View Full Version : [SOLVED] Loss in Performance?

So this morning I was driving some solo rounds in LMP1 and noticed that my car lost a lot of performance some how. Id say it's about a 30% loss of power and no KERS. I didn't have any significant crashes or anything. I searched around for some sort of "Service" feature but I couldnt find anything.

Any thoughts as to what causes this and, more importantly, how to fix it??

Thanks fellas!!

The KERS (or lack of it) is what causes it, no KERS=less power. The KERS regenerates under braking.

Yeah, I know that it regenerates under braking. But it doesn't. I don't think its KERS related, I think that's just one more thing that's not working properly. There's little torque and I'm down probably 10-15 mph top end.

It does not regenerate at all? In general after a lap or so, you'll not be able to regenerate it fully, but if it does nothing at all.... guess it's a bug, so does the bar fill up at all when you brake? Since if you only start with half KERS on a straight, sure enough, you will lose top speed, since it runs out of KERS earlier vs when it was full.

There is a limit of use per lap. Once you use it up, it cannot be used again until the next lap:

That's right, the lightning bolt goes away once you hit the 6MJ allowance per lap at Le Mans.

Pre-2014 the only rule was no more than a 500kJ discharge at one time. No limit per lap, so you could end up using close to 3MJ per lap as there are 6 big charge-discharge opportunities.

Perhaps I'm not being clear. There is a significant loss in performance. Both low end and high end. The Lack of KERS is just a small part of what I'm experiencing. The car was performing fine the last few days, until this morning.

Thanks for your input.

Turn on the telemetry and see what your horsepower rating is showing, and also verify you are seeing full throttle.

I've had this too but in other cars - no damage, no hard curb hits etc and I don't recall my engine temp being hot at all. Just started to lose power and top speed.

Stressing the engine through aggressive upshifts and/or downshifts?

Well, I just recalibrated everything and it's working fine. not sure what caused it but it's all good now!

Thanks for your help!✌️

You probably needed to recalibrate your pedals
