I am resigned to the fact that PCars will never get tire wear/grip fixed!! I always have my wear on real, and as far as that goes I can even turn it off, but you can't change the grip settings. Even though racing tires are supposed to give the best grip, I still slide around like I am on a sheet of ice!

Drop your pressures to get the temps to 90C

I did a 25 lap race in the rain tyre wear set to SLOw..I had to pit after lap 12 and 24 the AI didnt pit ONCE!...tyre wear in the rain is BROKEN!....thats what patch 8 had done, ruined my game.

I think this thread probably needs to be merged with the roll back patch 8 thread

Issue is more that the AI have a simplified tyre model that doesn't match the Human model

While i understand the simple AI model is needed to keep up the FPS , it should at least match expected
i ran a 30 lap race around Donnington Int 90% AI , GT3 in the dry .. i was down to 80% tyre wear by lap 20 , and 70% with very little grip by lap 30 and the AI was able to corner n race away faster than i could
(average lap time 1.06)

Comparing against AI isnt the way forward until they match it , however i do prefer the current tyre model as it does feel more realistic (wet testing will commence this weekend)

Yeah I am hearing that the NEW rain tire thing is totally screwed again. It WAS better after 7, and needs to be put back how it was, and I guess that would mean another patch...which probably won't happen

I have tried everything from highest to lowest pressures, and everything between, and doesn't seem to make much difference!

Isn't there another thread just like this?
