Game froze up on me earlier and when it finally unfroze and rebooted got a damn corrupt data message...SERIOUSLY?!?! I have had this game since the first of October, and this is the THIRD time it has done that!!! But anyway now I get to start all over .....LOL. Does anyone know if I can save the game data to a flash drive? That way I can save it each time after I play, and if....errr I mean WHEN it does it again I could just reload the save data from my flash drive....

Should be possible. Unfortunately I'm not near my ps4 to check where and how.
Only way I know how, would be to clone the complete hard drive under a Linux emulation on pc. A bit uncomfortable to do every time you played the game.

Set it to automatically upload to the PS Cloud. Never know, might already be set that way

I know. I've had it twice with GTA V and thrice with Far Cry 4. But never since I swapped the HDD for a SSD.

Why do people not back up their saves to a memory stick?
Come on people it's not new technology we've been saving to some kind of external memory since gaming began.

I saved on a memory srick after each session.
Started doing so in GT5 (PS3) and continued in GT6 and PCars (PS4).
Saved me once from starting all over again.

Is there now way to back up just one specific game? The way I understand that, it backs up ALL your games?

When I go into the Project Cars file there are a bunch of files called Ghost Recording, do I need to save those too?

No. But you can if you want.

or better still...

Settings > Application saved data management > Auto upload > Enable Automatic Uploads
Then choose which games you want to back up.

If you want to do this when you finished gaming and put PS4 in rest mode, make sure you set:
Settings > Power Saving Settings > Set functions available in rest mode > stay connected to internet.

To recover data from online storage...

Settings > Application saved data management > Saved data in online storage > Download to system storage and choose which game you want to recover.

on the PS4 there is a limit of 1 GB than can be used by any Game..
So all of the replay files count towards that as well as the Game Progress file.

You can copy them all to the PS+ or to a USB drive that is FAT32 formated.
PS+ also a limit to how much can be saved.

So the USB option is Best..
I got a 1 TB external USB 3.0 HDD
and plug in to USB port 1 ( the 3.0 port )
Saves are very Fast....

This is confusing, according to this post, PS raised it to 10gb (v 3.0 and for plus members), but still i run out of space (not even near 10, have like three games on ps4 and 10-ish replays from pCars)
