There isn't one. The OP wants this to be a stickied thread where Thrustmaster users can request help.

For Thrustmaster T150

Put the wheel in 900 degree mode (as stated in picture above)
Calibrate your wheel, first time it asks you turn it all the way to 100, the second time it asks you, turn it back to 900. (I do this every time I start the game because of a bug which makes Formula A understeer, perhaps it forgets the FFB settings?)
Use these (http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?41376-Thrustmaster-T150-Force-Feedback-Setting-Suggestions&p=1200856&viewfull=1#post1200856) FFB settings
And use one of the car setups from Oscar in the above link to customize individual cars FFB settings. I use Sop/Lateral and just race Formula A.

HazMan1988

Because it works better in 900 degree mode in pCARS.

My t500 felt too fast in 900 on wheel i just calibrate it at 900 in game. 1080 just feels bad you still turn the wheel the same in 900 1080 you lose FFB or something .

the greater the degree of rotation the more you have to turn the wheel to turn the car.
1080 may i suppose in theory be more precise but its too slow imo. i dont even know if pcars supports 1080d

ok guys, need some help. I just got my t150 this morning. When i turn the wheel left, there is a clicking sound (and feel) to the wheel all the way until lock (as if the belt/gear drive is messed up). It doesnt do it at all when turning right. It also doesnt do it when the wheel is calibrating, but does it when im using the wheel. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I kind of derped and didn't read the directions clearly on install. I thought it had to have all four screws into the base... thus putting it far too close to make any sort of movement. But I got it on the farthest setting with two screws in. I now know what I was missing, because the brake feels fantastic.

Still no mods have answered why the game has control over your steering wheel the second the race starts.. You would have thought that any one with a right mind would have had a failsafe in and changed this to when the count down starts before the game was released.. There's no reason for the game to be able to control my steering wheel until the race starts

Hi Guys,

Sorry if I ask a silly question.

I have been using some of the settings from the forum regarding t300rs preferred settings. I have ffb at 75, tf at 80 and steering gain at .75 as suggested by morpwr. I then use Jack Spade's car settings with mz turned way down again as suggested by morpwr. For me I like the way this feels and have had no problems stressing out the motor on the t300rs. The fan on the wheel turns off moments after closing the game.

However occasionally i will get random times when there is a slight buzz coming from the wheel (can only be heard when the sound is off on the tv) and after this the wheel goes incredibly light. After I have quit and go to load the game up again the wheel won't calibrate unless I set it in full left lock before plugging it in. What I have found fixes this is running the t300 motor calibration from my pc.

I have read posts where people have had similar issues with the wheel overheating due to settings being higher than they should, I have had this in the past however after using the suggestions from morpwr this has stopped other than these random occasions. Is this a bug in the game or is there something wrong with my wheel?

Thanks

I have had the calibration issue you talk about. Exactly the same happened to my t300. Initial calibration would go on forever. It did calibrate properly when starting from full left lock, as it does with you. My wheel also felt as having more resistance turning left than right, when not powered. I never noticed a buzzing sound myself and my issue also wasn't occasional at all; it did it every single time. Only doing the lock trick made it calibrate.
Being within warranty period, I sent the wheel back to TM and they have replaced it without any hassle. They told me it was a hardware failure. I'm still not entirely sure if they have sent me a new base or have just repaired it, but it works like the charm it was before so what do I care.

If you're still eligible for a warranty claim, I suggest you make use of it.

cschuy2003
07-02-2016, 22:13
Once my wheel does it then it will do it every time, however there is a t300 motor calibration tool that I have used which fixes it. It will be fine for a little while and then it happens again.

I have sent thrustmaster a video of this happening at their request. Well within warranty so I will be sending this back I believe.

Can someone help me with setup for my t300rs ?

i have bought the wheel and game slightly after release and until today i am still having trouble finding good settings .
I have tried the jack spade files i found on a dutch forum , and those where better than the original settings , alot better .
But i would like to have my wheel behave more like in the real world , i have driven a few different cars until now and what i feel in reality is far from my t300 , i dont want those masked forces in my wheel , only the things i would feel in my wheel in a real car . what do i have to do to achieve that ? Now the wheel just interferes with my input and makes riding more difficult than it should be .

It would be perfect if it could have the feel of a regular standard car wheel with powered steering , not too much force , still easy to turn

If someone could help me that would be awesome , at this point im just wasting my time on fiddling with those parameters that i dont understand ...

Hey subby I'm using morpwr's setting and loving them. I'm also using jack spades 66% but had to turn down the FFB to 45 because the wheel waa to heavy/strong but morpwr said to try his classic because they don't have sop lat in them and apparently sop lat stacks on top of mz and fy making those forces to strong

On PS4, to be recognized as a T300 RS, the USB sliding switch on the racing wheel base must be set to the PS4 position before plugging the USB (on PS3 position the wheel is recognized as a T500 RS).

Hi, I have a PS4 with T300RS Wheel and since the last update I cannot calibrate the brake pedal beyond 50% and sometimes it does not register at all. I use the same wheel on other games and it works fine, e.g. WRC etc. It is only Project Cars that the brake will not calibrate. Even when it does work, it will lose its effectiveness when i start the track.
Any ideas, I'm sure its not a hardware problem as it works on all other driving games.

Hi, I would like to buy a steering wheel to use with Project Cars on PS4. I have looked at the online list of compatible wheels but I suspect there is a mistake on the list. Follow the link below so you can see the list I am referring to.

http://www.gamepur.com/news/15449-project-cars-supported-wheel-list-pc-ps4-and-xbox-one-revealed-game-vs-real.html#gpimg_0

One of the compatible wheels listed for PS4 is the Thrustmaster T100. I am confused as I understand this is a wheel for use only with PS3?

Is this a typing mistake? There is no mention of a Thrustmaster T150, should it be listed here instead of the T100?

I would like to buy a T150 Ferrari edition but I need to be sure it will work before I buy it.

If they will drop in price. :D sim racing is very popular at the moment so don't expect to see a price drop any time soon.
If you're not a hardcore simracer gamer than a T150 will do of course. It has a decent FFB and according the reviews a good bang for the buck.

I've installed the PC drivers and updated the firmware. The PC is finding it with no issues when it's switched to PS3 but when i switch it to PS4 and reset. nothing.

cheers

Hello Thrustmaster users , i have all Fanatec gear and with Sony not looking like being very cooperative i might have to jump over to the blue side .
My question is can my Fanatec CSR Elite pedals connect to Thrustmaster T150 ?
After spending a bit purchasing my Fanatec gear i cant really spend too much , so T150 is about the limit .
If the T150 will be compatible , great but how will the forcefeed back compare to my Fanatec GT2? Anyone tried both ?

The Fanatec pedals are not compatible with thrustmaster wheels. (as gotdirt410sprintcar stated, you can use them together but only on pc)

I was in the same position as you. I've ditched my gt2 and csr elite pedals and switched to t300 rs and t3pa pro pedals. ($$ I know $$)
In my opinion the pedals are comparable but I prefer the t300 over gt2.
I've never used the t150 so can't really help you there but I think it would be a step back from the gt2

That's not right. I drive with Fanatec V2 Clubsport Pedal + T500 RS on PS4 ! You need the CPX-Adapter ! http://www.basherboards.com/CPX
It works for TX, T300 + T500 ! T150 , i don't know .

I Race with a Guy using a T150 and He is Fast!!! I think he uses the stock Pedals

From what ive Read and saw in reviews the T150 is Comparable to the T300...only diff a Little weaker and the Rim is Not changeable. Even though the Stock Pedals are Cheap Looking at 1024 points of Movement that Makes them Better than the V1 & V2 Pedals just with a Less Quality build....I think The T500 pedals i Have perfirm just as well as My V3 pedals... Even though they dont have a Load Cell!!! once i got used to the Brake pedal i could drive No Assist and Not lock up the Brakes.

Yeah the T150 is a definite step down from the GT2 .
The T150 is just for GTS and any other first party games as Sony wont allow Fanatec =( . The Fanatec will be for all others .
It seems that SMS cant or wont get PSVR to work with pCars so Gran Turismo it is for my vr needs but really dont wont to be playing with a DS4 .
Ive done a install onto my rig with the T150 and a brake mod just to see how it compares to my Fanatec . The brake mod helps but i will definitely be putting the GT2 back on asap .

Nah Mate my current setups will do just fine , lol
Fanatec GT2 , Elite pedals for pCars , Assetto Corsa , Dirt . Etc.
Thrustmaster T150, stock pedals with brake mod for Sony first party stuff .
All good , Thanks .

Hey Guys,

I got some issues with my T500.
My pedals are really sensitive and I cant get them right.
Specially in group A it's really dificult to drive because my brakes constantly lock up.
I've tried other games likes Asseto Corsa on my PC but I dont have any issues there.
When I try to calibrate them in Project Cars on my PS4 I barely have to touch the pedal to hit 100%.
I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything about this specificly.

Maybe I'm calibrating them wrong or are there other settings I can try and adjust?

there is a separate sub menu that allows you to adjust sensitivity of the steering, throttle, brake and clutch. Its the menu before the button assignment one.

Hi all new here.
Played Pcars when it first come out on ps4 with controller and realised it needs a proper wheel setup. Due to space issues never could have a setup. Finally bit the bullet and got A Playseat Challenge and thrustmaster t500rs and 2 t8ha shifters one for handbrake all sorts of upgrades break mod etc thanks to the great stuff i read on this forum, and got 2 extra wheels and an F1 and a Nardi driftwheel. Eager to get on and get some game time in to find issues i need help with please.
My t500 wont turn on.
Got it to turn on once it calibrated startup.
Only worked on dclub came out read some bits regards new firmware downloaded from thrustmaster sight went through the install as per instructions hoping it will make it work on Pcars.
After the restart of the computer etc the wheel has never turned on again no matter how many times i uninstall and then retry i get not power to it.
Wont see it regardless.
I've spent the last 20 hours trying to get this bloody thing to work but i'm at the last point before it gets chucked out the window and shot out of the sky like a clay pigeon with my Browning shotgun.

I really don't know what else to try or in any particular order as it it so finicky to make sure when it should or not be plugged or powered.

Hopefully someone can help would be very appreciative.

P.S

I didn't know whether this should be in this thread or in a pc one but i want to use on ps4.

Just thought of something. I know I saw a way to do a hard reset of the thrustmaster wheels if they lose the firmware. You have to do it from the thrustmaster site but I think I saw a link in this forum on how to do it. Not sure if that's your problem but its a thought.

Don't mind if I go a bit off topic here. Mr. morpwr, may I ask about your universal ffb setting? I am using T300RS with 599XX Rim(don't know if that makes a difference) and I have been trying out your ffb setting. One thing I find awkward though is that the ffb seems too light. I am more of a skinny guy and I can still hold the wheel with one hand no problem even for GT3 cars. Would really love to have that feeling of what others called 'my thumb hurts' experience, but am more scared that I may mess up the overall ffb. Can you please help me have a setting which provides greater force while not harming the feeling? Or is there anything that I may miss if I am not familiar with steps to set universal ffb?

Are you using my old ones or new ones posted at the bottom of the oscarolim site? My new ones the ffb is 68. As for the thumb hurts experience I don't think you will get that with mine as I wanted a realistic wheel weight. I really don't understand the super heavy wheel myself as no cars are like that in real life. Even most race cars have power steering. The heavy wheel weight will sacrifice a lot of ffb feel that you really want as our wheel can only do so many things at once. But that's just my opinion.

Allow me to be a little bit greedy. So for modern cars the ffb is right since it has power steering, but do I have to increase it for older cars? I'm still new to cars so I don't really know when has power steering become a thing. Just think that it makes driver easier to control the car :P

The game will adjust the wheel weight for you so older cars will be heavier. Like the 49c one of my favorites and the mustang feels light like they really do. Old mustangs even the non power steering cars have a very light wheel compared to most modern cars. The new mustang gt feels about like a new one does with my settings. the front wheel drive cars will feel pretty heavy too as id expect because everything is happening up front. Braking, drive and steering plus they usually torque steer quite a bit.The wheel weight even in a race is not as heavy as a lot on here would think. Old ones yes they had heavier steering due mostly to no power steering but I even in nascar you can easily turn the wheel with one hand. Remember in a lot of cases you need to shift with one hand so it shouldn't be necessary to have both hands on the wheel all the time. Obviously in a corner you want two hands. Hope that helped.

Yes you have to love no synchro transmissions.lol I still love when people buy an old car as a toy that has 4 wheel no power drum brakes and expect it to stop like new car. I get it all the time theres something wrong with the brakes. No that's just how they stop.lol

Hi, im having trouble with my thrustmaster ferrari f430 wheel, I have been using this wheel for some time now and it works fine with the ps4. But the stock pedals that come with the wheel dont include a clutch pedal, so I bought a thrustmaster RGT pro clutch edition and connected those pedals to my old wheel, but there the clutch pedal doesnt work. The brake and accelerator work fine and show input but the clutch doesnt. I have tested the wires inside the whole thing and they all show current but the ps4 just doesnt register the input from the clutch pedal... Does anyone know any settings to change or something like that?

I have some issues with me T150. It feels like I have to turn it way to far to get the corners right. Over 180 for some (not even hairpin) ones. It just doesn't feel right, but mostly I don't like it......

I've tried the "Mode + key left" option, but that doesn't seem to work for me, also calibrating the wheel in the PCars settings doesn't do the trick. Is it me? Or am I missing something?

Yes, because you don't want to drive a bus on track, like me, and yes you are missing something.
What you're missing is the steering ratio parameter in car tuning setup menus. Try setting that to 15:1 before you load a track. Work your way to lower numbers if you want less wheel rotation.

My scoops where 60 27 , now i got 49 19 or 50 20. The red line was dead center with yellow line

Hello, i bought a Thrustmaster T100, which is not made for the PS4 but definitely in the compatibility list with Project Cars. The first months I had 0 problems, but then a problem appeared in-game : when I start a race (or any event) with the wheel instead of the dualshock, the game pauses automatically. If a un-pause it, the game re-pause it immediately. It is impossible for me to play with my wheel for a year now. I contacted Thrustmaster, but after a test on my wheel it appeared completely normal, and it works perfectly with other racing games.

The PS4 seems to recognize the wheel because there is not a sign "please reconnect", but the game is just constantly on pause, I cannot un-pause it...

If someone had the same issue and could help me ! Thank you :)

I just checked, for the pad the option button is associated with "pause", but the wheel is no longer detected by the game. I can navigate through scars menus with the wheel but in the configuration menu the wheel does not appear, only the gamepad...

I already reinstalled the game and nothing changed...

PS : if I make any grammar mistakes forgive me I am not english ;)

Are you using the controller meaning are you pushing x when you start the game from the controller if so wheel will not pick up only be controller and wheel will still be able to navigate I think but the controller will be number one not wheel.

AdVitam
02-01-2017, 17:43
I didn't understand what you meant exactly, but I think I can still answer haha : I launch the game with the controller, then in the menu I connect my wheel. Then i disconnect the controller (the message "please reconnect" appears), but I press X with the wheel an can navigate through the menu...

Mahjik
02-01-2017, 17:59
Set "Pause" to anything else and see if that mitigates the issue.

AdVitam
02-01-2017, 21:36
I tried to set "pause" to an other button, it did not change anything... It was strange actually because when I tried to set the button with the wheel, I could not do it because the game detects too many "actions", as if I was pushing too many buttons at a time. And in a race, I could play with the controller but the wheel still does not respond... If I let the controller connected to the ps4, the game does not pause automatically but I cannot play with the wheel, it is not detected...

gotdirt410sprintcar

All I can say is have wheel plugged in and calibrated before you start game. Then start the game wheel should calibrate again then it ask push x do it on the wheel not the controller . It should detect wheel in less I don't get your problem that's how I do it never have a problem. Don't touch control till you push x on wheel then your controller can be used in menu and your wheel will be number 1.

Your starting game then plugging wheel in the game the game picks up the controller not wheel in less you do it before the game starts.

I'm surprised it worked like that. Ive always connected the wheel before I turn the ps4 on so it sees the wheel not the controller. Glad you got it straightened out.

It might work but the FFB feels wrong. But i tried your t300 settings on base feels good i like how the wheel gets tight feels nice.

Now i have settings from another guy that work and my FFB line looks like yours on my t500 omg i was right all long lol. I think i will like it but T500 still might be my go too wheel a few changes on that side. I was tuning on it last night getting pwm's right on t500 is a must t300 hardly no friction all i did was add pws positive one click for me . Nice job. the t500 fan dont run hard like it does on t300 and not as load on t500

My buddy has just upgraded from a T150 to a T300, he reckons it's got a very strong feeling of auto centre kicking in constantly. Any ideas? I told him to make sure his FW is up to date.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
He's using Morpwr's globals and JS's per car settings.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I currently have a Ferrari 599x wheel setup for my PS4 Pro but was wondering if I might be better off with the Ferrari F1 add on wheel as far as extra buttons go. My question is, are there more available buttons to map with the F1 wheel seeing as there is an extra D pad? Also, I like the "diff in" and "charge" place on the wheel, would be good for brake bias and roll bar adjustment! Hopefully my thinking is right here. Any help is appreciated.

My birthday is in a week so this would be great!

Yes i think you can map more but dont let it fool you not all buttons work but there is more buttons than most tm wheels. FFB WILL be better too.

Hello everybody
I have a PS4 pro, a T300 and F1 wheel add-on. Until today I mapped a few command and every thing was OK, but today I try to map more command and I had a big problem : I have this message (the message is in french, I try to translate it correctly)
there is missing command that required to be affected

At this point I can just click OK and it is impossible to save the configuration, cancel it or go further !
the only solution I found beside reboot, is to reload the default configuration in the menu.

Any clue about that

Tanks in advance

Hello,
Some commands have to be assigned or you can't continue. Write down the default ones you have now and make sure they are assigned if you change any others.

Hello

Thanks to your answer, but the problem is that I just add new command, for example I trie to add "Call the pit".
But I did not finish my investigation, I will make some more test and if I find a solution I will post it.

thanx

Another solution is to buy a usb keyboard and then you can assign all controls.

Yeah I use an USB keyboard as well. So many buttons to assign. Can't be all assigned to a wheel or pad.

Perhaps a strange question but can you use the clutch from the T3PA pedals when shifting gears with the wheel flippers or does it only work in cooperation with the shifter add on?

I don't have the shifter add-on for the G29 but the clutch pedal still works. For paddle-shift cars I use the clutch at the start line.
Should be the same for the T3PA :)

Cool thanks.. I hope to receive my T150 Pro tomorrow. I had a normal T150 but I had to send it back due to very very noisy fan.
Now A T150 Pro because of the T3PA pedals. :-)

Too who ever has pro pedals that they use inverted i have added a extra spring too mine and it works great , what i did bought three sixteenths threaded rod half inch wide flat stock one eighth thick. 6 three sixteenths nuts, washers,

When pedals are inverted the foot rest has a hole there in a perfect spot. I cut flat stock like 5 inches long drilled a hole on top and bottom then Drill hole threw the pedal arm, if you look at the side of the arm it looks like triangles from bottom of pedal four triangles up is where i drilled the hole. Bottom of when inverted if you get lost, put thread rod threw bolt it on both sides of arm and bolt flat stock too thread rod i have that bolted at one end of rod with too nuts. Then connect spring its one of those springs that stretch. Works great more stiff more control at the beginning of the pedal . If i get pictures i will post. 13.00 mod.Lol and i found spring for brake pedal if you use that, take it to the store find one that is close mine is a little longer but its definitely better.

I have it bolted towards the brake peda side and its not in the way.

I'm throwing in the towel after scouring the internet for the days- I need help.

Wheel: T150
Console: PS4
Set and calibrated to 900 degrees.
Using the settings by Marvsche97 on page two and Jack Spade's classic setup.

Here's the problem, most likely a glitch;
I cannot feel understeer at all. Nor can I feel driving into the wall at any speed. The steering wheel is just right and there is no feedback on the road. I get feedback when I drive over kerbs but that's the only time I feel it.

Here's the kicker- in my roughly 20 hours of playing the game, there have been two instances, completely random where it was working how it's intended- almost felt like AC. I was getting so much more feedback that I shaved 2.1 seconds off my lap at Laguna Seca in a Gumpert Apollo. I also got the feedback randomly on California highway once and I felt like a driving God. I was getting all types of feedback and not crashing into barriers because I finally could feel when I was slipping and when I was on the limit of grip.
Otherwise I have to listen closely to the tires to see if they're squealing and that's the only way I know to back off the throttle.

Note: This happened completely randomly and was gone again when I restarted the game

Now if these breakthroughs happened more often, I may be able to pin point what exactly it is that induces them but since they've only happened twice, completely randomly, I have no idea.

Please help those two times were a JOYFUL experience and I need more of it in my life!

Just something to try, as I know the G29 (possibly other TM wheels) doesn't work and/or gets weird with the DS4 still on.
If it's working for you that's great.

To be honest, I don,t know. When the lady is not at home I play without my headset of course now I've read this I'm wondering if there is any difference between the two options. So will put it to the test. :) If it makes a difference then I need to find a way to plugin my headset in the PS4 as I only have a jack plug headset.

Be sure to start the game using your wheel and not the DS4. You might also want to try using the default wheel settings again just to see what's what.
You can reset your wheel settings by pressing triangle whilst in the options menu.
Let us know how you get on man.

Yeah I always start Pcars with the wheel button instead of the controller. If I start pcars with the controller it won't recognise the wheel.
I have a couple of days annual leave so will reset the wheel and start fiddeling around with the settings.. will post my findings.

Can anyone help me! I've just bought a PS4 Pro and I really like it(my first console). I have a T300 wheel which I was using on my PC, however I can't get it work on the PS4? I've switched the switch over to PS4 and when I press the button that turns it asks who is using the controller, but I don't know what to do from here? No other buttons work? When I load the game up, there is no wheel in the options. The wheel has the latest firmware and so does the PS4.

OK instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd add my problem to this one = I'm trying to use Thrustmaster T150 wheel and pedals on Project Cars 2 - game won't recognize I have a wheel, hell the PS4 doesn't recognise it at all - sure it spins left, right centre on start up but thats the only acknowledgement that the wheel exists - I've plugged the wheel into the pc and updated the firmware and checked it all works, then plug it back into PS4 and nothing -I'm at the end of my tether with this, the T150 is close to being binned = please help!!! I've deleted PCars2, reinstalled PCars played one race with wheel, thought - cool it works on PCars, reinstalled PCars2 and the wheel isnt recognised - doesnt run on PCars now either so 170 for one Clio race at Donington!! Phoned Thrustmaster who were fairly useless, just directed me to everything I'd done already.

Hi - thanks for replying

Yes I've been trying that - the buttons on the wheel ARE working (when I test them hooked up to a laptop) but the PS4 doesn't respond to button presses from the wheel.
