Ferrari is going public tomorrow on the stock market, and will be in control by shareholders. They will want to see growth, and a small part of that would be more accessible licencing. I could foresee with new management the developers of Project Cars and other racing games getting a better deal to license out Ferrari cars.

I am not sure how long modeling and measurements would take, but maybe by Christmas we could have a couple of Ferrari cars to drive around in. Just speculation.

I'm more worried about Ferrari's future as a public traded company. What will happen to the F1 team when the shareholders say "that costs too much"
Bean counters just don't get cars. Legacy means nothing to investors. I hope Fiat knows what they're doing.

I cant see the current situation changing any time soon.

Nothing will change in the immediate future in this respect.

Even if SMS obtained Ferrari licencing tomorrow there is 0% chance of seeing having it by Christmas. In fact you would be looking closer to late April / May anyway as there is a staggering amount of work required to bring a car of the level of graphical fidelity of those seen in PCars to launch.

PCars2 will hopefully feature some of Maranello's finest.

Nothing stopping SMS from having the cars already finished (unlikely ) but possible .

Mind you very unlikely as we seem to know most if not all the DLC for the near future already .

Indeed, contractual obligations with 3rd parties (Micro$oft/T10) wouldnt just go out the window for a floating on the markets.
