great work, hats off to you guys! (but old classic cars...Project CARS is going Gran Turismo style, once we reach 289 different Lotus vehicles from the Mk.I 1948...to 2017...) seriously, just a thought, Lotus has IMSA, GT/ GT1 history, at least that would have nice...but guess devided opinions. either way good work and thx for the DLC/ free content.

Looking forward to driving the new tracks. I'm a tiny bit disappointed in the cars in this DLC given that we already have several old Lotus', so something else for the sake of variety would have been nice, but a good job overall and I'm grateful that these packages are still being rolled out on a monthly basis.

With this DLC you get livery's for cars in another DLC pack. So I get liveries for a car that I do not own, that is just awesome guys. Can't wait for the next DLC to get some more livery's for the cars in this pack.

Awesome track pack though. Couldn't care less about the cars.

I'm very much looking forward to these tracks and cars. I love the old vintage F1 cars, very little or no down force, that only encourages good close wheel to wheel racing. To me the modern F1 cars don't hold a lot of interest for me, the cars are just glued to the road. I love feeling the bumps and the cars reaction, air under the car when hitting the crest of a hill when you don't have the down force, looking for the right apex in a corner to avoid the road undulations and still hit it as fast as you can, that's racing. That is my taste in racing but everyone has there own style and type of racing they truly enjoy and that's the nice part about having this many choices in the cars to pick from.

I too was hoping for Historic Spa & Solitude in this pack, maybe a future pack :p

I had never driven Rouen until 2h ago but it is a wonderful circuit that I am so happy to have finally tried. Looking at the map, for the full circuit, it looks really simple but it is deceptively difficult due to the mix of off-camber corners, elevation changes and a couple of blind turns. I have had a few sessions end with a classic Lotus in the slight ditch with a wheel 100m away. Challenging but enjoyable.

Hockenheim and Silverstone Classics are great additions to what is already a superb roster.
I think SMS should change the loading screens for them from the modern circuits to the appropriate Classic images. It feels wrong without an image of the proper circuit.

The Lotus Type 38 Indy car is tough to drive due to the crazy torque which allows it to hit 330kmh+ with a 2-Speed gearbox. The wave of low torque keeps catching me out.

I think you mean the Type 38? It's the Indy car where as the Type 51 is the Formula Ford.

The Type 38 is designed to be offset for oval racing. You will have to be smooth on the throttle and braking to overcome the offset design.

Where is my 49C, maybe this is what they meant by free car, you just don't see it, please sort, also can you slap the guy round the head who centers up the steering wheels in cockpit view, does he wear a patch on one eye? so many need re-centering, new and old content.

Very pissed off last night. I was quite excited about this DLC, so spent time setting up a lobby and sending out invitations to try some of the new tracks and cars, rounded up a few of the troops, set up a race at Silverstone Classic with the Lotus Ford, only for a NEW type of crash to manifest itself. During quali I returned to the pits (to power cycle my wheel in order to get FFB back, because THIS KEEPS DISAPPEARING SIX PATCHES LATER) only for the game to drop to a single-digit frame rate with extremely sluggish inputs. The countdown timer also froze, and I couldn't leave the pits. The game just hung with the gimpy pit man doing some silly slow-motion dance in front of my car like he'd just crapped his pants. I offered apologies to everyone in the lobby, shut down the game and went and played something else that... just works.

Man, I'm soooooooo glad I spent that extra £6 for the DLC. Oh, and some of the new cars try to violently shake my wheel to bits even when sitting stationary on the grid before the race has even started.

You're slowly wearing me down, SMS. Not sure I can take much more of this.

Just because you don't like it and it doesn't fit your taste, it doesn't mean it's bad.
Also, even those "rehashes" have to be made completely from scratch. It doesn't matter if a similar track is already ingame.

Loving the DLC can appreciate probably not to everyone's tastes but the cars are fun and the tracks something different than the high downforce modern configurations we are normally used to. Just a question though, some people have been doubting the authenticity of Classic Hockenheim and Silverstone, I am sure SMS have as usual tried to make these as authentic as possible but can the devs at least confirm what year each is based on. I myself am not that familiar with the old layouts of the 2 tracks so could not comment, just intrigued as to their accuracy bearing in mind how difficult it is to hand make a track that still actually exists in real life let alone one that is long gone?

Since those configurations don't exist anymore (Rouen only exists as public road these days), I imagine they would have to use old video and images to build the tracks. I remember when the 80's version of Fuji Speedway was recreated for GT4, PD spoke about that video and images were how they did it.

It is basically going through masses of old photos, TV materials, Movies (Grand Prix Movie (which also is not really historically correct)), sometimes the real roads exist like in rouen which gives a basic idea of the terrain flow. But in the end these tracks are all made via more or less funded guesses.
I think they really did catch the spirit of these tracks.

In the case of old Hockenheim I think it is an 80's version, as that east chicane is completely new to me. Rouen should be mid-60's and Silverstone maybe early 70's. Would be nice to know though.

Rouen with the L25 is awesome, also Silverstone with the L49 - GPL here I come! :) Really impressive stuff, SMS! I hope we get Monza, Solitude and Spa in the near future!

At least y'all have a sense of humor.OK, I'll bite.

How on earth you think ANY of the paid-for cars in the DLC are similar to each other - or similar to anything already in the game - quite escapes me. They are all thoroughly unique.

And 'rehashes of existing tracks'? Have you driven classic Silverstone or classic Hockenheim? They are FAR removed from their modern counterparts. And that leaves Rouen, neither variant of which has been in the released game until now.

But hey, why bother driving any of the cars as they are all basically a rehash of the 4-wheels model of the Caterham Seven Classic. And don't bother driving anything other than Brands Hatch Indy as all the other tracks are just slightly longer, twistier (and possibly flatter) re-hashes of it. EDIT : In fact, why bother playing Project CARS at all, it's just a rehash of Pole Position.

Whilst you're sat there bemoaning these things, I'll be doing laps around the new tracks in the new cars with a bloody great smile on my face :).

I have to admit to at first, not looking forward to this particular DLC. Before this DLC was released, I'd tried driving the Lotus 49 in game several times (with a controller), almost always getting annoyed because it had got into a hissy-fit tank-slapper and thrown me into a wall or barrier, no matter how smooth I tried to be with the steering and throttle input. The updated tire model introduced in Patch 6 made it *slightly* more driveable, but it was and still is prone to throw me into a wall if it loses traction and I try to pull it back into line.

This almost made me skip the Classic Lotus DLC. Almost, if it weren't for the tracks.

I love, love, LOVE Rouen, especially the Short Circuit, and Silverstone Classic is quite the circuit. I'm not so sure about Hockenheim Classic yet, but the DLC has only been out just over a day and I haven't driven it much yet, so I'm willing to give it time to grow on me.

What I was surprised to find out, was the handling of the new Lotuses (plural Loti?). The Lotus 51 is by far my favourite currently, reminding me somewhat of an old equivalent of the Formula Gulf 1000 ... high revving and can be pushed hard as it has lots of grip to give up. I'm also enjoying the 49C but the others are great also. The original, already in-game Lotus 49 is the worst handling of the bunch by far and nearly made me miss out on purchasing this DLC!!!

I'm going to have a lot of fun racing these new cars and tracks ... I can only hope there will be more people playing these in multiplayer (Xbox One) as I was hard pressed to find any last night and when I created a lobby, only a couple of people joined!

There is an issue with Time Trial mode on Rouen Short:

System: PS4
Mode: Time Trial
Track: Rouen Short
Turn: left hander before turn #4 (Virage du Nouveau Monde), the cobblestone hairpin
Issue: Although all four wheels are on tarmac, the lap gets invalidated because of "cutting the track". The issue turns up in lap 3. The first two are valid. Once the issue occurs, it persists until user restarts the session
Car used: Classic Lotus 51
Work-arounds:
1. If you wannt to place a time in the leaderboards, you need to do it during the first two laps. Unfortunately tires work best beyond that, starting in lap3 ca.
2. Stay on the right side of the track

Confirmed and further input:

I LOVE that 51 too gmspromo.

I did forget to add also, that although the handling of the Lotus Indycar is quite good, I have to agree with those that say it's a little out of place without having an oval to drive on. I know it can be adapted to drive on twisty tracks, but there is only so much leeway to adjusting the two gears it has and working within the power band.

A couple of problems I have noticed; Firstly on Rouen, in single player against the computer AI, if you have even one of the AI behind you when approaching the hairpin 9 times out of ten they overshoot and crash into you as they seem to be going WAY too fast to take the corner ... on the first lap of a race, it is ALWAYS a guaranteed pile-up.

The other problem is the AI speed. I was racing the Lotus 51 on Rouen Short, against AI set at 100% who were all also driving the Lotus 51. I was consistently at least 5 seconds a lap quicker than them, which obviously should not be the case!!!! Now I don't know if this is to do with the aforementioned hairpin issue (the AI always seeming to overshoot it or crashing at it), or if it's to do with the player getting the updated tire model in Patch 6, but the AI hasn't got it??? I don't know, I don't work for SMS but there either a problem or combination of problems there ... although I'm sure they will sort this SMSoon ...

Great tracks - very different.

They highlight that I dont really like all the fake advertisements on the other tracks - these add an authenticity / certain ambience that I like a lot more.

Cars are a handful !

Anyone whinging about the cost or suggesting the tracks are rehashes either need their head examined or are just plain out to troll..

As in http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?42411-Classic-Track-Expansion-Discussion&p=1179462#post1179462 ?

I had the invalidation happen on my first lap, but I continued driving to lap 7 or 8, if I approach the kink on the right side of the track and stay right until just before the hairpin the lap is validated.

My best lap from the session was around lap 6, so for me, it was not a case of "no point in carrying on the session" after lap 3.;)

OK, I'll bite.

So well said, Sir.

Yep, seems to affect the 49C more than the 49, one of the Formula A and one of the Formula B tyres (IIRC) also suffer from a relatively minor version of these earthquakes.

On the 49C, it is possively brutal around Silverstone Classic in TT mode, my desk (some excess kitchen worktop on storage units) moves away from the wall!

It's very weird some of you guys have these oscillations. Is it just a case of bad FFB settings (try to increase Dead Zone Removal Falloff)? I've heard complaints about the Formula A and B before but I have literally zero oscillations and I run very strong forces (that's what soft clipping half-input at 0.2 does).

Haven't got to try Hock or Rouen Short yet but I did play some Silverstone and Rouen Long last night.

Rouen Long is a nutso track. I tried out some of Lotuses for giggles (dat DFV sound). And it's definitely not a track for the faint of heart. I can see a lot fun to be had driving both those as well as some of the other classics like the Merc 300SL or the 2002. After a while though I decided to put the "old tracks are boring with new cars" theory to the test, and drove a couple of LMPs around (Oreca 09 and SRX8 if you must know). After an hour and a half I can definitely say that people who tow that line of thought have no idea what they're talking about. Is it a difficult track to drive on? No, it's not providing you drive like a grandma. But if you want to keep up and set a truly fast time then it's definitely hair raising fun. It's a lot like Le Mans in a way and I can easily see some endurance races happening on this track.

Silverstone is a decent track as well. I didn't drive it quite as much as Rouen Long and didn't try any modern cars on it. I think it's a track where the winner comes down to who sets the highest number of "perfect" laps. The fastest possible time is a very fine target compared to many tracks since many of the turns are quite fast, even for the older cars, so maintaining the highest possible speed through each turn is paramount to a good laptime and there aren't really any places where you can make up time on someone (providing they aren't bad or just very unfamiliar with the track). If you're a time-trial or FP person this track might get a bit tedious after a while but against the AI or other people there's some good racing to be had.

Overall, so far I'd say the tracks alone are worth the purchase.

Very weird handling with Lotus 25 Climax with 62 Hard tyre (default is 65 Medium). FFB has ultra fast vibration with them, similar to "white line" bug, but no white line. Also the car goes absolutely all over the place at 60 km/h and higher and tyre forces circles keep flickering.

No problems with 65 Medium tyre and those feel very good.

Not sure I can take much more of this.

this is the fix for the blue screen crash , it didnt crash :D

I'm totally enjoying these cars and tracks, one of the reasons I got in right away when pCars first went into development and haven't regretted it once since. This dlc shows the absolute potential of the game, the cars look and feel great, the tracks feel fantastic, look so good, totally nailed the era. For some reason I've never been a huge fan of Silverstone, but this track has forced me to rethink that opinion big time. I took the F1 63 Lotus out on it and it looks and feels awesome, the track is always moving under you, it feels soooo good, with the 63 Lotus Climax once the tires came in you just find your line, let the rear end break loose and drift a little into the corners, it just puts a HUGE smile on my face, so fun, brings back a lot of memories. Setup a quick race with them, I had no issues, ai behaved, the racing was intense, very close.

I have the next 4 days off and my wife probably won't be seeing a lot of me......

I'm so looking forward to more of the Historic tracks.

Yes indeed!
Not much of a Lotus 40 fan however, the Lotus 30 was a dog and as the late and much missed Ritchie Ginther said, 'The Lotus 40 was a 30 with 10 extra faults!'...................but it looks and sounds great.
As for tyre choice, when I first raced FF1600 we used Blue Streaks or Blue Streaks, that was it.
The early Lotus 25 F1 cars ran on Dunlop Green Spot rubber IIRC, the later 'Hybrid 25' and '33' used Dunlop R7 tyres, wider and lower profile.
So poor handling on 'Hard' compounds (mentioned earlier) is to be expected, 'Soft' would be closer to RL.
And could we please have the 'Ultimate' 25.......actually the Lotus 33 with fat wheels and rubber, running the 32 valve Climax with low level pipes and megaphones?

At Classic Silverstone you can only have a maximum of 17 opponents. Is it because of the way the start/finish line snakes around that final turn?

I got this oscillations too. They came with the very latest small update and I have them with every car. I tried it on several Lotuses, Toyota Rocket Bunny and the Clio.

It oscillates very hard when driving straight and it is definitely not because of flatspotting the tires, because it is right from the beginning.

I also tried to calibrate the deadzone and scoop reduction, but this didn't help.
Something changed on the FFB scales in general. Right now it is undriveable and would destroy the wheelbase.

With the Lotus 49C I'm getting a huge amount of center oscillation when in a straight line and also under braking as well, the rest of the Lotus open wheeler's do get it as well just not to that extreme

Any hint to solve this rumble is highly appreciated.
Same here on a CSR, which normally tends towards the light side on default FFB. The Lotus 25 was as i would expect it to be, but stepping into the 49C there was a lot of vibrations and the wheel felt very heavy turning, almost like it was clipping all the time.

Yet to test some other cars.

the 2 tracks that would be an amazing addition to project cars would be MILBORN PARK and or, ADELAIDE..

This thread is about the amazing and best DLC so far, CLASSIC LOTUS TRACK EXPANSION DLC.

NOTE: the new DLC pack lotuses flatspot their tires EXTREMELY easily. A tiny little slide and you start having vibrations.

Go to pits, repeat... nothing happens.

Still feels to me like the canned effects line bug showing up sometimes but now it shows in the yellow line.

O only got that ONCE in 3h and I got that flat spot effect at T1 OUT of the pit box in practice mode. I can't agree with you on this one.

Unfortunately, until tomorrow (hopefully) I won't be able to even test the 49C because I'm waiting for the CSPv3 (not all is bad :D )

For some odd reasons, the "Steering Gain" in the FFB settings went up to 5.
I pulled it back to 1. This solved the oscillation issue. At least for the Clio. The Lotus 49C is still oscillating during braking.

Could it be an issue with deadzone removal? I haven't bought the DLC yet so I haven't experienced it, I also don't have any experience with Fanatec wheels but the oscillation with the Formula A/B for me can be dialed out with reducing the deadzone removal range. I don't know if the Fanatec wheels require deadzone removal so if they don't feel free to ignore me :)

Can't understand some people's moaning with any of the DLC packs so far. The pricing model seems much better than in most other games and you don't even have to pay for the DLC to join an online session that is using it (great opportunity to test a car/track before committing, not that I would hesitate in spending £5 on entertainment).

Anyway, Classic Silverstone and Hockenheim are epic especially with the vintage cars. The best thing about this DLC though, the Lotus Type 51. The sound is just unbelievable, genuinely gave me goosebumps while wearing headphones - so a big shout out to the audio guys!

Looking forward to next month's additions.

I had the same issues last night, so bad the 49C was undriveable. Pushed all of the smoothing options to max settings and was almost gone. Now I am working on bringing them down one at a time to try to find the lowest setting that works. Love these old cars by the way, great job recreating some of racing's golden era.

Try resetting the wheel and calibrating again. Also, take a screenshot with the telemetry open while you have those oscillation problems. Usually heavy oscillation means way too strong forces and badly set deadzone removal FALLOFF setting. Start by setting it all the way to maximum (0.1) and see if that cures it. If it does not, then something really crazy is going on.

Well, my FFB settings are such that I have all extra spring effects disabled from the wheel driver so if it's a bug with the extra FFB FX channel then I will never even notice it.

.. as for the flatspots, I can feel driving over a single straw of grass so no wonder I feel the flatspots quicker than you. :P

Seriously though, my low-level boosted FFB settings make it so that I feel the flatspots immediately. Even a tiny little lockup (you'll notice when the audio goes "screetch" even for a millisecond) results in immediate subtle vibrations in the FFB. Once this happens and you lock up one more time, heavily, I can see huge bumps in the FFB telemetry and of course feel heavy flatspotting. :)

Every time you guys have problems with the FFB.. go to the preferences, hit the big RESET button and start from scratch. I know it's a PITA but it's the only way to make sure no general FFB settings are out of whack. Not sure why this game is so damn fragile when it comes to numerical settings but it is. It's one of the buggiest games in this regard that I've ever played. Numerical values in menus and all over the place will just randomly jump to different values and/or go completely nuts. I hope SMS builds the underlying framework from scratch for pCars 2 and solves this stuff once and for all.

Just as a reminder, SHIFT 2 suffered horribly from similar issues. Values would randomly jump and not save properly so there are some serious issues in the madness engine in this area.

From what I have experienced definitely not a flat spotting issue happened as soon as I left the pits on the first straightaway. Something weird with the FFB attached to the 49C, tried recalibrating and setting the FFB to default. Neither worked, so reading what the forces are attached to in the setup screen seems the mz smoothing made the biggest difference for me. Maxed out getting very little oscillation now. Like I posted earlier going to test later and try bringing the settings back down one at a time. I will post here once I get the lowest settings figured out that work.

Love the new (old!) tracks, Rouen is a blast in any car, and I love the old Hockenheim. I remember it from Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix on the Amiga ( used to lose full weekends on that game). Wasn't sure if I would enjoy the cars so much as I prefer more tracks to race on than a bigger car roster but so far loving each one!

I just have the problem with set ups not being saved for these tracks ( seems to save for cars that were only part of DLC packs and not originally in the game)

Keep up the good work SMS, I've just bought a wheel and about to buy a playseat challenge as I enjoy the racing so much

Hehe you got me. One can always hope they figure out the problem. It's not a deal breaker for me personally as there are always workarounds but it makes you always wonder "did my setup really save the way it says on screen? Why doesn't the car turn in even though I added tons of front wing?". Stuff like this makes the experience annoyingly "random" and you never know if you have yourself to blame or a bug.

Regarding the 49C and the heavy oscillation, someone in the Jack Spade thread said it should be related to the tyres it's on. So change the tyres to slicks and the vibrations are gone apparently.

Haven't tested it myself yet though.

I checked out the FFB graph yesterday and there are rapid heavy spikes each time you start turning the wheel with that car.

for me it is a game breaker really! I really love this game and find way too less time to enjoy in it. Yesterday I had 3 hours free to try the new (and btw. really great) content, but it turned out, that I had to spend all 3 hours to make my wheel drive-able. Not great, just drive-able. I was honestly pissed off.

As I already wrote, the reason was that the steering gain in the general FFB settings went magically to 5.0. After I reduced this, the FFB was ok again.

However, then the next strange "feature" came. The wheel started to steer to the right as soon as I started a session (e.q. on the starting grid or in the pits). I have no idea why this happened now.
I followed bmanic's advice and reset all control settings and started wheel calibration from the scratch.
The wheel rotation when starting a session was gone, but I found out the the steering gain went back to 5. Seems like this is the new default value!!!

Sorry, I can't confirm that. I tried the 1972 slicks on the 49c and the oscillation was less, but still clearly present. What freaks me out is, that since the latest update, more or less ALL cars suffer from it.
I've driven around twelve cars yesterday and none of them didn't have the issue at all. It was always present, sometimes to a really minor extend, but still there.

Or, better still - test it properly before release. I'm getting well and truly fed up with being a beta tester after the fact for every new patch (and now it seems, new DLC).

I'm sorry chaps, but SMS have justifiably earned an abysmal reputation for QA. You need to find a much better way to test content more thoroughly before it's released into the wild.

Hi guys

I think I have found a bug in multiplayer. First of all, I do NOT own the DLC yet. I was racing on a non-DLC-track in multiplayer yesterday and when the race had finished, the host changed the track to Hockenheim Classic. I expected to get disconnected from the session because I don't own this track but that didn't happen. In fact I was able to race on Hockenheim Classic without any problems.

At first I thought this occured because I was already in the session before the track was changed to a DLC track. But then I tried to join a session that had one of the DLC tracks (Rouen short) to see what happens. And see there, this worked as well. I think it is in the interest of SMS to fix this soon.

I don't know whether this also applies to the DLC cars.

It's not a bug, it's a feature!™ ;)

SMS doesn't want to split the community through their DLCs, so it makes them available for non-owners if the host forces those DLC cars/tracks. Working as intended.

My feelings are a little mixed on the 49C though. Awesome car, awesome sound. But the FFB. I have the vibrating/oscillating wheel which is odd because it is only really there when I am off the power and coasting. The FFB in general is just strange, I can't make heads or tails of what it is trying to tell me. Honestly a little disappointed and slightly killed my enthusiasm for grabbing the DLC at the end of the week.

You felt they were missing because:

1. Someone told you they would be in, and they werent?

2. you think they should make these classic tracks?

If #1, go slap whoever told you it would be in, and tell them not to lie.
If #2, please go suggest it in the track request thread. There are so many classic tracks that could be ingame (And more that arent currently). Pretty much versions of any track currently ingame when said track is over 20 years old.

I would like to draw more attention to this, and emphasize the fact this is a feature, and an AWESOME one at that.

I download EVERY DLC for a game that I enjoy, and not all of my friends are the same way. There have been SEVERAL games in the past where I could not play with my friends because they didn't buy DLC, and it mega sucks. In fact, its about to happen again with the Free DLC battlefront is releasing.. I get to play a week early where as some of my friends cant play with me because they didn't pre-order..

That thread seems to be discussing wheel wobble as a general issue effecting various cars since patch 6. I've not experienced a problem with anything other than the 49C on Formula 70 tyres.

But boy is it bad. Not only heavy oscillation but I'm also getting a similar effect to the grinding issue and the FFB has my T300 fan kicking into turbo after a couple of laps.

Is anyone having problems with the AI on the 49C? AI cars slide everywhere, try Monza for instance. You can start last at 100% and you will end up pretty high up, maybe first in a few laps...it is like cars don't have rear end grip. They go out of track a LOT as well...it makes it unplayable.

These cars can't drive at 100% around monza gp without running all four wheels off through first two chicanes and sliding badly through third fast chicane.
Lotus 49, 72D, 78, Ariel atom 300, ford gt iv, caterham 7 classic, formula rookie & merc 300 sel. I don't have this dlc because of this issue with old cars.

All lmp / gt / modern road cars seem ok (not fully tested all of them).
It's not just monza... it's tracks with chicanes, oulton park international , snett 300/200 for example... again not tested all, these are just the ones I like to drive.

Tested by picking a car and 1 opponent only - identical @ 100% & qualify session. Just use pit monitor to watch it drive around.

Hopefully someone will be given this task to check all cars on all tracks @100% and pass on findings to coders for future patch.

What happens if you lower the FFB strength on the per car FFB?

Since I wasn't clipping, I didn't touch it.

I can only guess weaker oscillation. If i don't hold the wheel it goes nuts.

Are you seeing it on all tracks, or just mainly Monza?

They do it on a few tracks. Its like they have no rear grip!

I noticed the same happen at Brandshatch...JM2014 and Flatout just posted their experience above. Something seems off with these cars...

It is stronger, by design. What I did was turn down the steering gain in the per car FFB a few notches.

Is there anyway to get the DLC content cycling more often within career?

And not forgetting that the vintage race cars are equipped with manual shifts (stick shifts) which makes it such an engaging and enjoyable drive. Paddle shifts are just a bunch of crap if you ask me but its definitely the fastest way to go...but it ain't my way.

OK, I'll bite.

That's a wonderful reply.

I'm not sure if it's already been posted, but there seems to be a bug with the setup saving for some of the new tracks. I wanted to save the ffb values for all of my cars for the new tracks in the garage. Somehow, however, it doesn't seem to save for the cars that have been in the game since release. Saving a setup in the garage for all tracks saves the setup for all tracks but Hockenheim Classic, Rouen les Essarts short (the setup for the normal version seems to be saved) and Silverstone Classic.

Interestingly, for some of the DLC cars, the setup seems to be saved for all tracks, including the historic tracks.

Can somebody confirm that or has a solution?

It's being discussed here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?42465-Cannot-save-my-setups-after-loading-them-at-Rouen-or-Silverstone-Classic

Just like to add my voice to those praising the classic lotus dlc.

It's a fantastic dlc. Thanks to everyone at SMS and WMD who put work into it.

Indeed, bringing us these classic cars and tracks was a great move. Not much racing game developers focus on these old tracks of yesteryear which were truly epic, so i'm very grateful SMS does.

Real racing pedigree in this game, and a show of respect to racing history too https://confluence.atlassian.com/s/en_GB/5997/6f42626d00e36f53fe51440403446ca61552e2a2.27/_/images/icons/emoticons/thumbs_up.png

That is about half the price you would pay for one track in iRacing...
And then you don't even "own" it, you can just use it.

How is that for good value... ?

...Please SMS ! , make your DLC more expensives !!! (joke ! :))
...my long refections on this subject, thanks Rofas for starting this recurring subject ! ...I don't return on the fact that this game is very good and nice and dev team has made very good work (I imagin with a montain of issues!) , and that's why I buy the game with lower content than other games ( GT6 for example! ) but I buy it because lot of not conventional tracks and cars, very nice music menu ... ! but my vision of the DLC is still that they are always too expensives... but it's not really a critic of SMS which make lower price compared to some other games ...it's the law of the market !! ... Note that actually the game with all DLC on a PS4 is more than 108 euros !! :ambivalence: really far from a IRACING but be carefull .... I just have long thinking and comparison on DLC and games and try to calculate a price with lot of probably wrong hypothesis but it's clear DLCs are a very good business! that's why it's generalyzed in every game (I don't compare with train simulator and his 3000 euros of DLC !! ) i have too many things to say but want to make it quickly !! not easy !! so I just '' launch a pavement on the puddle'' (french expression) I precise that I am not an ''anonimous'' , I prefer buy a game than a white mask which will reduce my vision when I play !! :ghost:
So for example : - hypothesis very simplified (OK stupid!) _ no taxes ?, no game_engine and menu to developped, no music , secret prices of licence ? investments ??..., - we cut 50 %(tracks)/50%(cars) the price of the game : 30 tracks /65 cars with around 22 brands (3 years of dev) . PC game : 45euros (very good price here, for sure !! ) = 1 track =less than 0.75 euro / one car less than 0,34 . If we compare to a GT6 (70 euros) ... ok it's not the same cathegory and number of sale (500 cars well modelled (I forget the 1200!)/ 41 tracks-106 brands = one car = 0,07 euro/one track = 0,85euro ... but well it's not the subject , this one is to compare PCars and his DLC !
I can understand that the price on DLC is higher than a price of the unit track and unit car on the game ... because the developper don't know how many game or DLC he will sell and it's logically lower than the sale of the game, because the content can be not intersting for some guys, or worst : stupid guys which boycott DLC ... so it's a lottery company ... or a financial risk !...
1/ in the best world (for the business man) , if one million game are solde and 1 million fan buy a DLC at 5 euro, it makes 5 millions euros ...somebody remembers the budget of the complet game ?? (I know it !! .. but I'm not sexy !! ) ... well it's a ''reductio ad absurdum'' but it deserves reflections !! .... I' should be very interesting of the number of sale of the DLC but this information are very hard to find.
2/ I think that old track based on a new track is not the same work as starting to point 0 !
3/variation of a car (GT 86) is not the same work as a complet new car !
4/time pass to create a DLC comparing to a game ?
5/ I prefer keep some other arguments ....:)

To conclued , I'm agree with Rofas . But who can give the real price ??? maybe I'm totally wrong ( up... or down) . Because I' m one of the stupids boycotters (one exception on dream sport pack.. this cars are too nice... shame on me !! ), the sales were less than my hypothesis . I probably should buy some DLC when their price will be more cheaper . This DLC should be free or at a symbolic 1 euro if the game was sold well and with good benefits ... dreaming has no price ( at least , for the moment !)
We cannot blame SMS which gives one of the lower prices on the market , for their DLC and is maybe not alone in the decision (like Poliphony and Sony, pressure of the market and other studio ?? why not ?? ) , it's the business , company must have money to make good job and invests in other game but the question is the limits of the gain ! and right , if we don't want the DLC , it's not compulsary to buy it ( but what a cruel temptation !)
It's sure that Any work deserves salary , but what salary ?? ( open topic of the salary of some managers of big companies which have nothing create , sportmens, actors ...?) ... games are art and give dream to lot of people , and Art has no real price !!!?? it' the offer and the demand !!! 3 / 5 or 7 euros don't change the life of the customers , that's why DLC are one of the best business invention of the last years , etc...
But I think that lower are the price higher are the sales ... but difficult to find the balance !

To finished : many thanks to SMS for the monthly free car (which has a price for them , sure ! ) , one of the reason of my purchase (because I play the game during 3 years during the dev and know lot of the content ... and more !!...) , and it's right that the buzz with of each DLC is cool ! , I miss all the weekly news delivered during the dev ... and I look back this time with nostalgia. I start same experience with Dirt rally but the level of communication is far from SMS !!!

The price is slowly getting higher. Next pack . ?? Who knows ??
We started at what $3.25 or something (testing the water )and the last $11.25 (give it a go and see ).
I know others charge more but my Mum always said just because someone else is doing that doesn't mean I have too .
Maybe SMS can lead by example and keep prices lower and in turn become market leader .
