those wheels are recognized as G29. Full force feedback is present [some older Logi wheels have only vibration support].

So procedure is - plug wheel into PC [linux or windows], app spoofs the signal, and then "G29 signal" is sent to PS4 via USB or Bluetooth.

Supported wheels are:
G27
Driving Force GT
G25
Momo Racing Force Feedback
Momo Force
Driving Force Pro
Logitech Speed Force Wireless
Formula Force GP (vibration only)

This looks very promising from the video, however you can not believe all that you see on the internet. Until this is tested by an independent source, not the creator or test pilot, I will wait to pass judgement.

With that being said I surely hope this works. I Look forward to having the option of using a G27, I am sure Logitec does not.

Hi Steam,
I'm the tester of GIMX and the signal is only transmitted to the PS4 through USB port. Bluetooth is not supported.

For anyone skeptical about the project, keep in mind that it is open source and anyone can build the adapter itself as I did when I first knew about GIMX.

This requires a step-by-step idiot guide to allow the layman to unpack a once redundant Logitech wheel and start playing.

A full jar of internet cookies for the first comprehensive guide.

First of all make the adapter:

I was on the fence of buying the t150 but after reading this post I decided to give it a try as it seems simple enough to build. I should be getting the parts to build the adapter today, UPS say they are out for delivery, so I will try it out with my dfgt wheel and let everyone know how it works.

It works! It took me a while to get the converter to work as I had it wired wrong, but after a visit to the gimx website support page and reading through some of the trouble shooting threads I got it to work. Hats off to the guys at gimx as they saved me a couple hundred bucks as the hole setup cost me 25 bucks.

As for lag there is none that I noticed, my dfgt worked just as it did on the ps3, all the buttons work, I did not try the shift but the paddle buttons worked fine. The only problem I had was that my laptop went into sleep mode after running for a period of time but that was an easy fix.

It worked in both drive club and pcars with no problems, so if you have a logitech wheel collecting dust this is the answer. Great job gimx.

Sadly it does not work with the Logitech G25 as confirmed by the developer Matlo :sorrow:

I feel like this is something that could potentially get you banned on PSN lol. I don't know why, but it's just the feeling I get from this.

That said, I hope that I'm wrong, and this works so people with logitech wheels can play, since there are no reasonably priced good wheel setups available these days.

Hi,

It seems that it's a driver problem between Sony and Logitech, then no risk to be banned.
